The person who checked me out got snippy with me when I (politely) told her my 15 foot truck only had a 12 foot cargo bed. It didn't seem like she was interested in trying to resolve the issue, but her co-worker overheard the conversation and came over and politely explained that U-Haul corporate calls what I had a 15 foot truck because it has a 12 foot cargo bed with 3 additional feet of space that was just over the cab. This didn't do me much good because I had enough cargo (including an almost-14 foot boat) to fill the full 15 feet - as it turned out I ended up having to leave the boat behind, which was a big disappointment. This seems like false advertising to me, but I realize this is a U-Haul corporate issue and not an issue with the pickup location.William A.

The father and daughter team at FDR Towing could not have been better. They provided late-night assistance when we struck a deer on I-84 just east of Scranton, PA, and were tremendously responsive throughout the night and until we resumed our trip the following morning, helping to make various arrangements and driving us from the damaged vehicle to our emergency overnight accommodations. Leaving the damaged vehicle so we could transfer the load to a U-HAUL vehicle the next day and driving us from our hotel to their location to pick up the U-HAUL vehicle.Stephen S.

The owner was 1 hour late getting there. Meanwhile I am paying movers at the location to just stand around. When I tried to call u-haul to close out the ticket, I was on hold for 1 hour EXACTLY and then disconnected. I tried to close it out on my phone but there was at least a 20 minute wait for help to turn on location services. I feel that this has cost me extra money for the movers and i should be reimbursed at least in part.Sandra L.
Nobody was at the drop off location I was there at 3pm nobody answered the phones and no answering service. And now being charge for fuel when truck had 7/8 of a tank of gas and can't anybody on phone from drop off spot or u-haul this is a bunch of shitEdward L.

They had a sign on the door which said they did not use masks, and they did not in violation of PA law. They watched, amused, from the window as I struggled to back the trailer to where they said they wanted it, and offered no help. They left it to me with a medical issue with my arm to unhook the trailer, again offering no help. The original drop off in the contract was much closer in Hamlin. Closed on Sunday, but with 24/7 drop-off and I should have just insisted on that rather than the switch to Newfoundland.Richard P.

I was very close on my travel mileage. So if I had to take a different route I would have been over. Otherwise the truck was very comfy and stayed warm thru the snow storms I hit. Thank you. I always used uhaul. Great company.Barbara S.

I was disappointed that my pick up time and location was moved the night before I was to get my van. I I was supposed to be notified by email and phone but did not receive the notice until the day after we had to drive 30 miles out of our way and 3 hours later to pick up are rental which caused many different issues with my plan to move furnitureApril A.

I returned the truck I had on the 10th of June at I think around 8 p.m.. I was able to have the truck until the 11th of June at 10 a.m. the truck needed to be back. when I got my receipt from this place it stated that their truck was returned at 8:26 p.m. on the 11th and a charge of $40 was for an extra day of usage. That is incorrect and that makes me very upset and will think twice when I want to do a u-haul. This place should not be a U-Haul outlet if they do not have responsible people like they did when I picked up the truck they were amazing.pamela B.

I rented only a $7.00 a day dolly and your system required excessive info such as copy of driver's license and phone # of my companion. Excessive, invasive and wasted a lot of time. Please streamline this for simple rentals.Scott N.

Pleasant person on phone but I resorted to using drop box when person failed to show up on Sat. morning (12N) after 25 minutes. Would prefer to show return in person. Assume no issues and tank was 1/4 more full than when picked up.caryl M.

This has nothing to do with JD towing because they were very friendly and helpful. However uhaul is a garbage company that cheat to make a few extra dollars! I reserved a truck that was not only close to my house but super convenient! The day before my rental I get told I need to drive an extra 25 miles out of my way because "they don't have that truck at your location" and my contract states that that is what happebs! IDGAF what the contract says I end up paying for 22 more miles because uhaul is to lazy to bring the truck closer. BS! It's a way to squeeze extra money from customers. On top of that when I got my bill I was charged an extra 100 miles which is corrected but not right to begin with.Jorge C.
