I had the hardest time picking up and Returning the truck using the phone app I waited on the phone forever to talk to someone since my account dashboard didn't show I had reserved a truck. I had even done the pre checkout to save myself time at the location. After all that they charged me additional charges so check your final contract and email them if you notice added charges email them back. They were quick to refund the incorrect charges and luckily the location I rented my truck from had a human that was able to finally help dispatch the truck after a long struggle with his computer system.Elizabeth P.

The location looked like a creey car graveyard, complete with an old hearse with ripped out interior. The gentleman there was rude and very unhelpful. We had never used the U-haul app and this was our first time renting a moving truck from U-haul. Our friend we put down as a reference revived a call before we were able to pick up the truck and then messaged us to say how rude the lady was who called her. Since those two were the only human interactions we had with U-haul, it didn't start out great.Matthew S.

Proprietor was rude, slow, made mistakes about the return time and then blamed me. He text me that the truck was not returned when it was sitting out in front of his store for hours before. He wasnt present at 1100 am when I returned it. So I left the key and the co tract as he instructed. Then he overcharged me for a clean out when it was spotlessly cleaned by me and reffielef to top off minutes before i returned it. Very slow rude and dishonest uhaul rep. Not whay i have ever experienced before from uhaul. O have used uhaul doxens of times. This was my firsthand experience.Dennis A.

Ed is a sweetheart I would rent from him outside of uhaul. Uhaul the overall company was a terrible experience. Your system was down. Ed tried everything to help me your company wasted 2 hours of my day when I had people who were getting paid 2 hours to move our stuff so they weren't able to do anything because of uhauls lack of communication and terrible service. I will do everything I can to never use you guys ever again!! And I will tell other people as wellDerek H.

When I reserved the 15ft moving truck online I thought I selected check out at the counter vs the mobile app; however, when I called to verify with the location if they received my reservation and if they had a 15ft truck available, I was told I have self check out. I was surprised, since I intended on checking out at the counter and knew I would not have time for mobile check out. I had issues with the app, had to call customer service, they reset my pickup preferences, stayed on the line with me through the whole pickup process, had a few issues along the way. I was at the uhaul rental location for at least 45 mins trying to pickup the moving truck and left feeling very frustrated. However, I loved the customer service rep who assisted on the phone. She helped speed along the process when we encountered issues; otherwise, it probably would have taken a lot longer. If it's your first time renting from uhaul and using their mobile app for self-serve, I would recommend giving yourself at least an hour.Christina J.

Staff was excellent, but you do not resource this area. The equipment needed wasn't there. The contract was slated for a hopeful return, that didn't occur. The fall back was to get a text on Saturday, (before the Monday morning intended p/u). Central reservations (Amy-was nice and helpful as your system apparently is limited) advised me of a Logan, UT area that wasn't open on Sunday. Ogden site was open from 9 am -noon that saved my day, but was 4 hours of travel and $60 in gas. You need to be more up front and realistic on reservations. You're equipment quality would more than enough allowed me to optimistically PLANNED on going to the alternate location, rather than spring it on me on the weekend.dan R.

I reserved a truck for Evanston Wyoming but was told only 2 days before the scheduled pick-up that nothing was available there and that I'd need to go an extra hour out of the way to Ogden, UT. Not a huge deal obviously, and U-Haul did give me a $50 gas rebate to compensate. But that amount didn't fully cover the extra costs of (a) my wife and I both traveling to Ogden so she could drop me off, (b) my wife getting back home in her vehicle, and (c) me getting the U-Haul back to where I would have preferred to start from. And that is to say nothing of the extra time. Again, not a huge deal, and we recognize these types of things happen, but we also wondered why we were told so late in the game and why U-Haul couldn't get the truck to Evanston for us, since that's what we had paid for.Matthew W.

The guy working was nice and helpful except that he never gave us a reciept or anything for proof of delivery (which became a problem later).Rainy O.
The pickup location: 1: DIdn't have a functional printer. 2: I said I didn't want to donate to whatever he asked me and he still charged me $3. I asked why after I saw the receipt and he said it was too late. 3: He drove the car onto the trailer and had forgotten to tighten down the ball on the trailer, the whole car and trailer smacked into the Uhaul. He had to back the car back off the trailer and re-align the Uhaul just to attach the trailer right. 4: I was asking him to put stickers on the Uhaul to mark damage and some were high up he said "Do you think I'm 7' tall?" Ummm no, but go get a ladder and mark the damages right. He didn't mark them he jumped to mark below the spots and said it would be good enough. 5: When I got to the drop off location they pointed out that the pickup location had forgotten to put the safety chains on the car. It could have fallen off and hit our truck that was traveling behind the Uhaul. Totally unsafe.chrae K.

The 24/7 UHaul phone system is horrible. The system couldn't find me (yes location was on) so there was no way to get the vehicle. The Owner was generous enough to check me out even tho they were not open. Outstanding customer service by the owner, horrible automated system by UHaul.Thomas S.

Very bad experience with this location. Extremely unprofessional. Threatened to refuse me service because I couldn't provide a specific time frame. I simply stated I will plan on the 24 hours uhaul offers I promised not to let the truck sit and bring it back as soon as I possibly could get done moving. I had to do most of the moving with me and one other person moving a two bedroom house. He was very rude, to the point where my eyes were watering from trying not to cry. I told him if he wants to refuse me service I will go down the street and it wouldn't be a problem. He also had me write my debit card info on a little piece of paper, full number exp date and CVV. I explained I would rather verbally tell him but proceeded to follow his directions. I gave him my ID and the paper with my card info, when finished with the transaction he handed me my Id and slided the little paper to the side of his desk out of my line of sight. I could just be paranoid but this was a little sketchy to me. Please don't go here. This man tried to belittle me in the way he spoke to me and the things he said.whitney H.

U-Haul needs to find a new dealer in Ogden. The â€œofficeâ€ is really just a counter at his kitchen and the lot is extremely unappealing with numerous broken down RVs and cars.Matthew M.

This looked to be someone house with a large gated in property with tons of broke down looking vehicles. Place was run down looking and not inviting or safe. The guy was not even in. Dropped the trailer. There was no info on contacting him so we looked up the number. We had the trailer one extra day and our credit card was charged an extra $59. Not the $20 we were told. I got charged $25 cleaning fee. This is ridiculous, there was a little flour on the floor of the bed of the truck and they charged me $25 for that?!!! I was never told about this "cleaning fee" before I rented the truck or I would have taken 2 seconds to brush the flour out. Ridiculous.Jessica C.

The place where I dropped off the truck in Ogden, which is located at 145 W 9th St Ogden, UT 84404. Is ridiculous, when I returned the truck the contract stated to return with 3/4 of a tank, and when I returned the truck the fuel gauge read 3/4, but I was charged an extra $24.62 for the fuel price because it was 1/16th under the 3/4 mark according the desk person. Talk about money hungry, I can't believe they wouldn't let 1/16th just slide. I'm never going back to the place at 145 W 9th St, Ogden, UT, 84404 amd I would never recommend going there for any type of service.Danny D.

I would recommend that U-Haul look into getting diesel engines in their bigger trucks. This would, overall, reduce fuel consumption, increase the trucks ability to go up hills when loaded and lower how much maintenance is needed on the motors due to the reduced amount of strain of trying to climb the hills.Shawn G.

I showed up angry and complained to the person who helped me. You see, when I picked up the truck from another location, the inside was filthy. Almost every time I use Uhaul, I get a filthy truck, and I'm sick and tired of getting other people's filth all over my belongings. I don't clean it out when I get it filthy, either, because you never know what is in that dirt, and making clouds of dust in a closed space like that can be dangerous. Anyway, it wasn't this location's fault that I got a filthy truck, and I shouldn't have let them have it, but he was very patient with me and didn't respond defensively or in anger. We couldn't find an employee until 15 minutes after our scheduled appointment when he finally called us back and emerged from his hidden office to let us in. Then the appointment took at least another 20 minutes even while another couple was waiting to pick up their rental. During the review process he was fairly rude and inconsiderate to us and tried to strong-arm us into bringing the truck all the way back to this location (which would have been over 30 miles away) and made snide comments to us when we declined such as "Well I guess you have more money than you need, unlike most of us".Jared H.
Clean the Rental for starters! Was filthy inside the windows were filthy . It needed wipers. They knew we were driving 2000+ miles across the country they put us in one of their oldest units with 150+ miles on it. We got a wrench light about halfway across the country and had to stop and buy or oil to put in it !! For 2000 miles my husband had to listen to her whine coming from the engine and tremendous wind noise !! We dropped the truck off at the other end in Alabama at dealer could not believe they put us in this old truck ! He said he was just going to call U-Haul to have someone come and pick it up because he wouldn't even rent it for his local moves !!! Back to PENSKE !!!Diane P.
