VIRGINIA SThe truck we rented was ready and the customer service at checkout was superb. She told us where to leave the truck if we came back after she'd left and where to put the key. She checked out the truck the next day and adjusted my receipt for the additional miles above what I'd initially estimated, which I was expecting. One thing to note: the truck did not have a ramp on it. We were able to work around it ok, but we were expecting it to have a ramp, to avoid having to lift furniture up to the truck bed instead of rolling it up. All in all, it wasn't a huge hardship, but it would have been nice to have the ramp or be told the truck wouldn't have a ramp since your website does advertise that trucks all come with a working ramp.

RICHARD AI was waiting in the office while the attendant was taking care of another customer. A young lady who works there pulled up in a truck and came in and told me that only one person was allowed in the office at a time so I stepped outside. I gave her my information and mentioned that I had a 9am appointment and her comment was “we can only wait on one person at a time” which I responded that I understood. I then mentioned that Mike had explained to me when I booked the appointment that I should be on time cause the trucks would be given to someone else. The young lady’s comment was “we wouldn’t do that” She said that I could go into the office and get my receipt. Which I responded “ so it’s ok now” I shouldn’t have said what I said but by this time I was a little upset by her attitude towards me. I walked in the office and Mike said I should stand in the corner and stay quiet. He stated that the young lady had worked for him for a long time and he didn’t want to hear what I had to say. I don’t know what I did to piss everyone off that day other than saying that I had a 9am appointment. Poor, poor customer service. Telling a customer that he should SHUT UP and stand in the corner is UNACCEPTABLE.

Charles MI was not aware that I had a mileage allowance and would be charged $1 per mile (93 miles over) when I booked this truck.

JEFFREY WThis truck had a terrible steering wheel shake anytime we were between 45-50 mph. Steering wheel shook the entire truck so bad it spilled coffee while in the cup holder. Once above 52-55 mph it settled down and was manageable but never smooth. This shake wasn't occasional; it happened every time at 45-50 mph. The truck was clean and otherwise in good shape.

SUSAN AHave it in full working order. The a/c barely put out enough air to feel it coming out of the vents. Additionally the radio did not turn on and the cab had not been cleaned (drink and food spilled on the console and floorboard). Compared to the box truck I rented from Home Depot this was way older and poorer, so I’m not sure why there isn’t a larger price differential. I would like to be considered for a partial refund.

Jesse LA brief orientation to the truck would be nice. I had to seek out the gas tank. I was not aware if the truck had cruise and other useful items.
RANDY FI received the truck with 21 miles till empty on gas. I returned it with more gas than I received it yet still got charged extra for gas. This isn't acceptable.

MEECHA JOn my reservation that I did online, I declined the SafeRide coverage (it was just a local move of a few items). But when the manager at the shop confirmed everything before payment, he added that coverage back on without my knowledge. I noticed this when returning the truck that evening. I disputed this with UHaul to no avail. It was only $15, but I had already declined it and shouldn't have to pay for it.
Scott MNeed to update driver wiper blade. Recommend offering a seat cushion for transit vans! The staff was excellent and went over several options to insure I had the right equipment for my task. Very pleasant experience.
CHRISTOPHER AThe original reservation was a one way from Harrisonburg, Va to N. Chesterfield. We could not confirm a truck at the Harrisonburg location, so we called in and asked to pick it up in Charlottesville. We were told "verbally" on the phone that we would have extra miles added to the rental to get from Charlottesville to Harrisonburg our original starting point. When we checked the truck in on Saturday afternoon through the app we were charged $61.61 for extra miles which makes a total "great experience" into a FAIL. No one likes to be lied to on the phone. The charge still shows "pending status",.. so I hope someone is honest enough to do the right thing and cancel it. We turned the truck in the same day we rented it. so I am sure we opened up that truck to another rental sooner than it would have been under normal circumstances. Please email when you decide how this will be handled. Thanks,

ALISON CI would suggesting having a walk around the truck with the attendant prior to leaving. The amount of time it takes to upload and look at previous damage and making sure your not missing anything cuts into your rental time.
