I would not recommend U Haul to anyone based on the way I was treated yesterday. I was a loyal customer spending thousands of dollars on this move. I tried to extend my rental because my situation had changed and I needed the truck. I was told someone else needed it and I should turn it in. They didn’t try to accommodate me in my situation at all. The supervisor got on line and confirm all this, and I would be charged for inconvenience to the other customer. I turned the truck in . I went by the location where the truck was later and to my surprise the truck was still there hours after it was supposed to be rented out to another customer, I have photo of truck. I am extremely put off by the handling of this transaction and the way it was handled.The way customers are treated do matter. Maybe Penske will do better when I call them for a truck.

ANTOINETTE SI made reservations for a 15-footer or 20-footer in late January for a February 26th move, was guaranteed the reservation the day before I needed it, and also had a guaranteed quote. But when I arrived for the truck, I was told the individual who rented the truck the day before had not returned the same truck that I was guaranteed, ending up with a 10-footer instead, therefore having to make three (3) trips to move into my new apartment. This experience has left me with bad views and vibes for U-Haul. Never again will I use their services. It's our own people who say one thing and do another. You Lost a loyal customer, but people are starting to pay attention to the Guarantees, promises, and lies that you extend.

Tatiana BNo idea. My experience was seamless. The vehicle was ready when promised. It was clean and had a full tank of gas. Upon my arrival, l received a copy of all the requisite paperwork. The truck was in fine working order. I was able to complete my task with no muss or fuss. The return was just as easy as the pickup. I parked the rental where I initially found it, took a pic of the odometer, locked the doors, handed in the keys, made payment and left with my copy of the final paperwork. From now on, Haynes Firestone is my "go to" for all my truck rental business.
Gary CI asked for a pick up truck to get there amd see they only had a small truck I ended up taking the truck right back because what I was trying to move was on a parking garage and the truck was 2 tall to fit didn't even but 5 miles on the truck and was still charged for it

Gregory SI ordered a appliance dolly and it was not included yet I'm still being charged for it. Also we filled the gas up to where it was when we got it yet I'm being charged a fuel surcharge. I got the U-Haul on Sunday 2/26 and the transaction is still pending as of Thursday 3/2 but the amount of the pending transaction keeps changing. Overall not a good experience.

heather lMake sure to take a before and after of milage and gas. This location will try to cheat you and when signing the initial agreement they underline estimated total. When you return the milage rage is doubled and they say you drove more miles over all. They really tried to finesse. Then ask what you think you worth getting your money back. Very unsatisfied

Bruce ENothing. Everything was great. We scheduled a Uhaul for 6pm but they close at 5. The owner at the shop waited on us even though he didn't have too. That was very nice of him to do.

Renee EThe pick up location was fine but it was not the one I requested, I had to travel 20+ minutes to an independent location vs the large Haul dealer 5 minutes from my house. I tried calling multiple times to get the location changed and tried online as well. Your system is very frustrating and the inability to speak to someone knowledgeable has left me unable to ever recommend Uhaul to anyone. I was given incorrect information that would have changed my reservation. When I booked the trailer it would not let me select fewer than three days, I only needed the trailer for 24 hours, I was told by both the UHaul dealer and Haynes Firestone that my bill would be adjusted at drop off for the shortened use. When we dropped the trailer off in Chicago I was told by the drop off location that I was all set and that they would email my receipt, I asked him for the new total and a copy and he told me I was paid in full and that no adjustments would be made because it was a one way flat fee??? How come nobody at either of the Cleveland locations that I spoke to knew this? I paid $127.00 for a trailer with bald tires for less than 24 hours. Had I known this was going to be the case I would have rented a Penske truck for a little bit more and put the miles on their vehicle. That fact that I was unable to speak to anyone at UHaul corporate was very frustrating as well, I called no less than 6 times to wait on hold indefinitely finally giving up each time.
