Martin LU-Haul 10' should be Class "G" good normal drive U-Haul 21' should be Class "D" too long but bad shocker wheel is very bad. I do not have Class "D" License Thanks
GERARD BMake sure your U-Haul’s are clean with no grease due to the fat people move furniture, if you have a four day rental and you get it, returned in one day or two days charge two days make it easier to communicate less emails just overall make it better

David RThe team was not prepared when I arrived. We had to find the trailer, then we had to free it from a snow bank. It took close to 45 minutes to hook the trailer to my vehicle because of these delays. In spite of me arriving to U-haul early, I was still late for my subsquent appointment. That said, everyone was nice to me, which I appreciated but I would have prefered effiency over friendly if both could not be achieved.
ROGER TThe app should be upfront about distance estimates and it should be a required piece of information to give when booking; BEFORE you get to the facility. Be upfront about the additional features each truck has. I didn't know this vehicle didnt have a ramp until I arrived and asked the employee. And I didn't know it didn't have any places for me to attach straps until I was looking at the interior of the truck. And didnt know I was expected to pay for this gas guzzling monstrosity after already paying for the damned thing. Ended up being a waste of time AND $200. Just use a trailer, folks. Talk to EVERYBODY you know before you come crawling to UHaul. Don't waste your time here.
MADELINE GI booked a 12’ trailer in Sault Ste. Marie and specifically asked for the second line location at Home Hardware and went to pick up the trailer and they said my reservation was in Echo Bay! I was in a time crunch and had to rent an 8’ instead and sacrificed damaging furniture that was packed too tight. Booking person screwed up but Second Line location people were great.
Steve CI rented an enclosed trailer and it leaked on my couch, kids bed, my bed and all my other furniture not pleased and will no longer rent from U-Haul

Ranjit OI rented the 5x9 utility to move a motorcycle, and I have to say i love this little trailer. It's well built the motorcycle built in chock is excellent, the height is perfect. The only thing I'd add is metal tabs on each side of the tailgate to allow locks for travel. I love this trailer and really wish I knew if they sold once decommissioned.
Robert MWhen I went to return the truck, the regular U-Haul person was away for lunch. They had a replacement in and I waited at least 15 minutes before leaving. The replacement person was very slow. There were other customers in front of me waiting as well. I returned one and a half hours later and the regular U-Haul person was there. It literally took me a couple of minutes to return the truck which was good. A recommendation would be to train all personnel how to perform this job to in order to avoid very long waiting in line.
VICTOR AThis truck had some safety issues. The right front headlight (sealed beam) was loose and barely hanging on by the wire connection. This caused the light to shake and vibrate, annoying oncoming traffic as well as being out of alignment making visibility very difficult as we were travelling during the night. The cabin light didn't work and the drivers door had to be repeatedly slammed to keep it shut properly due to a dent in the door. The driver's seat was badly torn up and the cargo box had not been swept after the last use. I expect a call back on these issues as well as compensation for wasted time and discomfort in the cold trying to stabilize the headlight.

Franco GInspect vehicle prior to customer receiving . The interior of truck box was dirty and had broken pieces of plastic. The top of vehicle had high amounts of snow in which fell on windsheid while driving. Over all a good experience. Would recommend
RAFFAELE MMy account was supposed to remain on hold for mileage overages that were caused by U-Haul not ferrying a trailer to the pick up location. Verbally awarded extra Kms for me to make pick up and then never applied to my account. Then didn’t hold, haven’t returned calls after two promises and have taken the money for overages. Theft.

ROBERT DDo not rent a U-Haul in Sault Ste. Marie. This location was fine after the other 3 absolutely sucked. They had a ton of trucks but all were deemed for local rentals only. In Sault Ste Marie. On a random Thursday in December there are no 12,15,20 foot trucks. This location gave me a 26 footer which was way too big and difficult to drive in a lovely northern Ontario snowstorm. Also had to pay for a 26 footer when my reservation was for a 15 foot.
Christopher CThere were issues with pickup as the lock box was frozen and the truck was blocked in. Staff from the store quickly helped rectify the issue and customer service was amazing throughout. Staff was very helpful after vehicle wiper stopped working and ensured I got in contact with UHaul Roadside Assitance who quickly remedied the issue.

scott rupon arrival to my destination on sunday nov 18 2 pm the drop off depot was closed. i went the next day and was charged a late fee. i should have been informed that this location would not be open to drop off on the monday without charge

betty mI will never go to another location if renting in Sault Ste Marie! Aaron was amazing! He had just come in from mopping out a truck when I came in! He made the transaction effortless, and had me on my way within minutes! (My last u-haul was from McNabb Street, and if the company was smart, they would close down that location! Rude ignorant foreigners (and I am not racist!!) Who use the trucks as their personal vehicles, then try to put extra expenses on the customer! Aaron at the Home Hardware (Second Line location) redeemed the entire Uhaul company for me!

Hermia SThis site did not have inventory of the 4'x7' utility trailer, so I had to rent the next size (5x8) utility trailer.
John DMaintain your equipment. I have never rented a U-haul that didn’t have a flat tire and this was no exception. The difference is that this location didn’t have an employee that knows how to inflate a tire or a compressor that will compress air to a pressure required by the tires.

TAMMY mThe U-Haul website has a button for extending your reservation. When I clicked it, it said that there was another family counting on the truck being available and that I could not extend. I’m wondering if U-Haul needs to work on that section of their website because I went in person to the rental location and they had lots of trucks available. The young fellow at the counter extended my reservation with no issues. It actually made me cry with relief because our move had hit some roadblocks and the entire contents of our house was sitting on that truck and we couldn’t get into our new house until a week later than planned. In this situation, that young fellow saved me a lot of money and energy because he extended my rental and I didn’t have to unload the truck at a storage facility or reload a different truck later.
