This whole experience was a mess. I feel like because we were going out of state we were given the worst truck possible. Paid almost $2000 for a truck that has seen better days. The amount of damage stickers already on it made it impossible to even keep up with. The cab of the truck smelled like an animal had been in there. I don't know of I will even us uhual next time. The appliance dolly was in poor shape. Wheels were well worn and stair assistance belts on the back of the dolly were torn worn. It stained my carpets of the home I was moving out of, and was so much of a hassle that I ended up purchasing my own from my local Lowe's Hardware Store. This is unacceptable.Edward H.

I was provided equipment and then called back later to say that I had not recueved the equipment with a contract initiated. This was due to an employee at the location. Additionally it was hard to get in contact with the location via phone to answer questions. I requested moving pads as well and there was none provided when I recieved the truck.Sean A.
Easily one of the friendliest and nicest experiences I have ever had when renting from a uHaul location. Trailer and equipment was very easy to grab and the owner personally went out to assist. Definitely a must-try for those in the Raeford area.JOHN A.

This establishment needs to work on its customer service skills to the maximum. I utilized the 24/7 truckshare option through my mobile app. I was never instructed to still go inside of the facility once we completed the mobile share check-in. Card information was provided during reservation. The keys were already in the truck when we arrived. After completing check in we assumed everything was good to go. Once we pulled off the lot I received a call from one of the women in the facility insinuating that we were basically STEALING the van because we were actually supposed to come inside to get the keys. If the keys were supposed to be given they should NOT have been in the truck. Also there was an almost 10 minute time frame between when we started the van up and when we actually drove off the lot. At any point EITHER of these women could have came outside and said something rather than waiting until we pull off and call me with a tone like we are stealing something I made a reservation for and provided contact info, payment info & photo id for during reservation. I did not even receive so much as an apology from the women who called me. They need training in customer service & apparently how to do their job as well because keys should not have been in the car if that is not how check in is supposed to be done.Tyler B.

After the rental agreement was signed, along with the purchase of insurance, I checked the trailer service and brake light operation. I discovered the right rear light wasn't working. I brought it to the attention of the uhaul dealer and was bluntly told they didn't have a replacement bulb nor did they have another 4x8 trailer to rent, only the next size up. I asked what I needed to do to fix the light and the employee couldn't tell me. So I left with only one tail light working on the trailer. I loaded the trailer and traveled to Michigan with one trail light. I couldn't unload the trailer in Michigan as planned due to unforeseen circumstances. I returned to NC 7 days later and when i went to download the trailer into my storage i discovered there was a leak in the trailer and everything inside was wet as it rained almost the entire trip. It took me the entire day to unload and try to dry my possessions. I returned the trailer after hours clean and in the same un working order i recieved it. I wrote on the contract in several places so it could not be missed "trailer has a bad leak". I expected a call from the uhaul store i rented the equipment to start the claim process or at least to gather information on the leak but after 2 days I have not recieved anything. This is unsatisfactory. While the store was clean and the employee was tolerable if nothing else the customer service was poor with no solutions or follow ups to some critical problems. I don't expect to have my ass kissed but I do expect reasonable accommodations with follow-up when the equipment I paid to rent has a safety issue brought to the attention of uhaul and then equipment failure resulting in personal property damaged albeit mostly temporary. I had mostly books and fabric that got wet so that will dry and can be cleaned. I also had a large bandsaw that for wet including the motor and an 18 in 2000 watt powered sub woofer I use in my music group that also got wet. Only time will tell if those items are effected. Very disappointed in a reputable company I've spent thousands of dollars on over the years.Daniel M.

The location and staff were great, however the vehicle which I rented should be taken off the road. It was truly scary at times while operating this vehicle, the transmission dragged excessively which caused the engine to operate at higher RPMs (gas mileage killer), but the amount off free-play in the steering unacceptable. I made my concerns known to the staff upon return and was assured that the issues would be noted.GREGORY K.

One point I'd like to make. Your truck cost me $400 more than Budget for smaller truck over same 4 day rental. Your service was by far superior, however, if I was to rent again I would go with the more cost effective option.anna L.
