Place I was to pick up truck did not have it available. Was sent to another location a few miles away. This pick up location, a gas station that also lottery tickets ðŸŽ« not had one (1) person handling everything he was very busy and so it took a long time to fill out the contract we had to fill out. Handling the gas/ticket sales was definitely his priority!! The 10' truck was at the other site and it was full of gas but the windows were NOT clean inside or out. It took 30 minutes to check the truck out and 30 minutes to check it back in. The store was late opening that morning. I had to wait while the clerks waited on other customers even though I was there first. There was no seat belt for the passenger. I had ordered two furniture dollies but they weren't on the truck but I was charged for them. I was going to rent another Uhaul this weekend to finish up my move but I think I will go elsewhere.Keeley R.

The van was not there when I arrived. I wait slkostb20 minutes because another person had it. The miles on the site were different than the odometer when I picked the van up. I informed the clerk on return and sent a photo via the website yet my final bill still had the incorrect mileage and I was billed for it. It has not been corrected.Loretta B.

One person working gas station and rentals took forever to check out trailer! First location we were supposed to pick up at was completely unmanned and so our rental was over an hour later due to changing location worst uhaul experience ever!!STEVEN L.

I rented a 6x12 trailer from a location in Grovetown Ga, when I went pick it up they didn't have it, the lady said it was at another rental place near by but it had already closed for the day. She asked if anybody called me to tell me it would be at another location, which no one called to tell me but if she knew it was going to be at another location she should have called me. I did get another trailer at a different location but it was at a convenience store with one employee, I stood in line for 45 minutes to get the trailer, the young man was very nice but still I was 2 1/2 hours late leaving Because people didn't do what they should have done like calling to let me know about a different location I probably will never rent from U Haul again.bowder W.
I was waiting for a long time before receiving uhaul when I did everything online prior to pick up. He kept assisting incoming customers while I had been there waiting on him for almost 20 minutes. They charged my card for 50 miles which I stated online and in person that I would only use 20 which I really only used 12. It was just horrible and honestly I don't think that is something I will ever be doing again .LADIAMOND B.
This is a shell gas station. I waited in line to be helped and when it was my turn the cashier told me I had to wait for all the other customers to leave the store. I was like â€œok, I kinda waited in line like the rest of them and now it's my turnâ€ seriously it's a busy gas station there is never a customer free environment. Then he asked if I had a picture of the dash board for the gas and mileage. I explained to him that I didn't and that I would feel more comfortable if he went and checked it with me. We then go back to the store and continue the process......then I was asked about the blankets I rented. I explained that they were folded in the back of the truck. He told me that I had to bring all the blankets inside so that he could verify they were all there: I asked why he didn't check that while we were at the truck and he explained â€œ I don't get paid enough to check themâ€ then he walked back toward the store and told me to carry the blankets with no offer to help.....so I left the blankets in the truck (I couldn't find anywhere in the terms that I needed to bring the blankets inside the return area) Finally he said my total owed was an extra $14. I was ok with this because I know I went over the allotted mileage. But when I got the receipt it said he charged me for gas. I literally had just filled the truck up (remember we're at a gas station) I asked why I was charged extra for gas and he stated it was below the 3/4 tank. I told him to go check again. We did and it was well above the required amount. Then I asked for a refund of the extra gas charge. He told me ok but if he refunds it he's going to charge me a fee for cleanliness since I left the blankets in the back. Really? At this point I was pretty upset and made it very clear to the cashier I thought he was an idiot who didn't deserve any extra pay than what he got. I asked him to get his manager on the phone to address my concerns and to get my refund. He told me he was the manager. This is when his co worker stepped in and told me neither of them were managers but that she would be happy to figure out how to get me a refund. THIS IS THE WORST ESTABLISHMENT I HAVE WVWR ENTERED AMD WILL NEVER GO BACK. I hope that guy behind the counter ( white guy with 2 ear piercings on each ear) gets fired. He doesn't deserve to work in a customer service job seeing as he has no people skills.JORDAN C.
Maybe offer mobile pick up to speed up the process. I spend 45 in the store waiting to complete the process. Not to mention the guy was not very pleasant or friendly. It was an ok experience but not anything above that.Darryl L.

The truck I received smelled of cigarettes and was dirty with undocumented damages. I went to return the truck and received an attitude from the store clerk to include her locking the door in my face throwing her hand in the air and proceeding to have an attitude as I attempted to simply hand her the keys to the truck nearly 15 minutes earlier than I was required to have the truck returned. All of this was my experience after arriving to my original reservation location and waiting for nearly 30 minutes to get a representative on the phone to be told that my reservation had to be changed to a new location because that location did not have a truck available for me to pick up. I'm not sure why my reservation drop-off location changed to this one, but I wasn't able to change it back in the app without extra fees. This location was fine, just further from my house. Again, not a big deal, just a minor inconvenience. Returning the truck through the app was very smooth, and the owner of the location was very helpful and finished the return and got me a receipt.Kerry I.

I submitted all my information online to include front/back image of driver's license; however, when i went to pickup the trailer i was asked to provide names and phone for two other people, which makes no sense. Why is this information needed and why was it not part of the online application if required. Felt very uncomfortable providing this information.Hamilton M.

Lady just threw the furniture pads on the floor of the store. Offered help after I complained. Had to walk them to my personal vehicle and drive them to the truck. She didn't know the system very well and when I returned the truck she was upset cause I didn't bring the pads and appliance dolly in the store. That should not be my job. The rep should come out the truck verify the condition of the vehicle. Verify the equipment and complete transaction. Poor business model. Why run this location out of a busy store with only one cashier to help customers. Poor poor service.Dustin B.

The employee who I spoke with at pickup was nice but I didn't realize it was in a gas station I thought i was actually picking it up from the Uhaul place on Wrightsboro Road where I made the reservation . The truck smelled like smoke, very uncomfortable for 3 people . I was charged over $1,300 for a truck and trailer for 4 day use and when asked would receive a refund since it was less than 6 days I was informed that I would not.veronica S.

The clerk at the counter was not knowledgeable enough about the Uhaul business encounters. She had to call the manager several times by phone causing delays in the checkout process. Uhaul online and drop off locations need to communicate better. Information in the system is not updated often enough to get credible and reliable information.April B.

Have earlier times available for same day pick up online, also do not cause someone to have to go through hoops to rent a u-Haul because of someone else's accusations.... I spent over 4 hours trying to get a u-haul, and it was not worth the struggle. Will never use u-haul again. And will tell all my friends/family about my horrible experience with u-haul.BRITTANY S.

Not sure how tests are conducted for trailers but usually new cars don't need a new fuse for trailer lights. If the lights don't work, then my first thought would be to test the trailer, not the vehicle. Some sort of standardized testing would alleviate that use.Sam W.

There were 2 trailers at a gas station. The attendant came out to hook up the uhaul with a cigarette hanging from his mouth. The trailer had not been washed off before we got it. The attendant was pretty nice, but I have definitely been to better uhaul locations.TODD S.

I chose to pick up the trailer at 6:00am. When I checked out, the information showed the same. I checked the map and it also showed the location opens at 6:00am. I arrived at 6:00am, the location was open. I entered at 6:07 telling the lady that I came to pick up the uhaul. She told me that: â€œthe uhaul is not open until 7:00am.â€ I told her that the website told me that this place is open at 6AM. She pointed to the next cashier and said the guy doing uhaul was not coming yet. And she did not let me pick up the trailer. I had to walk out and waited outside for one hour. I came back at 7:00am, and it was the same lady who did the checkout for me. I asked he why she did not let me take the rental before. She said nothing, not even an apology. I had to got up a lot earlier to pick up the rental on time. I wasted for an hour, waiting in my car with frustration. Because I was not allowed to pick up the trailer on time; I had to hire a person to help me to load my stuffs to not be panelized by the owner for late moving out. Therefore, I request for compensations for the losts I had due to your refuse of picking up my rental at the time contracted. Thank youhoan D.

I was overcharged when I returned the rental truck. The location charged me for a dolly and furniture pads. I didn't request them or ever see them or use them. This was brought to the cashier's attention and was told this the amount due. I paid the total amount and called the 800 number for a refund of imaginary dolly and pads.Tom E.

This is a gas station. Let's start there. It is a crummy and dirty gas station. The employee assisting me was very unprofesssional in appearance and language skills. She seemed to not have the critical thinking, training nor knowledge to figure out how to cancel just the trailer portion of my order without losing data previously supplied at time reservation was made. Took an hour to get out of there despite having a reservation. She was confused often. She mumbled multiple times that she was about to get off work or that she had to go or that her shift was almost over.Brittany W.

I made a reservation for a truck on Friday to pick up Saturday morning at 9 AM in Grovetown Georgia. I was sent to three different places before I finally got a truck I was sent to Frank Wilsonâ€˜s in Grovetown Georgia auto repair 4150 top 5 Wheeler Rd., and then finally to the hop and go. I had help lined up to help to assist me in moving at 9:30 AM it was after 12 before I finally got a truck to start moving it was a huge hassle from beginning to the end. Where I pick the truck up finally was a convenience store with one person working the counter dealing with customers, And then switching back to deal with U-Haul customers it was extremely frustrating I don't know if I would risk using U-Haul again because of this experience . Also all I needed was a small 10 foot truck , But there was none available at the hop and go so I had to paying $20 more because of UHauls mistakes. ?? Poor Business.Philip B.
You have a gas station attendant running your rental. She could care less about customer service. I went on line and reserved a truck and an appliance dolly. When I got there she informed me they didnt have the dolly. She just said they might have one up the street, So I had to drive across town to another location to rent the dolly. We had limited time and wasted an hour of our time and adding to the mileage and fuel which we were charged for.James V.
