The truck was very old, not responsive to acceleration, shocks & struts in poor condition. Even though I rented for local use (10-20 miles total), I was afraid that it would leave me stranded. Upon returning the rental truck, I no one was in the office even though I returned 2 hours prior to the office closing. I called the number several times, no one answered. I was told by one of the storage facility employees to park the truck in the same spot and put the keys in the drop off box, which I did. I called U-HAUL customer service immediately to notify them of the situation. I didn't receive and email from them until the next day. Poor customer service! Even worse, poor communication!
