My husband and friend arrived at Bancroft location to pick up truck. When they arrived first of all the rental agreement was not what I had arranged when I called Burlington to set up. The trucks had not been started prioro to my husbands arrival. My husband went out to truck to find it dead. Had this been started before their arrival this would have been known long before they arrived. Also they had to clear the large amount of snow off the vehicle. My husband and friend were delayed 2.5 hours while waiting for trucks to be sorted. This is a preventable situation. In fact another customer was so pissed off that day that he walked out. I want to state right away that the lady Penny was lovely and this is a huge job for her. When there were multiple switches of the vehicle to one that actually worked the gas was well below a 1/4 of a tank. Penny was well aware of this. However the paper work did not transfer over when trucks switched for some reason. After talking to management and the area supervisor who continued to tell us this all was done prior to my husbands arrival in bancroft was a crock. I have to fight for a refund for the poor service was ridiculous! The area manager actually grabbed a calculator while I was on the phone to enter incorrect information about the gads when it had clearly been explained. At no time was there ever an apology for this messed up situation. I explained that my refund or price adjustment from Burlington was because of a mistake in quote and the number of days rented. She gave us a fifty dollar credit for a rental guarantee. I have talked to both employees who will support what I am tell to you! I am not sure who the area supervisors supervisor is, but I sure would like to talk to that person. My husband or I are not to blame for this situation. The bad weather was used as an excuse but honestly the bad weather did not come until the Sunday and we were already home. We are undertanding people and you have your policies but in this case I should have been met half way. You should have given back half our rental fee plus the over amount of gas we put back into the tank. I would like to hear from a higher power thant the area supervisor for Bancroft. When my husband went to pick up the vehicle, the charge was $86. Nearly double. There was a dist charge, whatever that is. Annoying when you’re on a budget and get a surprise like that.

JOSHUA OThe only problem was that we had reserved a few weeks ago for a trailer with the truck pickup in Ajax but found out the day before that we would have to travel to Port Perry to pick up the trailer. Not sure why because there were quite a few in the lot at Station St. That added to our inconvenience and a couple of hours to the move going up to Port Perry and back down to Ajax just to head further north of Port Perry after loading. Extremely inconvenient and stressful otherwise it was 5 stars all the way.
