The issue was not with Heltons. They are amazing. The issue was the last person that rented the trailer did not make anyone aware that when loaded, the trailer will shake your teeth. 50mph and up to 65mph. I made aware the drop point and they are taking care of the issues.
BRIAN DAlthough the sign and online said they would be open, no one was there. We needed assistance getting the hitch off so I called the number. The man who answered said no one would be in that day. I told him we “needed assistance” and he said he could not help us. Didn’t even try to be verbally helpful, ask questions or offer suggestions. The uhaul app was very helpful.
MARK DIf blankets are requested, with NO contact to inform otherwise and only one available is totally unacceptable!
KEJUWON JWhen we got there the truck they put us in had just been returned. The worker did not check the mileage or anything on the truck. I drove around 15 miles as expected and now they are charging me for over 100 miles because they did not check the mileage when the truck came back from the previous customer. I wrote on the contract how many miles were actually on the truck and they are still wanting to charge me over 200 for going 15 miles.
LAURA SHelton's great, I put no on "were the personnel helpful" because it was after hours. Your website is a cumbersome, to say the least. Took forever to return it online. Never has been the best for making reservations.

KEJUWON JThey open at 8am. We were there at 7:50 and waited form them to open. No one showed up until after 8:30. Then they told me my order was all wrong and they had to redo it. It took over an hour to get over truck. It case our whole move to be thrown off schedule and messed up our day completely. We where booked to pick up the truck at 8am so it's not like they didn't know.

sydasia bBad experience. I showed up to drop trailer off. Went inside building, very clutter and looks like it seconds as a bingo hall. Had to walk around until I found a guy in a back office. I told him I had a trailer to drop off that I rented from an Alabama store. He said “just drop it wherever”. I asked if there was any paperwork or verifications, he told me not to worry about it, that he would go out in a bit and get it checked in. It just felt odd to me, so I backed the trailer by the others in their drive and after I unhooked, I took several pictures because I felt uneasy about the whole exchange. Luckily I did. I dropped trailer off on July 2, and on July 11 someone from U-Haul called me asking me where the trailer was that it had not been dropped off. Well long story shorten, I explained the photos to this person and I called into 1800Uhaul and explained them to that person, after a bit of panic, I have been reassured it has been located and my account is closed without any additional charges. However, I’m not 100% confident- weird situation

Vicky MI did a self rental I didn’t have any interaction with this Dealer, my problem is with Traffic. I made this reservation 2 weeks prior and made it very clear to reservation manager that I couldn’t travel.I needed the truck to be close. Her conversation was very cutthroat, 2 seconds kind of treatment. When the day came, I open the app and it is still showing my preferred location as a pick up, and I get there to have no truck because it was scheduled to Little Rock and not informed, I called the 800 number and the person I spoke too was very understanding and she transferred me to my local traffic department. The reservation manager I spoke too helped me find another truck, smaller(15foot) than the one I needed (26 foot), something is better than nothing at all so, I truly appreciate her help (I forgot her name). Having a smaller truck required a lot more trips, therefore costing more in miles and fuel. I worked for Uhaul for 6 1/2 years. I worked traffic, CSR and CCR, I know how Uhaul work’s. I was very disappointed at the way my reservation was scheduled. The person I spoke too, for scheduling my reservation, left her customer service at home.

Jared SWe followed all the steps and checked-in, got our trailer, and started moving. An hour later I got a call saying they were going to cancel my rental because I hadn’t checked in. I called, and was on the phone for 20 minutes with someone who obviously had know idea what they were doing and asked us the exact same questions over and over. Then she tried to blame us by saying that we picked the wrong trailer and check in time, even though it was the one recommended by the UHaul website. She finally got it to go through once she put the correct vehicle specs on there. She wasted 20 minutes of our small window of moving. I wouldn’t recommend UHaul to anyone because it caused us an inconvenience to an already busy and stressful day.
Kyle DI have rented Uhaul equipment three times in the last two years, but this is my first time using this facility, and this was by far the worst experience. I rented the vehicle for my daughter and son-in-law to move. They arrived 10 minutes early, and the person working the counter seemed confused about what they were there to do. They were told to wait until the person who handled renting the equipment. This is somewhat understandable since the business's primary job is a wrecker company. However, this is at 9 a.m., so I expect someone to be available then. The person did not arrive until 9:40 am, 40 minutes into the rental time I paid for. It took another 20 minutes before they had completed the paperwork, which is odd since I completed the online check-in. And this person was unprofessional for the check-in and return which did not sit well with my daughter. I understand that life happens and there are bad days, but I definitely will not be using this facility in the future.
Donivan BI made a reservation for an appliance dolley and some blankets which they didn't bother telling me so we had to spend a hour more looking for one and the one we found at another u haul wouldn't allow me to take it out of town so had to take it back before left
MONA NThe open bed trailer had caked mud and residue when it was picked up. Clearly not cleaned by the prior customer and not subsequently cleaned by the dealer. I returned it in the same dirty state in which it was received. This only after the dealer I originally rented from on the U-Haul site the day before was closed and the phone non-functional. When I called U-Haul they admitted the dealer was closed but remained functional on the website.
Jeff AWhen I got the uhaul the door was jammed and it was glass inside it I had to return to Uhaul to get it fixed so I fell the price I owe should be taken off

Bobby MI was not given a dolly, but I was charged for it. I would only recommend to someone if I was reimbursed for my missing equipment
Tammy NWill never use Helton's again. They did not leave the correct key for my rental; they did not leave the correct code to even get the key. The man that answered the phone did not want to help, he said that they are closed. However, the door said open with the hours on it. I was charged for fuel when I didn't even use the rental because they had messed up. Having to fight to get my refund for a rental I never even used! Use anywhere but Helton's!
Staci kCalled and person that answered why very rude, along with used my own towing equipment that I bought and didn’t even have u haul branding on it and tried to take it and be very disrespectful and rude. Would not recommend this place to pick up or drop off ever again.

Randall HThe absolute worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I scheduled a pick up at 8am, when they are supposed to open. I had to wait 30 minutes before somebody that could help me arrived. Then when I was assisted, the lady at the desk was pretty rude. Poor location overall and they sully the name of U-Haul. Y’all should truly consider removing your product from Helton’s towing. They leave a bad taste in your mouth and I know it is not U-Haul’s fault, but others might feel that it is U-Haul’s fault. You need to send a secret shopper in or something so you can see for yourself how pathetically they conduct themselves
