Have the equipment as promised. We had to drive almost 2 hours and to two different locations. Gas was empty when receiving truck! Very frustrating.

Office staff was sleeping on the couch with shoes off when I came in. I gave them the keys and asked for check out. They asked me to move the truck but I refused. The staff member then moved the truck hitting another vehicle in the process. I was told that the person who needed to finalize the order wasn't in the office and was across the street. He then contacted that person by phone and they finalized rental. I told them I wasn't going to leave until they processed it and absolved me of all damage that occurred due to the negligent employee. I would give this zero Stars if I could.

I returned my equipment on time before 4 pm that day and the person at the uhaul store put it that I returned it the next morning so they double charged me and charged me a $25 cleaning fee when it wasn’t even dirty. That place is shady they have an old man there that as to go get the worker from a nearby restaurant to do the work so when I returned it he was the only one there and he said we will take care of it and I got scammed.

I arrived at my end location in 43501 Monroe St in Indio, CA on 8/13 to turn in the trailer to a dealer. There was one guy there (Able) who I thought would check me in for the return. He could not do so, because he said the owner was out to lunch a would return shortly. I’m suppose to get a $40 credit upon the return of the trailer. Three hours later I still had not received an email showing that I had returned the trailer nor my $40 credit. So, I went back to this Monroe St location to find out why. The same man, Able, said the owner was out, still at lunch, and now he claimed that he had computer problems ( which I thought was a lie). So, I called U-Haul’s main number while I was at this location and spoke with a nice woman that had put into my record that I had returned the trailer, but the local dealership had to close out the ticket and return my $40 credit. Here it is now Saturday and I still haven’t received any notification (email) of the trailer return or my $40 credit. What is going on with UHaul!!!!!! The location of the Indio, CA UHaul dealer is at Oleander and Monroe street. This place is a dump and extremely unprofessional!!! This is NO WAY to run a business especially for U Haul!!! This place lacks any professionalism and is extremely very poorly run!!!!! Not helpful at all!!! I’m am very disappointed with the lack of business professionalism that U-Haul has given to the manager/dealer of this business!!!

the experience in general with u-haul was to say the least dreadful,not knowing where the equipment was, it took five and one half hours to get both pieces of equipment.

With the drop off in Indio, it was in a very sketchy place and the office/drop box was hard to locate. The guy who worked there also has us carry all the dolly’s and blankets into the office for him? Never had that happen before.

The owner of this location was nothing but exceptional! Prior to this event, the online experience and the fact that my prior reservation was not kept and not others trailers were available less than 1m5 hours away, I was extremely disappointed and out extra nights costs because of this occurrence.

The location I went to had me wait an hour on top of my reservation time because the manager was out for lunch. Originally the maintenance man said half an hour, but it took more than an hour on top of that. The manager gave me the wrong keys for the U-Haul and did not provide the dolly when I paid for it. Now they’re trying to charge me more for mileage when I only went less than 10 miles. Would never get a U-Haul again.

I only drove for 15 miles, I filled the tank with 1.6 gallons of gas, and still was charged for the gas at the end. Please explain.

I reserved the trailer from the Cook Street Store. You switched the pickup store to an Indio store. The Indio Store that I've used before is closed, and now is run out of the back of a Taco store near the freeway. Everyone was very helpful and friendly but if you don't have the equipment at the requested pickup location say so. Don't take the reservation and then switch the location.

You moved my pick up location to a second location when I arrive. They were incredibly rude and informed me that they don’t know why you sent me there, but they did not have access to my trailer because they were parked in the back and they were blocked then you sent me to a third location. It was unbelievable. It was a Mexican restaurant Homeless people everywhere only one trailer or U-Haul on the entire property. The people were very nice, but it was scary place to go to and I would not send anyone there in the future.

This was the worst location I have ever picked up a truck. The place was strewn with homeless people outside on the property, the inside was disgusting, the parking lot was riddled with pottholes holes. They also charged a cleaning fee which is ridiculous as I brought the truck immaculately. I

The Father and daughter(?) we’re lovely , showed up on time and was good to deal with. The location was easy to get to but the building is very old and very dirty. Our Uhaul truck was filthy… was shocking to see that we were just to get in it and drive away. The fellow tried to help and wipe it down but the cloth was just as dirty. We went and got cleaning supplies and cleaned the inside before starting on our journey. The truck ran well and we made it to our destination.

The site manager erred in stating the begining mileage on my unit resulting in a $21 overcharge. The actual beginning mileage which I recorded prior to moving the truck was 545 and the final mileage was 558 for a total of 13 miles used. The operator incorrectly stated the beginning mileage as 524 resulting in a 21 mile overcharge. I spoke with the site manager yesterday: he apologized, blamed the error on his poor eyesight, and said he would correct the issue today. I have not seen the refund on my card as of this writting.

Make sure there is a representative there. We had to wait for 30 min to come to the location to help us. It was during regular hours. Then he wanted to charge us for 4 used boxes for $10.

The office is absolutely horrible and dirty. I was charged extra for gas even though I brought it back with more gas than when I received it. Told him the truck was dirty when I picked it up inside the cabin and in the back when I picked it up and still was charged a cleaning fee. Will not be going to this location ever again. I should have known better when I saw the state of the office. Much rather go to the Indio location off of Highway 111 and golf center. At least their office is clean, efficient and I know I won’t be ripped off!

El equipo estaba en muy mal estado, sobre todo sucio, muy ruidosa falta de lubricacion, mi camioneta es nueva y podria afectar arrastrar algo oxidado. La razon por que la acepte es porque lo necesitaba. Podrian dar un mantenimientoal equipo y talvez regrese.

Calling this a Uhaul 'Location' is a joke.. more a restaurant that happens to have a desk to do Uhaul transactions with. When I arrived with my truck/trailer (with car still on trailer), I asked the man who came out if he had a few more wood blocks to put under the tires and ramp to assist my car off the trailer... he looked at me like I asked for a golden unicorn or something and said "no, we don't have stuff like that here.". I had to go rummage through the dirt lot to find concrete blocks and rocks to wedge under tires. Thankfully another gentleman came out and was at least visually aiding me while trying to back down.. having to stop and get out multiple times to attempt to adjust blocks.. during these adjustments, all of a sudden the original guy came up and handed me his phone saying the manager wanted to speak with me.. she immediately started interrogating me about what I was doing, why I was doing it, why I was having her people help me, and more?!? wtf?? I told her I was doing all the moving myself and did not even understand why we were speaking on the phone? I ultimately got the car down without major issue.. not thanks to Uhaul. Not only would I not use this location ever again under any circumstance, but it honestly made me think about looking elsewhere next time I need to move. Very disappointing way to end a long day of travel.

Trailer was dirty inside He hung the chains so down the road they hit the road. I redid I ordered up for pick up at 1:00 and he called to tell me I had to pick up at 9:00 because he had to leave.

Owner was 20 minutes late in opening his store. He could not find the mule. He was confused about everything and he was foggy about helping my hook up trailer. He wore flip flops, which are not safe around heavy equipment. This is a side hustle for him. Pkeas STOP using him Office was a mess and dirty with boxes strewn around unbelievably unprofessional! Bad experience all around!
