I requested pick up in Edmonton and on booking was notified a truck was available. The day of pick up I was informed there were not trucks available and would have to drive 1.5 hours to this location to pick up a truck. U-haul did not discount the truck as I had to pay for gas and my own vehicle to make this drive. I was informed I would only not be charged the kilometers for use. Then after dropping off my Uhaul I was charged the additional kilometers and had to call to have this corrected. I had to speak to multiple agents and am still waiting for a call to have this issue resolved.Alyson G.

The manager is a complete and total egotistical, money hungry a&&-+(e. The staff have no idea what they are doing, do not speak english very well and will not slow down for you to try and understand. They are very rude, ignorant and don't exactly care to be u haul operators as they even have a sign saying their hotel is their priority. When i had originally called i was yelled at and hung up on 3 times so i really did not want to use their services what so ever as this is now the 2nd time i have used them, one to return, other for pickup and return. The first time the manager decided a 25 gc would suffice for the way i was treated. This second time he wouldn't do a thing. They also triple charged me. When i called the call center, the 1st woman was quite rude and said the manager would be in touch, the manager here of course. The 2nd lady was an angel, i wish i knew her name but she was very helpful and with her help we realized how over charged i was.Brandy-Lynn E.
The pick up location the man was nice but I am not happy with how the trucks front end was wobbly going down the highway with a shudder when braking. I feel like it was not safe to drive . When I arrived I had to show a picture of a gouge in the tire... I had to drive it to get fixed and wait to load the truck setting us back in time.Wendy H.

The truck was dirty when I picked up. I was charged $25 to leave the dirty truck dirty. So I rent the truck only to clean it or else I will be charged. Unpleasant experience.Bhavarth D.

I waited 25 minutes before getting the u haul key, even I ordered the u haul online. I returned the u Haul an extra hour coz we were running late picking it up. The charged should be deducted from the delays on the waiting time :(Salome C.
The windshield wipers were worn out, and pretty useless. The inside of the windshield was filthy. I had to vacuum the truck out before I would put my stuff in there. Unit was not great for driving across 3 provinces,hauling a trailer behind.Juanita C.

The tires treads on the truck that we were assigned were low. We requested the other truck at this location as the tires were is better condition. Unfortunately, the inside of the cab had left over food, a dirty dinner plate and was not clean. At any time this would not be acceptable but during the Covid-19 pandemic, this is a health risk to your customers. We later discovered that a fuse or relay was broken on the truck. This prevented the auto transport trailer's brake lights not to work. Again this is a big safety concern for us and other drivers on the roads. This also delayed our trip. We had to stay in Wainwright which was not our plan. We did not get on the road until 10:00 AM on Thursday. This added one day of travel and hotel expenses to our move. . There was no windshield washer fluid in the truck! This we found out on Thursday evening at dusk on a highway we had never been on before somewhere in Manitoba. We were terrified of driving off the road or into oncoming traffic. There were bug guts all over the windshield that the wipers just smeared on the windshield. We drove like this for 45 minutes, until we found a safe place to pull of the highway. Luckily we had windshield washer fluid in our car that we were towing.Darren D.

Take away the uhaul dealer from this location, they are putting signs on the door with a code and refusing to do any uhaul work, they make you do it all over your phone and refuse to help, they also have sensitive information from customers that they shouldn't because they aren't actually doing u haul workKristine M.

Twice we've used this location and never will again. Apparently the contract had inaccurate mileage, had to wait two weeks to get deposit back. Husband could not finish using Mobile Drop-Off and lady working there couldn't care less to help him. The manager J was very unhelpful as well both times I've dealt with him personally. A U-Haul Representative named Simon on the phone this afternoon was also extremely rude regarding this matter. I'm so unimpressed and upset with how downhill your customer service has gone! I've been using U-Haul for over 15 years, probably not anymore though because of this.Elise N.

The vehicle was filthy inside! We are actually disgusted by the condition it was in! There was a film of dirt and funk across the windshield that made it very difficult to see at night through, and the condition of the cab of the truck was dirty as well. In the current pandemic situation that we are facing, this is unacceptable and we are very disappointed in the condition of the vehicle.Shannon S.
Don't make them use the online pick up your truck feature . It took us 1 1/2 hrs to get our truck using this option and we were parked right behind it in the lot. Would have been easier and faster to have the U-Haul manager meet us there. Your website was so busy the morning we wanted our truck it took 45 mins to load my info. We were not very happy! My husband has a new slogan for your company, Come for the experience and leave with frustration!!!! Overall though we finally got the truck and got our move done! We were also happy with the service of giving us an available bigger truck than I ordered and the extra miles and day!Malynda K.

I used called the online help for mobile checkin because I did not have the option in my dashboard to pick up truck and could not find the transactions anywhere in my past or pending transactions and the lady on the phone was absolutely fantastic. Walked me thru everything with great patience and expertise. She was a great start to a really long day. Hotel staff was no help at all and made me feel awkward the whole time for using lobby while figuring out my account errors.Andrea H.
Well maybe when proper snow removal so the truck would move wouldn't hurt at all! I was stuck in the parking lot right where the truck was parked , called uhaul was told I could take a 10 foot truck (I rented a 27 foot truck ) maybe get me help ,but no I have to get my wife to go buy sand to put under the wheels / shovel etc never even offered a refund of any kindRichard C.

The owner of the home away inn made this experience the worst I've ever had. He treated me with no respect, I was over charged as he put everything in wrong and when I told him he just said well you agreed to it. Then I got a really suspicious receipt after returning the trailer saying the $60 deposit was refunded in cash. I do not get a refund at that time as I was working and went in later that day to get it. (Uhaul refunded all the extra I was owed and the workers for Uhaul were great but the man I dealt with in the beginning made things horrible)Danielle B.

Booked ahead, were informed the day before pick up that the truck we reserved was not available and that we'd have to drive 2 hours to pick it up, to drive another 2 hours home to load it. Ended up having to borrow a truck for a trailer and use more vehicles for the move. Should have been given free trailer use or some compensation.ken T.

Horrible customer service from the supervisor at check out. The new girl at the front desk was good and did her best to help but when she couldn't figure out why something wasn't working, she asked her supervisor multiple times for help and he literally just stood there and looked at us without saying anything. I asked him why he was not helping her and he stared at me. I asked twice more and he finally said, "I've already taught her how to do this. She should know by now." I had to explain to him that not only would a normal, decent human being help someone asking for help, but that this was ridiculous customer service. Eventually, without any apology he helped the girl. What should have been a 5 minute check out process took 30 minutes because of his attitude and the horrible computer system. I asked him what his designation was and he continued to stare at me. The girl had to tell me that he was her supervisor. I tried calling a couple days later to talk to his superior and I got the same attitude. Completely unacceptableLeanne O.

It was raining. The location of the return spot are muddy and wet. The application sucks, i tried to take a picture and it will not got through. I entered the trailer to see if theres any code i ineed to scan but to no avail. The staff insisting that it is not clean. I explained that i have to enter to check if theres any inside and since the location are so wet and muddy, i made a mark inside. She still charged me $15.no considerstion or whatsoever. I found the agents in the Drayton Valley branch very uneducated and I'll trained to deal with customers and complaints. I was told I made a larger deposit than I did so when I confronted them. They said it is not their problem even though they are the ones who took the payment. I'll never ten from uhaul again in Drayton Valley.Stephen J.

Trailer not officiant for BC roads. Starting up a hill and could not make it, spun out trailer pulled me backwards due to no trailer breaks will not apply. Pick up location had us pay for days we didn't need. Pick up location mixed up our drop off location wrong. We were moving to Seachelt ( which wasn't even the drop off location on the papers , that she screwed up on)but was dropping the trailer at Lillooet location ( was the actual drop off location we wanted). We should at least have 2 days rental returned due to pick up location mistakes.jason Q.

Doing everything on a computer and needing to use a smart phone took a very long time.Perhaps more training is required. Previously I had gone in to rent a truck and after fifteen minutes of answering questions the computer finally said the truck was already reserved. That should have happened instantly. Took 30 min to get rental....hook up to.trailer its a 4pin connecter ( no where does it tell you what connecter is used) our truck was a 7 pin..i go ask if they have an adapter she says to buy..i say no..she gives to me anyway ..guess what lights dont work! Go back in says o ill just give you another trailer ( cause ya know its so convenient to just hook up ..unhook and re hook up in a snowstorm in sept ...then im told i have to buy adapter for 18..no.thanks! This moved proved to be quite stressful, as it took a very long time to receive our truck (pickup location was very slow with the paperwork) and also did NOT have the furniture pads that we pre-ordered more than a week in advance. We had to scramble to find blankets to protect our expensive furniture, going out of our way in time and cost to find a solution to mitigate the damage to our possessions. If uhaul cannot guarantee the items on an online reservation that information should be boldly displayed in a timely manner. To show up on moving day and not get what you reserved is a huge hassle and disappointment. We were not impressed.Matt N.
