I only drove 30 miles, put 2 gallons of gas in and was still charged $15 for 3 more gallons. I do not appreciate getting ripped off for no reason. Other than this unnecessary nickel and dime charge, the experience was okay. But they ruined it.
EILEEN PYour app does not work well. I rent every month and constantly have issues with mobile pick up. About 1/3 of the time, I have to go into the office for assistance. Also, why can't driver's license info be saved in your system? On the mobile app, it allows me to put in the other driver's phone number. In the office, the other driver must be present. If given a weeks' notice, why can't the specific truck I need at the closest location be moved from another location instead of me having to the alternate location.
DAVID MMade a reservation on Friday for a 15’ truck, pick up at 8AM Saturday. I show up Saturday 8AM and nobody is on location. I call the number and speak to an answering service who states they will page someone urgently for me. I did this 4 times before somebody showed up at 9:05. The gentleman who showed up told me they don’t open until 9 and told me I should have used the app to check in. Nobody instructed me to use the app at any point during this transaction, not that it mattered because the woman who took my reservation on Friday promised me a 10’ truck and when I showed up Saturday I was told she should not have promised me that truck because it’s not available. I told them on Friday I needed a 10’ truck due to clearance issues, they took that reservation but they did not honor it. This entire transaction was a nightmare, the customer service was horrendous and I will not do business with this company again.

WALTER EThere is supposed to be early or after hour pick up and it does not work. Not only did we have to wait til 9 am when we reserved for 430am (actually needed by 8am) but another person was waiting since 7am. That is not convenient. Dont offer it if you dont support it.
LEAM CI reserved a cargo van online. Pick up was quick and easy. The van was ready when I got there. Drop off was also very quick and easy.
KRISSONDRA ELocation was very accommodating and easy to work with. Great experience.
Jim WOne tire was totally worn out and they did not check it prior to letting me take it so I had to wait 2 hours for roadside assistance to swap it. Not cool!
DAVID OThe Customer Service rep that helped me in Carmel was very nice and helped me fix issues that occurred from the White Plains office. The White Plains office personnel were awful! (One Virginia Road White Plains.) Instead of trying to help fix a bungled action caused by U-Haul. They gave me an 800 number to fix myself. Imagine showing up for a rental to move kids into college and your rentals not there and they tell you to fix it!! My blood was boiling.

ERIN RThe truck was perfectly sized for the move we did. The truck engine was powerful enough to climb the highs and lows of the streets. However, I didn’t get far from the rental location before the low fuel warning light went on. Having a tight schedule made it tough to find a gas station to refuel and get back on the path. The previous renter spilled a large amount of potato chips throughout the truck cabin and the truck was not cleaned before we rented it. But as I said, the truck was perfect for the task at hand

Joseph KTruck smelled love cigar smoke. I returned it clean and with more fuel than I got it with andwas charged a $25 dollar cleaning fee.
Nicholas BThe location is nice and close to me and the transaction went well. Unfortunately, we picked up a cargo van and it was dirty abd had items left over in it that i had to remove. The van had a really bad odor in it and we had to air it out and spray air freshener in it. The seats also had what appeared to be dog hair and the van was also dirty. I will not use this location again.

Edward SIt's not the location, it's the app that needs work. It takes too long and too many steps to complete a reservation, especially when I rent at least once per month.
DAVID KJessie was super awesome in getting me going. Adelia jumped in quickly to assist Jessie with sweeping out some a small amount of sand debris near back end of truck. Don cleared up a misunderstanding I had for return time, treating me with rrespect and just kindly clarifying. It looks like you have built an amazing team, and I will not hesitate to use you again. Andrew PTruck was not checked in when I picked it up, waited 10 minutes and they told me it was ready. I doubt it was checked. After loading I noticed a gash I n tire. Tire was flat lost 2 hrs waiting for repair..truck was shifting between 3000 and 4000 rpms. Had to ay with gas to get it to shift.very stressful experience

Also, there was a message on the odometer screen saying that there is some safety issues. I would’ve liked to have a more definitive answer. Angela PQuick and Easy pick up. Dropping off was a challenge due to app not functioning properly. Also: the attached keyed lock was damaged and unusable.
brian cCould not contact office morning of pick up. They forgot to take their phone off of forwarding to answering service. Office may not open on time if schools have snow day or delay. Person who hooked up trailer was not familiar with equipment. Just very uncooperative location.
Raymond RTruck had a low tire. Truck had over 100,000 miles (scary) Truck had many sensor issues lighted on dashboard. But, made it. All good!
Barry GTrucks are not maintained well. Rented a truck, low tire air light was on. Was told it was the sensor and U-Haul mechanic was going to come out next day but vehicle was safe to drive. Rented the same truck a week later and was not fixed. Service driver side airbag warning was also on. Driver door had to be slammed shut hard to close properly. Driver's seat very hard to move forward/back. Staff at counter are very nice and quick to help.

ALEKSANDER ZHorrible experience. The staff yelled and CURSED at my father because he couldnt back up the trailer into a spot. They said he HAS to and that its required and his responsibility. My father reread the paperwork we signed and it didnt say that anywhere. As long as we drop it off at the right store then its fine. How unprofessional for staff members to CURSE AND SCREAM at a man for being unable to back something up that isnt a responsibility. I will not be leaving good reviews and I will warn anybody I can to not ever use this uhaul or maybe any uhauls again. I cant believe i paid $900 for this horrible experience. Disgusting behavior.
JESS TMy experience with Uhaul NOT Honey Do Men is one of the worst customer service experience in my life. Beginning with my reservation being “bumped”, being sent 30 minutes out the way for a replacement reservation to be told to “wait 3 hours until equipment is being returned” turned to “we cancelled your reservation because you should have been here at 7am”. Getting a reservation at my original location. My help for moving had to get to work by 12:00. Now it’s my Daughter and I. Happy to get a uhaul finally because I have to move, I pay for a furniture dolly. I get home and open the truck, NO dolly. I immediately go back to uhaul and they are closed, they only open for two hours on Saturday. My daughter and I destroyed our backs moving furniture. Trying to get a refund for a furniture dolly I paid for and never got is a whole other adventure. Phone calls and going in person, a week later and I’m still charged for the furniture dollly. Trying to figure out billing meanwhile I can’t be found in the system. Did I mention the lady could not print out my contract, it came out blank? The ladies at Honey Do Men are all helpful and courteous. I went back in yesterday and they made phone calls on my behalf, they printed me a contract, they apologized and they listened. Unfortunately they cannot provide refunds for Uhaul.

John MThere was broken glass in the truck that I picked up which was probably from the prior driver/client. I have young kids so I quickly had to ensure all the glass was swept appropriately for their safety, and mine as well. I think doing a better job checking the trucks after the return is warranted.

JASON SThe location’s service was excellent. However, the uhaul 1-800 customer service was absolutely incredible. I was overcharged, called the 1-800 number and the service representative submitted the request to a manager who within 24 hrs refunded me my money. Thank you!
