The guy who knew how to do the paperwork was over 45 minutes late to my 9:00 reservation. He was friendly once he arrived but that caused a significant delay in my schedule. Maybe find some way to notify/remind the location so they can have someone ready to go at the time of the reservation.Elijah K.

Individual working was not on site when I arrived to pick the trailer up. I called the number posted on the building and he sounded annoyed that I had him drive back for my scheduled pickup time. The office area is cramped with supplies so there's no sitting area. When asked how I would return it since they were closed he said I will just disconnect in the parking area and he would check the camera at his convenience. I would discourage anyone from going here for UHaul needs.Adrian A.

No one was there when I returned the trailer during normal business hours. I called the number on my paperwork and he came right down. Perhaps a note should be posted on the door with the number to call if no one is there during normal business hours.rise H.

Small cramped office, bathroom was not operational and locked off. Parking extremely tight for rental trucks and customer parking, no pavement just dirt and mud.monty A.
The vendor wasn't sure about the ordered number of furniture blankets and he spent a long time finding and counting them before renting out the truck. Otherwise, he was courteous and professional.Peter B.
We dropped the Truck off and no one was there. I took many pictures to prove what time, date and location we dropped off at. I felt uneasy just leaving it with keys in the drop box during hours it stated it was open. It took me two calls to U-Haul to get our truck marked as returned. We returned it 21 hours before it's due date and I heard back, after I called, 6 days later. U-Haul called me in between those times looking for the truck we had dropped off. I felt panicked and nervous not knowing if our truck was actually returned or not. I think communication could have been much better. I would have marked poor for my overall rating, but I understand that there could have been things out of the control of J&R Towing going on.Kelly B.

Despite having set a pickup time and confirming the pickup time the day before, no one was at the pickup location when I arrived as scheduled. After calling to find someone to come get my trailer for me, I had to wait over 20 min for the guy to show up. Makes no sense that no one was there when I arrived.Kevin S.

The U-haul program was very slow at the site, otherwise I would have given it a 5-star. It was so slow he couldn't get the payment processed in 30 minutes, at which time U-haul wipes my reservation and he had to start the entire process over. Trailer worked great though.Alex M.
Upon arriving to pickup my U-Haul I had to wait several minutes while the employees finished taking some kind of test for their CDL on their phone. The U-Haul itself was gross, the cigarette tray was full of ashes and cigarette butts. The U-Haul was in need of alignment and the front tires were in poor condition, the tread on the outside of each tire was almost completely gone.Ashley K.
I live in Iowa and I rented a trailer in Haysville Kansas. The location I picked the trailer up only stayed open until 1:00pm. As i said, I was coming from Iowa, which is a 7 hour trip, so we left at 4a.m., to make sure we would get there before the guy closed his shop. We arrived there at 11:00,, there was no one there. So I called the guy who owned the business, and he said he had an emergency towing situation and that he would be back within 20 minutes.....it was over a hour before he finally showed up! After driving 7 hours, we were very upset to say the least! I would not recommend the uhaul location in Haysville, Kansas to anyone nor will I ever use uhaul againDebby M.

The place was closed when got there, he had an emergency tow and it took an hour before he was back to get us the truck we rented. I'd never use that location again as there wasn't any back up to still get our truck if the owner gets called away for a towing job. We were set back an hour behind schedule and it was remote and hot outside with no real idea of when the owner would be back so we couldn't leave or let our car run to stay cool. It was an unpleasant experience.Randy H.

We had an appointment and they were locked up. U haul called them and they said they were sitting @ the business which was a lie. They were not there. I waited an hour and finally left! eventually was able to locate them on the phone and make another appointment to pick up trailer.Larry F.

There is a sign posted that the Uhaul rental was open. They were closed. I had to call the number listed on the paperwork to inquire how to finalize the return. The representative told me that they are only there for emergencies and he would complete the process shortly. I did not feel comfortable leaving without the truck returned in the system. He recommended to complete the online check in. The online system would not recognize my password. Pretty frustrating.Andrea K.

Not good customer service. Called me and didn't introduce himself, he said â€œhey I'm here and waiting on you.â€ Horrible customer service. No english packets available, only Spanish. Rented truck at 1200 and returned it 1730 same day. He put in the computer as a return of 1300 the next day which automatically charges two days. Waste of my time to try and call around to get money back. Wouldn't recommend.Matthew N.

I preregistered on line but this location was not able to see this and I had to wait while the paperwork was re-entered into the system. This is the 2nd location I have rented that has complained about the Uhaul Corporation software.Kim M.

I wouldn't recommend this location if the world was ending and the only way to survive was to get a moving van from J&R Towing. In the military timing is everything. I specifically requested an 8AM pickup so I could make it to McConnell AFB in time to outprocess and move to my new home. Thanks to Jose and his infinite wisdom at J&R Towing, I was late to that appointment, which I'm return hurt our ruminant for the move and delayed us considerably. I arrived at 7:59 and called Jose to make sure he could let me in...this guy had no idea I was coming and was out doing work elsewhere. When I asked for his estimated time of arrival he told me 10 minutes. After I called him a second time he told me it would be closer to a 30 minute delay. I finally called U-Haul directly and was able to complete my reservation over the phone and not have to deal with this guy anymore. I received a $50 credit (which I have yet to see hit my bank account)â€”while I appreciate the gesture, I feel like this was a lowball in terms of compensation for what I dealt with. Unsatisfactory overall and I will never recommend this guy to anyone, and I am also considering never recommending U-Haul to anyone as well.Andrew K.

They ran my debit and credit card as we had to split payment due to unexpected motel costs to attend a funeral, the person at the location said no problem. Both cards were approved fut he said they never showed up in your system. I have finally got the credit card charged reversed and thanks to Shane for that, but the following charge has not. We have been promised a refund and then a check but have never received either. As you can see from the transaction date you have now had this tied up for 7 weeks and this was due to an error on your part. I hope this not how you treat all your customers, so to others thinking about renting from U-haul, don't unless you wish to be treated with disrespect. To U -haul please just have this charge reversed, one call to my debit card company would have taken care of this. Jose was great! Very friendly....but. When I arrived his shop was closed, I called the number and he was away fixing a flat for someone with his tow service. My time is valuable, I had a scheduled pickup and don't want to wait for someone to show up. His GOOGLE reviews state this exact issue. I will never pickup a trailer from this location again. I have a contract with U-Haul to provide a trailer at a given time and you can't expect me to wait around while he is running his other business.JEFF S.

The experiance was horrible I got to the location to pick up the uhaul and there was no one there. I called the guy who owns the business and he asked for me to wait an hour. It was 2 hours later before I was able to pick up the uhaul. And then I come to find out that my reservation somehow got cancelled when I didn't cancel it.Tori H.

The website said open until midnight. But when we got there about 10:30 p.m. nobody was there. We called the number on the door and left the trailer.steve S.
Keep reservation number on hand as mine was cancelled accidentally, and both the Uhaul dealer and I had to resubmit the reservation for the vehicle and trailer. Also, ask the customer if the vehicle is a wheelchair accessible van because they do not load on the car trailers due to the lowered floors. A dolly trailer should be recommended. Dealers should have an "on call" phone so that they can issue a new vehicle in case a truck breaks down during closing hours. The dealer in Topeka was NOT available which wasted 4.5 hrs approximately. However, J&R Towing should not be penalized for the defective vehicle. In saying this, the vehicle should be mechanically inspected more frequently as this one had 130K miles on it.JOHN H.
