Made the mistake of walking in versus reserving online. Even though I checked online for an estimate first, I chose to just drive there and request the truck in-person. That mistake ended up costing me significantly more. Next day, tried to get a reason why by calling main number. Was bounced around for more than a hour before the final person essentially lied the entire conversation. Claimed if I booked again, this time online, the rate would be the same. I was on the website while we were talking and consistently got a number nearly $250 less for the same service. Moral of the story, book online EVERY time!SHAD MICHAEL K.

I had ordered items that were not present when I picked up the truck - furniture dolly and 24 furniture pads. They said I would have to pick them up at another location because the U Haul person didn't do their job and ensure they had them for my rental. Apparently the UHaul person does this all the time, which is not fair to the mini mart or customer!CAROLINA D.

I was not pleased with the overall experience. The truck I rented was not available nor were the blankets I reserved several weeks in advance. The clerk at Holts was great with trying to make sure I had a truck and handling the situation. U-Haul should be embarrassed with the situation and make sure the clerk at Holts gets a bonus for salvaging horrible service by U-Haul.DARREN C.

This location is like a mini-mart. So trying to do business with them while the clerk had to handle other customers buying gas/snacks wasn't easy. She was polite and did her best, but she was trying to handle too many people at the same time. We were given no paperwork about who to call about problems or insurance (which we paid for and have always received when renting from other locations). But, the worst was the truck was filthy dirty. We've never had an issue with U-Haul trucks/trailers being dirty upon pick-up before, so didn't open the truck to look. When we got home and opened the truck we were in for a rude shock. The bed of the truck was covered in dirt and debris. Something had been spilled on the bed as well, leaving a sticky mess covering about 1/2 of the bed length. There was also gum stuck to the floor and worst of all - it appeared someone had cut themselves and blood spattered on the walls on one side. I guess I should have taken pictures, but we needed to just get loading. I spent more than an hour cleaning this truck!!! I then called the location we rented from and the clerk kept trying to offer me additional days rental even though I explained to her we didn't need the truck longer. Finally she said she would call her manager and let him know. He did call us back later and offered a discount which was acceptable. But, this put us behind in our loading/moving. Also, when we opened the truck door, the spring on the overhead door snapped. Thank goodness the door still worked so we were able to load and get moved. I called U-Haul (took 25 minutes to get through) to report this mechanical problem and the person I spoke with was very nice. We were able to move, but lesson learned - no matter how tired you are, open the truck/trailer and make sure it is clean before you leave the rental location.Michael B.

I had to get a replacement truck because the first one left my delivery guys on the side of the road for over 5 hours while customers were waiting on deliveries. Then the replacement had an issue with the driveshaft and we had to spend time and money to limp it back to the drop off location. Collectively it cost us over $180 dollars without any consideration from Uhaul's customer service.TIMOTHY W.
I Haul corporately did not send the reservation to Holt. The were very flexible, putting in a new reservation. I also decided a smaller truck would meet my needs and they accommodated me on the spot! Friendly and professional.RHONDA Y.

The gals working were very helpful. I did use the self return via the uhaul website and although it was a tad easier than check in, it most definitely was not a time saver like it was supposed to be!Judi G.
I was first told a location for picking up the car transport trailer i rented directly from Uhaul. When i went to the location to pick the car transport up, they didn't have any (even though Uhaul told me they did on the phone). They sent me to another location. When i arrived there, there was no trailer there either. As i was leaving, a gentlemen pulled in with a car transport. Nobody from the location went out to check it in, look it over, or help the gentlemen unhook it. I went in and told them i had a reservation for a car transport. They couldn't find it even though i supplied them with the number. The gentlemen returning the car transport came in and said he was returning it, would they like to check it over. They responded with "no". He then told them that they should know the blinkers didn't work and the landing gear on it also didn't work properly. Great, so I'm getting a piece of crap. Nobody offered to help me hook it up and i reminded them the blinkers didn't work or the landing gear. They really didn't care. So i fumble with it, got it hooked up, babied the landing gear, and left. The return was just as bad. Nobody is checking the Uhaul products in our out or taking care of them. The whole experience was a mess. Not happy at all. I guess Uhaul doesn't care as long as they get their money.ERIC P.

I filled it up at the location - a gas station - to exactly the amount of gas where I received it. Yet, I charged a gas fee and 10 gallons. Not cool.MATTHEW W.

Automatic hydraulic brakes where looking up. I had to pull to the side of the road with all four brakes smoking in Atlanta. Equipment not being taken care of at all. I will not be using uhaul again and will not refer to anyone. Also my card was charged for 3 extra days when I turned it in a day earlier and checked it in. Still no refund. Very displeasedGEORGE S.

This location was well lighted on my return tonight in adverse weather. The only suggestion would be to have someone available to help with trailer disconnect etc. Female clerks were helpful but this is probably pushing the physical limit to handle a trailer without assistance. ThanksHINES C.

The clerk was unable to check the equipment in and promise me to check in later when her app is working. Two days later I got call from uHaul asking me when I was going to rerun the trailer. Also the clerk won't able to help disconnect the trailer and ask me to do it myself. Told me if she had to do it for me she will have to charge me $99 for doing so. Luckily one of the customer did it for me or I won't be able to do it myself.amanda L.

They tried to have me take the truck to another location because they didn't have room for it at their lot. I told her the uhaul app was stating that there would be an additional charge if I returned it anywhere else. She then said that she could have that charge refunded but it wouldn't be refunded that same day. I then told her I'd already driven out of the way to return it there and I wasn't going anywhere else with the truck. I completed the return on the app and put the key in the drop box. She was kind in her asking but I'm not willing to drive trucks around town because they have too many trucks on their lot.Dennis M.
I was not pleased to learn that additional $50 + was necessary for gas as I left the vehical with nearly the gas I picked it up with, and that I paid $3.00 a gallon when the mini mart gas station was selling gas for $1.78 a gallon.Dolores M.

They had 3 auto transport's if which none of them had been entered back into the system hench I couldn't rent one. Employee didn't know how to do so she had to call someone. Took 40 mins to get the trailer. 2nd time I've rented from here both times had bad experience. Will not rent from here again!David B.
