This was a domestic violence case, I ordered this uhaul online pre checked in everything I was supposed to do. The uhaul WAS NOT READY! I GOT HUNG UP ON 6 DIFFERENT TIMES. FINAL RESULT..2 DAYS IN THE HOSPITAL! uhaul could have cared less I even told them I was in danger!VICKIE W.
We went there at 3:30 Hoping to avoid the whole self check out process but no one was there the place wasn't suppose to close until 5. Therefore we ended up on the phone again but the guy on the other end was very helpful to get us checked out with out going thru the phone. However I get an email stating I owed 30 more dollars for extra miles. A manager hearing my nightmare experience was kind enough to waive the charges and apologized many times.William G.

I dropped the truck off a day early at 1:30 on the 24th, the hours posted were 09:00-14:00, however, no one was at the location. After a 15 minute wait, I took several pictures of the truck and dropped the keys in the drop box. To my surprise, I received a cleaning charge from the drop off location. I will challenge the charge through my credit card company, and never use a Uhaul rental again. Terrible way to get repeat business, when you charge a hidden charge. The truck was not dirty, I have pictures to prove it.Michael W.

The trailer hit failed and came loose while going down the road. The chain snapped and the lock down on the hitch back off going down the road which caused the trailer to come lose. Thankfully there was no damage to me or the trailer but will not use uhaul trailers in the future.Joshua B.

Clean the truck. Smelled like smoke and had tobacco in the cup holder. Initially messed up the starting mileage and it was never corrected even though I was assured it would be. Both locations were rude. I don't believe I will be using uhaul again.Carl S.

I was originally supposed to pick up my auto transport at Swaneys Contracting Services LLC but when I arrived at 8:30 am on 7 Oct, no one was there even though they were supposed to be open at 7 am. I waited until 9 am (my requested pick up time) and no one ever arrived. I called the number for the location and got an answering machine so I called the 800 number. The person who answered was very helpful and moved my reservation to J&S auto which was about 10 miles in the wrong direction but I was late so I accepted. I arrived at J&S Auto only to find no one there. I again called the 800 number and spoke to another helpful person (I think it was the same person) who was in the process of rerouting me again when the J&S operator showed up. He said he left for a while because he did not believe he had a pick up until 10 am. I hooked up and he went in to do the paperwork. He asked me if I minded dropping off the trailer at another location across town because he had too many auto transports and I agreed. He typed up all the paper and asked me for $54.95 after crediting me the one-way drop off fee. I filled out all of the on-line paperwork the previous night expecting that I would be able to hook up and drive away so I called the 800 number again for clarification (i think I got the same person again). She told me the online process was just to reserve the trailer and none of it applied to the actual contract. this caused me a great deal of frustration because I needed to get to my location and was already 2 hours late. The hype on the website said I would cut my time in half by providing the online information, including credit card information, but it did not. I paid the fee and left very angry with the entire process. U-haul did provide me a $50 credit as part of the reservation guarantee or something but it hardly makes up for the extreme events I had to endure for this very simple rental. I rent from Uhaul consistently but this event makes me question my loyalty.John C.

No customer contact, what's with this crazy world. I definitely recommend John because he cares enough to be there when you need him. Thank you John for making our move a pleasant and smooth sailing! The location was not what I had selected when making my reservation 2 weeks prior. In fact, it was 30 mile further away. Not the fault of the location owner - this change looks to have been made by U-haul corporate. I rented a utility trailer for a one way trip. This change added almost 3 hours to what was already going to be a long trip.Garry S.

I originally called and placed on order at 927 N Main St. Clover SC. I specified that I would be there at 8AM and they told me that was fine. They took my information and told me they would have a truck available for me. The day prior I received a text message stating that I was to pick up at a different location at a different time. So I called the place in Clover and asked if this was a mistake, he told me that he had my truck and I could come pick it up at 8. When I got there, he acted as if he never spoke to me on the phone. The mad had a very distinct indian accent, and when I called the number while I was in the store, he picked up. The guy was trying to act like he never spoke with me, meanwhile, I had called specifically to avoid that exact situation. This was very disappointing. Everything went well at the location in York. Very rude. Called me late on Sunday night after I dropped off trailer complaining that I could not drop off trailer despite having 24 hour drop off at that location. Ended up hanging up on me.Carl W.

We made our reservation at a local UHaul dealer. It was changed without us knowing about it. An email was sent but the original clerk typed in wrong email address and we never received notification. Pick up day had us scrambling to locate truck. It was a one way rental and we had told original place where we wanted to drop off and when. This information was not noted and information on the new reservation was totally different. When truck was picked up, no one went over contract. We received two calls about vehicle being "past due" and we were clueless. We scrambled to return it to required location which was 10 miles from our requested location. The drop off location was accommodating. But the whole rental process was a complete disappointment. We could never contact the local dealer. Always routed to a call center. At one point, I was told someone would call me back in 5 minutes. I never received that call. I can honestly the vehicle was great but the rest of the experience was frustrating.Stephen K.

This is the second location I had to go to get this truck. The first location called me 1 hour prior to my pick up time to tell me to go to this location in another city. The lady who gave me this address did not give me a city. I almost ran out of time getting there because they closed at 2 p.m.ERNIE N.
The guy was rude, he used foul language with me and my husband. The office reeked of cigarettes and smoke. He had no idea where our information was online nor how much we owed when we arrived. When we asked he didn't even look at us he said quote"just give me your damn card number".And the truck didn't even have a 1/2 of tank of gas but yet when we returned it it had over a 1/2 of tank and we were still over charged. I had reserved pickup with furniture dolly and blankets at Interstate Self Storage in Rock Hill, SC at 3:30PM. Received text message at 3:22 PM, notifying me to pick up the truck at Givens Gateway LLC. The truck only had 1/4 tank of gas. They did not have a dolly nor blankets available for us, as previously reserved. We were advised to go to your web site and reserve a dolly. The truck had traces of mud inside and was given to as as not swept inside. I have 1 more relocation scheduled this year. This will be the last time I will use U-Haul.WILLIAM S.

The truck was to pick up was to be at a site that was 1/2 mile away. I was told the truck was there. But when I went to pick it up the did not have a truck on the lot. I was told I would have to go 20 miles away to get one. This is the second time this has occured. The first time I had to travel about 40 miles to get the truck.
