Marie WDropped the truck off at the location I was given, called the number that I was directed to call, they didn't answer. I called five times total, no answer. App wasn't working, I called the location that I picked it up from, told them the app wasn't working and was told it's ok and I can leave it there. Left the truck at the drop-off location and left the keys and paperwork in the drop box. Got called the next day and they asked where the truck was. (Seriously). Then I got another call, they asked where the keys were.... (Yes, seriously). A few days later, I get charged for having the truck and extra three days when I returned it a day early. Tried calling the number again, couldn't get an answer, emailed, no answer. I just want my money back. This is absurd. What do I have to do to get my money back?

I don't think they check trucks in between rentals. I normally have no issues with Uhaul, but this time was an exception. I will not pick up a truck from this location again.

CHUCK STruck was not in good shape, has no gas yet I put gas in and was still charged 15 for gas. Declined safe move and was charged for that too.
Renae EDropped the truck off with the fuel gauge showing 3/8 of a tank, where it was when I picked it up. Had to show the agent a photo of the dash showing the mileage and the fuel gauge, clearing showing 3/8. He told me everything was good and that he would email me the statement. He did not even come out to look at the truck. I received the statement showing a fuel charge for $68 and the fuel level at 1/8 of a tank. The drop off location is a Shell gas station so if there had been any question about the fuel level, I could have pulled up to a pump and added what was needed. What a rip off!! And this was done to a customer that had just pulled a U haul U box trailer 2300 miles across country for them. Wow!!!

Marian LAttendant was too busy chatting on his blue tooth to pay attention. Did not request beforehand that I needed to take photos of the fuel gauge and mileage. He screwed up the fuel gauge reading and charged me for not adding fuel, plus an exorbitant fuel fee. Now I have to go back for a refund.
Robert SI was only given a 20 minute notice that my 8pm reservation at my original location could not be honored. I was connected with another U-Haul representative who began transferring my reservation to the Jimmy Deloach Blvd location, but then the call disconnected. I received no call-back! I then called U-Haul again. This new person said they transferred my reservation to the Jimmy Deloach Blvd location, and that I was all set. Upon reaching the new location, I was told there was no reservation! Additionally, the counter-person was rude and seemed to not want to help me. I then spent the next almost hour on the phone with U-Haul AGAIN trying to fix the situation only to discover that the reservation was transferred to the Ogeechee Rd location (wrong location)! FINALLY, at about 10:30pm, I secured the truck. Did not get back to my house until after 11pm! This dismal U-Haul saga did not end here; but I’m too angry and perturbed to write any more.
Phylis MThe entire rental process was unprofessional, but I needed the uhaul. I reserve the rental online; however, when I arrive the store clerk attempted to modify the rental from 24 hours 6 hours instead. She offered the insurance and I accepted the $15;insurance coverage. Upon returning the rental, I provided a screen shot of the gas/mileage from my phone. They emailed me a copy of the receipt, but the receipt was too small to view. The clerk advised he was unable ro provide a paper copy. One I was able to view the receipt from home, I realized the charged me for a different insurance package and gas. I am happy that I took before and after pictures as I will be disputing this bill.
Takiesha JWe looked for a drop box before we found the location was inside the convenience store. The lady processed the exchange duplicating the information we had put in the app but no big deal, she was being thorough. All went well!!
Christie PCity Market in Rincon needs improvement. If your vehicle is broken you shouldn't allow it to be rented. Threw off my entire day.

Sarah WUhual changed the location if my pickup where they did not have any of the equipment that I had requested and then changed the drop off location to the location I picked the uhual up at even though I picked a location out of state when I reserved the uhual. The first customer service rep argued with me and refused to do anything to help me. Everyone else that I have spoken to since has told me they’re waiting in their supervisor to look over the account. I have been charged 370 for this and it has been the worst moving experience.
Erin SWhen we arrived we had to state several times that we had a reservation, as well as state my name several times. I felt like we were being treated as if we were stupid. The appliance dolly I ordered wasn’t available and the worker didn’t seem to care.

Sammy FThe truck I was scheduled for was not at this location. The agent told and texted me this location but scheduled my truck for a different location. It took 3 hours to get a truck. Gas light was on when i got in. I had to go buy window cleaner because the windows were so filthy I couldn't see in them. The truck had a horrible odor in the cab as well as the back. The driver's side mirror constantly fell forward so I couldn't see traffic to my left. The whole experience in the first 24 hours was HORRIBLE!

DANIEL CI was given the truck with it on 1/4 tank of gas and returned it with 1/4 tank of gas and was charged $100 for not returning it on Full. When I asked the desk clerk about the fee he said that he doesn’t speak English. Very unprofessional!!!!

I tried to do storage, however the facility I was partnered with did not work with uhaul anymore, costing me an extra rental day , alot of aggravation, and twice what I thought I was goi g to pay for storage. If you want to rent a truck, just do that. Do not combine services, it will end up costing you alot more than you had planned
HENRY PPost all fees and "taxes" on the website so other people aren't blindsided by all of the additional requirements for rental.

Ruth PTire was low on air when I arrived to pickup the unit. I was told to drive to another location and demand that they give me another truck. I had a tight schedule to move on. I had to dive with an unsafe truck barely staying in the lane.

I’m very angry and frustrated as I taled to a gentleman yesterday with customer service and he was supposed to give me the field manager so we can get this worked out, but have heard nothing back.

melvin pMake sure he's giving clean trucks and available equipment as in a dolly. Also I only traveled 14 miles in total and he charged me for 4 gallons of fuel. I will be reaching out in the morning to customer service.

Jamie BLocation is easy to find. The reason I rated 2 stars is that my rental contract said to call a local number. The phone rang for 5 minutes, no answer. So I tried the mobile app and it let me go through the drop off process. The bad part was I needed to take pictures of the entire vehicle and it was pouring rain. So I’m out getting rained on taking photos of the truck and I try to wipe some of the water off my phone bc the screen isn’t working and the app closes, midway through the process. I re-open the app and I have no rentals, nothing to drop off. So I call customer support and the first woman wasnt helpful at all, but transferred me to a 2nd person who confirmed I had completed the checkin and I was good to drop off the keys. Not UHaul’s fault about the weather, but if I knew I was doing a self-service check in, I could have taken photos etc before the skies opened up. When you’re finally done with your move, you just want to drop the truck off and be done. Not fumble through a mobile app (unexpectedly) because you thought there’d be a human to at least talk to via phone to finish up.
Justin KIf you reserve a truck, I advise to schedule it first thing in the morning, otherwise you wont have a truck when you get there.
Sherron DThe truck was dirty. The cabin area was filthy with evidence of drink spills accumulation with dust. The cargo area was also filled with dirt/dust. On the positive side the customer service was excellent and there was furniture padding and a cart in the truck I did not rent that came in handy.
Gerard JThe truck had a leaking roof and I had to wrap all my belongings in plastic to prevent water damage. Truck was re rented less than 10 minutes after I dropped it off without being inspected.
Martin TMake sure truck is clean. The cargo area was no swept at all. Also the cab of the truck was dirty. Sticky chairs. And also had food and soda cans on the floor. They just need to make sure it's clean for the next person.

ANN SThe staff was unfriendly and they had none of the add ons I needed. They did hand me furniture covers from the floor though. 🙄 The truck was the dirtiest truck I’ve ever seen. I had to take Clorox wipes to the inside. The back hadn’t been sept from the previous renters. The handle on the back was broken. The truck did drive well.
Tiffany LDidn’t inspect truck because of rain. I had to convince him to finalize the turn in. I cleaned out truck and folded blankets. I was required to have 1/4 tank but brought back with 1/2 tank. Why was I charged $15? Wasn’t made aware of any additional charges. Bad experience.
GARY BQuit screwing with people's reservations! You should have stuck by the original quote with a 10 mile total. Plus, I get the change at the 11th hour. I guess the customer doesn't matter!
Daniel CI returned the truck on Monday afternoon and the local representative didn’t log in the return until Tuesday thereby creating an extra day charge. I followed the directions on the app but the process apparently failed.
Jim PThe steering on the equipment felt lose and unsafe. The cab of the uhaul was filthy from the previous renter. The check out process is smooth and great customer service!
ANEESAH ABoth Dollie’s I ordered were unavailable at pickup, and no advance warning was given. This created a difficult moving situation on the day of pickup, and resulted in lost time on my part due to lack of moving equipment to assist in my move. In the future a 24 hour notice should be given at least, along with some form of alternative offered (I.e. an alternate location for pickup of the dollies). If that’s the case, I should’ve been able to get the follies at no charge from the nearest available U-Haul location due to the inconvenience. Or, alternatively a rebate could have been offered for the price to rent / buy the Dollie’s in question from another source; since I was already paying for time with the truck to U-Haul which I would have had to waste tracking down another dolly.
Charles PCommunication between Uhaul stores and neighborhood dealers is terrible. I reserved a truck 2 weeks in advance and the location and/or size of truck was changed 4 times, and I had to call to switch it back. Walk in are prioritized above reservations and that doesn’t make sense. They are giving away trucks that are reserved for other people. It was very frustrating. Once we got the truck, everything went great.
