My pick up experience, not at this Iron Horse location, was awful. My review is for where my reservation was, which is the location at Wilderness Chevron, in Maple Valley. I was originally there slightly early for my scheduled pickup time (about 1.5 hours early), which was my error, but was told the truck wouldn't be back until about 30 minutes before my pickup time. I inquired if that was common to schedule the trucks that back to back for reservations and if the truck would really be available and was told yes. So I left and returned about 1.5 hours later (this is a half hour drive for me each way to this location). The truck for my reservation had not been returned. There was another 10' truck on site, which my reservation was for a 10' truck, but I was told I couldn't use that one as it was for local rentals and I was using the truck for a 1 way rental. As a recommendation for customer service, I think it would make sense to fulfill the customer's reservation first, then U-haul can coordinate their truck locations to get a truck back on site for their local rentals. After waiting at the Chevron location for about an hour while the service rep was on the phone with U-haul, another 10' truck had been returned a few miles from where we were at so I was told I could go pick up that truck. On my way to my car I slipped leaving this location on a large oil spill in the parking lot, resulting in my shoe, ankle and part of my pants covered in oil, plus a sore ankle. So after two trips to try to get this truck, for a total drive time of 2 hours of my day, plus 1 hour waiting at the location, then an additional drive 2 miles away, 1 oil spill slip, 1 pair of ruined shoes, I finally had a truck for my reservation. The employee at the Iron Horse location, which is where the returned truck was located that I was picking up, was very helpful and pleasant. We loaded our truck and completed the drive the next day. Upon unloading, the truck apparently was leaking and it had been raining during my drive (hence why I had rented a fully enclosed truck as rain was expected). The mattress we were hauling was completely soaked through on one side from the rain. We are in process of trying to dry the mattress out with fans, but it's been two days of fan activity now and it's still wet so likely ruined as well. The mattress is probably going to end up disposed of, along with my oil covered shoes. So overall, I feel this move cost me quite a bit of extra money in addition to the truck rental since I'm going to have to replace the most expensive thing we hauled, not to mention the 5 hours out of my day it took to just get the truck originally.karissa B.

This is not for the the people at Iron Horse hay and feed. They are very helpful and easy to work with. I would give them 5 stars and hope there business is doing well. On the other hand the regional manager that oversees this uhaul location does not maintain the equipment at all and is quite rude and unhelpful. The trailer I rented had a bulging bald tire that somehow went unnoticed and caused my trip large delays and put my cargo at huge risk. The trailer tie downs where also worn out and broke causing our motorcycle to come loose and sustain large damage. He seems like he just likes to come around and flex his job title but sucks at actually doing it. His whitey tighties might have been giving him a wedge that day but he was also very demeaning to the feed store employee in a uncalled for way.FINN H.

Juan at Iron Horse Hay & Feed is amazing. Professional, courteous, understanding, and empathetic. We experienced a one day delay returning from picking up a vehicle with the U-Haul Auto Transport we ordered this week, and then we were stuck in accident traffic on our way home, missing our drop-off time. Juan was great to work with and made sure we did not feel rushed bringing it home, and he was able to very quickly find an alternate Auto Transport for the family that was to receive our return. Juan showed great appreciation for our safety, and we now plan to rent from Iron Horse Hay & Feed for our 1-3x U-Haul orders per month. And bravo to U-Haul for having Iron Horse Hay & Feed as a pickup location.EMET W.

Start by quit renting U Hauls in my name as this has happened early in 2020. When I called & asked for this to be changed, I was told it does not matter as I would have no liability if something happened. I stated it did matter & to confirm back this would be corrected. Now here is the 2nd occasion that makes it look like on paper, I moved again. That's great for x-wifes and such, but not so great for the quality of standards & common courtesy. I was sent to this location after a reserved 5 X 8 cargo trailer was unilaterally swapped out for a 5 X 9 open air trailer. The location was 35 miles away from the reserved location. I feel that if a trailer is reserved, U-Haul should make sure that trailer is available at the reserved location. Not surprisingly, the furniture blankets were also unavailable and after a 35 mile trip out of the way to get the trailer, I wasn't going to go 25 more miles out of the way to get the blankets, the only location where the blankets were available. And for some reason a utility dolly was added to the order, but thankfully, the pickup location had the option of removing that part of the order. But just to be clear, the location and the checkout and all that was involved in picking up the trailer was as expected and if the original trailer were honored at the original location with the furniture blankets, an excellent review would be posted. So for the next customer, find a way to honor the reservation, and be proactive about shuttling around equipment and supplies to do so.Howard B.

Pick up location was great. It was the billing that I will give you zero stars for. I returned the trailer at 5:15 pm. The website says it closes at 5:30. I used the phone app to note the GPS and I place my copy of the contract in the drop bin. I spoke with Dan at the pick up location today and he said they had already spoken with the regional manager about the late fee (Sanislov Paboada) and that I would have to talk with him about the fee. I called Sanislov on the phone immediately thereafter and explained what the situation again. He said he hadn't even spoken to the store location, which is not true. He said he would have to look into it because he didn't have the information, which isn't true because he had already be given the situation by the rental pick up location. I told him that I've lived in this area for 27 years and know a lot of people and that if he didn't provide me the refund of the late fee, that U-haul would get bad feedback on facebook, and anywhere else u-haul is advertising on social media. He would not refund the money. This isn't right, and for someone like me, who is out of work, $27 dollars is a lot of money.Vincent S.

This location is really out in the sticks. Without GPS, I never would have found it. Signage was poor. Several people in line. Their U-Haul computer system was out, so the process was slow. Nice people who finally helped me with the pickup process and the hitch. Not ready for prime time because this is a country feed store and not a regular U-haul location.Terry L.
