60$ for 30 mins rip off
Jonathan RThe truck has transmission problems. From the time I drove it off the lot from Interstate Battery Center on 5/9/2025 until I returned it on 5/12/2025, the truck wouldn't run over 45 mph and the U joints would clunk. I expressed this concern several times to Customer Service and others, so there should be notes on this issue. What I failed to do was call when I first got the truck but it took so long doing all the preliminary paperwork via internet, that I was already behind schedule.

charlie sProblems with the app turned this rental into an ordeal. Nothing to do with the location - it took me two hours to get the equipment and a lot of keying and re-keying info trying to figure out the problem. Error handling on the app i score as FAIL
THOMAS PThe cargo van was dirty, both inside and out. Your staff explained that they don’t clean the units and depend on renters to do so. Does not work. The two staff, however, were exceptional and were personable. The unit operated properly because it only had 7300 miles on it. We will go back to Penske.

When I returned the vehicle the main office was open and I was able to drop it off and the staff said he'd check it in for me. Saved me some time doing the online check-in. I appreciated that offer.

RALPH KThe uhaul online register app does not work. I tried 3 times to set up rental but the rentals didn't show up in the system at uhaul. I finally got a real person who set it up for me. Difficult to register act in the app using a cellphone.

WILLIAM HThe location I chosed for pick up did not have the 20ft truck available, they added miles if I drove instead to Kalamazoo to pick it up but I did not even use th total of miles, it implied me to expend more in my personal vehicle and renta truck gas, plus the truck did not have the moving pads I paid online aswell. I requested refund of the pads, but would like also part of the extra gas I had to assume. Thank you

DOUGLAS RPersonnel at this location was unwilling to assist with gas gauge issue and insisted that I was charged an additional $27.50 for gas when I returned the truck with more gas than it has when it was rented.
STEVEN PExcellent Customer Service, Equipment was ready for us, clean and gassed up. We have been to other UHaul rental facilities in the past that were not very good. We are glad we found this location and will be returning to them when we have future needs. Thank you.

NATE AI dropped off after hours so limited interaction with the team. Parking lot was fairly full and there should be info on where to park if that happens. Ability to use the app to drop off was a game changer - nice job! Other customers were there using the after hours pickup - so that is nice as well.

AARON AThe staff at Interstate Battery was extremely friendly and helpful. They explained my options and how to return the vehicle after hours. The app wouldn't recognize my location, otherwise I would have done everything online.
PETER FLocation was great, nothing against them. But fix the U-Haul app. When turning in the U-Haul, the app glitched multiple times and would freeze and force close when submitting pictures. Took photos two separate times just for the app to crash and then it said I had no U-Haul rented, didn’t show past history either. Had to wait to talk to a customer service rep and resubmit all pictures which made a quick check out process a 20-30 min ordeal.
