There was only one employee. He had to leave me multiple times to run a different register/help store customers. I was not advised by Uhaul in advance that I would be loading trailer by myself. I am a disabled veteran and had difficulties doing so.Ronald L.

Blankets were not folded when I received yet I was charged 1$ each to fold plus tax when returned. Does not state anywhere on contract. Also I had to physically move other trailers to get to the 1 I was allowed to take. Upon inspection, lugs were loose and no 4 way was available to tighten (had to use a pipe wrench to tighten) and limp 25 miles to a Wal mart to have torqued to be able to drive safely from South Carolina to Florida.KEVIN S.

The people processing the paperwork for the Uhaul rental should focus on Learning customer service. I was the first customer of the day. The door was unlocked for me. I was the being checked out by the clerk and owe wait, let me help the other customers in the other line. Mean while, it took 30 minute to check me out when I originally scheduled a remote pick up for 8:00. Uhaul messes up, and the Hutto Food Mart employees should undergo customer service training. Uhaul should not offer trucks and equipment at locations that do not have the equipment to be rented. I originally rented a truck at a different location closer to where we were moving. Two days before the move, Uhaul corporate called to say they didn't have a truck at that location for me. I had to reschedule and rearrange my plans with my movers and had to go out of my way for Uhaul's mistake. They added mileage to cover it but messed up the Mobil remote pick up and put me behind schedule. Your messing with the customers plans and time. There is a lot Uhaul needs to work on as a franchise. I'm disappointed in this rental experience all around.John P.

Truck was dirty, had melted chocolate or something all on passenger side dash, floor were dirty with what looked like dry mud, it had a bad odor in the truck. The lady doing the reservation did not listen, charged me for smart ride when I told her no I didn't want it. I was on speakerphone with a uhaul agent who told the lady in the store to extend my rental until Monday at no charge, she did not listen and charged me for the extra day. It has been a nightmare trying to fix all the mistakes made and now I have to wait to get refunded what should never have been charged. I would NEVER recommend that location.Sandra G.

With a reservation, we still had to wait 90 minutes before we were able to leave the location due to technical issues. I was late on retrieving the items I need to carry in your equipment incurring extra cost for the delay. With that being said, I deserve and am requesting a partial, if not full refund for the inconvenience.Theresa P.

When I arrived at the location to get the trailer during my vacation, there were many things I didn't like. First off, they said that they didn't open til 1:30. It's was a gas station and I'm sure they were open way earlier that day. When I arrived, they had no internet so they had to use a hot spot to get the internet to work which was a slow process. It took about 30 minutes to pickup the trailer where it should have only been 5 minutes max. Wasn't very pleased to spend my vacation waiting that long to get a trailerJonathan R.

We started the process around 1230. Did not leave with the tow dolly until around 4. The owner of this business has one employee working, with only a minimal amount of knowledge of the rental system. This young lady was phenomenal. The store was packed at times. She took care of customers without showing ANY frustration. I commend Ms Benita for showing ALL customers respect and kindness. That was the best part of our experience.James D.

The majority of my experience was okay. I was told the local place would have my uhaul ready for a 5pm pick up. Called the location, called uhaul customer service to confirm and was advised everything was set up for 5. Around 4 o clock I get a call saying that wasnt the case and infact the closest place who had my equipment was another 35 miles up the road. So round trip cost me 70$ extra in mileage, at no fault of my own. The people at the new location were nice. But I after about 500 dollars for just 4 days, I dont believe I will be using Uhaul again.Steven C.
1. We were given one original uhaul location, that was only 5 mins from our previous address, during the original order. The day before pickup I was called and informed that I had to pick up the truck from a location that was 45 min (one way) away from our previous address. 2. When we got there, the young lady, while very friendly, had never completed a uhaul transaction before (which she stated to us several times) and didn't want to call for help. Instead she wanted to â€œteach herselfâ€ how to complete it. It took around 40 min for her to ring us up, print the paperwork, and allow us to leave with the truck. 5. After reviewing our documents, my email contract and the contract that the pickup site gave me had two different locations. I called both facilities over the course of the next two days, and unfortunately I was unable to get a rep on the phone at either location.Antoinette P.
Based on my experience, I am sure that nobody is going to read this or address it in any way, here is my story. I wasted 11 days of phone calls until I sent this email to the CEO, who immediately got this taken care of. After he got it taken care of I received an invoice for double the amount quoted and he again said he will take care of it, which I am sure he will. My letter to him: I write this because I have hit 22 dead ends, wasted far too much time, and have no other place to turn. Unfortunately my sister died suddenly and I needed to have her cremated and move her personal belongings out of her apartment on Monday, July 9, 2018. I rented a trailer from your Peachtree City GA location on that date with the intent of driving to my parent's home in SC and dropping the trailer back to Peachtree City a week later after her funeral. I was obviously not thinking properly and did not think to drop it off in SC. So when I figured that out later on Monday, I called my rental store to find out how to change that destination. Nobody answered. I left a message. No return call. I tried again every day until Thursday when I finally got someone to answer my call. They said I could return it to another store and there may be additional charges charged by the receiving store. So Friday, July 13, I tried to return it to Santee, SC but they were closed before 4 pm even though they were supposed to be open until 4:30 pm. The sign on the store said they would open Saturday at 9:00 a.m. so we returned then. We waited for 15 minutes and nobody showed up. So then we drove 15 minutes to another U-Haul location in Holly Hill, SC and returned the trailer there. The clerk, Benita, indicated there would be no additional charge for drop off and there will actually be a credit for dropping it off 2 days early. I asked for the receipt but unfortunately that location does not own a computer, much to my amazement. She did hand write and sign some form of a receipt with the trailer number I dropped off. I took photographs in front of the store so there was at least documentation that I dropped it off since they do not own a computer and could not provide me any documentation. I immediately called customer service to verify that was legitimate and they indicated yes and I would get a close out email confirmation of the transaction when they â€œcheck the trailer inâ€. Well, as I write this email 5 days later, the trailer has still not been checked in. Since then, I have called and spoken to 19 different people from customer service agents, to district and regional managers, the drop off store manager, the pick up store manager, equipment location specialist, and others. Nobody, and I truly mean nobody, knows anything about anything. The few helpful people who indicated that they will research this issue and call me back have never called me back. I wrote 3 emails to your customer service/reviews documenting these issues to try to close out my contract, but nomitchell B.

Inside of truck full of sand. I swept the inside of truck and cleaned upholstery, seats, steering wheel. Febreeze is not cleaning a truck. Pads were not ready and waiting in truck. This place had no one working there who knew how to run the uhaul machine. We waited there 1 hour and 30 minutes just for the person to call someone else on the phone to walk them through it. He over charged us on the trailer and we agreed to come back the next day to get our money back that we were overcharged and they didn't give it back to us. This was not a good experience at all compare to other Uhaul rentals. First of all the equipment was not at the location when I arrived and the rep did not think to give me a call to let me know. So I was there an hour later than my expected pick up time. Next, when I made the reservation I declined the tow protection. When I receive my bill extra $8 charge is on there. The rep at this location went in and added the coverage. I truly hope I NEVER have to use this place again!Robert E.

I was charged 2 rental fees. I was told the truck was mine for 24 hours and 39.99. I just checked my statement and I was charged 79.98 and wasn't given the credit for the extra miles needed to pick up the truck. Otherwise, it was ok.Kevin B.

The cashier was running the store alone and told us that her internet was down and could not rent the equipment to us. She later told us the manager was on his way and would arrive in 30 minutes. 30 minutes later, she said he would be there in 20 minutes. 20 minutes later, she said 10-15, and he arrived in 30. One problem was that the individuals running the store were hard to understand. The young gentleman that finally came was very good. I have always used Uhaul for all of my moving needs until today... I will never use Uhaul again or recommend it to anyone. I would rather pay Penske little extra and not deal with the headache. Store operator was "lost" and could not complete the transaction. He blamed it on his poor internet service. However; The lady I spoke to at the uhaul 800 service was quite helpful and my experience dealing with her was outstanding. The cab of the truck was full of dirt and sunflower seeds. The back had not been swept and the area over the cab had dirt and some children's cards up there. I cleaned all this prior to turning the truck in in Malabar.George K.
Have already email a survey from the web. The worst experience I have had - took 1 hour and 45 minutes for the attendant at the Food Mart to get the credit card and other info. approved also could not understand a word he said. Had numerous customers in line waiting to pay for gas and other items while this one attendant helped everyone. I called Craig the regional manager and he could have cared less of my concerns. I would not recommend this pick up or delivery to any one. IT WAS SOOOO BAD AND NOT ONE OF YOUR EMPLOYEES / STAFF MEMBERS I CALLED REALLY CARED. I HAVE THE TIME I BEGAN CALLING TO COMPLAIN AND THE TIME I PLACED THE LAST CALL. CALLED YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE TWICE AND AS I SPOKE WITH TWO DIFFERENT CSR I WAS CUT OFF. PLEASE ENSURE A SUPERVISOR GETS THIS INFORMATION B/C I AM GOING TO PURSUE THIS CONCERN ON MONDAY FOLLOWED UP WITH A LETTER. When I picked up my Uhaul truck the gas meter showed a quarter of a tank,, I took pictures of the meter and other damages before leaving the lot. When I returned the truck i filled it up to the exact amount as I took it, the staff at Hutto Mart ,Mr Patel was very busy in the store with customers so he never got a chance to go outside and check the meter, I told him I had it filled up to a quarter of a tank and exact as I took the truck . I was later receiving a phone call from Mr Patel stating I left the truck with less of gas and he claimed it was supposed to be half a tank! Luckily I had a photo of the actual gas meter and the milage to prove that I was correct. I also was never able to get a receipt on my transactions as The Hutto Mart Internet went down. The Hutto mart was very busy and Mr Patel had me waiting in my opinion to long. Overall Mr Patel was very courteous and nice, I showed him my pic on my iPhone and I was happy to be able to prove the truck was not having half a tank when I initially rented the Uhaul. This location pickup is very sketchy - off a dirt road at a gas station. The gas station had pornography for sale on shelves and wasn't very clean. Did not find it as a welcoming store for U-haul customers.Frank B.
They sell Porn, Marijuana and Crack supplies!! Do not Speak English well and do not know what they are doing with the Uhaul Computer System, Drove 25 miles to get this truck. Will never use Uhaul again ~ ever!!!!! The phone was busy for hours because they use cell phones for a Business Phone and then when the # ' s did ring they did not answer ~ again for hours on end!!!!!! Took 45 minutes to complete paperwork and leave this "store" while 3 movers at $15.00 an hour were kept waiting!!!! I went to a location convenient to my home and reserved the truck they had on-site 5 days prior to needing it. I was assured that the truck would be there at the requested time. I was called 2 1/2 HOURS prior to pickup and told there was no truck available and "sorry for the inconvenience." No one offered to help find another truck or tell me what I could do to find one. I had movers scheduled at both ends of the move. I felt that this was extremely unprofessional and discourteous. U-Haul's business is logistics - if I rent a truck 5 days ahead of time, it should be available or I should have had 48 hours notice that another location would have the truck for me. If I had changed or cancelled my reservation within 24 hours of pick-up, I would have been charged $50. I think the courtesy of giving me 48 hours notice of alternate arrangements should have been extended. We ended up having to pick the truck up in another town; the people were nice and the truck was clean. However, I have a serious issue with U-Haul's policies, and I don't think that I would trust using them again in the future.ELIZABETH I.
i would not recommend this as a return or pick-up sight . it took over 45 minutes waiting on service they were not busy took 25 minutes to get someone to take my paper work and check the truck.total check-out time over 1 hour, very disatisfied with their service. i may need to rent agin within the next week but i will not return it to this sight even if i have to pay for more mileage. they are not good reps for u-haul.donald C.
