Recommend but call ahead. Upon arrival, not all of the requested equipment/supplies were available for rent (dolly). Had to scramble at the last minute to rent one from Home Depot. They also did not have the dozen furniture blankets we requested (only had 6). For this move, that was not an issue but could definitely see it being at some point in the future. At pickup location, personnel were friendly, professional and helpful. Employee hooked trailer up, ensured it was secure and tail lights were working.

LYDIA BI booked the UHaul 4 weeks out to be picked up *from the Leavenworth KS location* and with an appliance dolly. I was called the day before to let me know that the UHaul I requested was now in Platte City, a further 25 miles from the location I had reserved at, oh, and it wouldn't be ready at 8am it would now be 9am. So I had to drive further, which of course racked up the miles on the UHaul *WHICH YOU THEN CHARGED ME ADDITIONAL MILEAGE FOR* !!!!! To top it all, when I did pick up the UHaul they didn't have an appliance dolly (or even a furniture dolly available), so we had to lug a fridge/freezer, a washer and a dryer up 3 flights of stairs without it. Extremely disappointed, especially about being charged extra mileage because the UHaul wasn't in the place I'd reserved it. If that's the case, why even bother with a reservation at all? Really unhappy. Will not be using UHaul again, will find an alternative rental company.

Kent HI had requested a appliance dolly and there was none when i picked up the truck. The truck had the engine light on when I picked it up, and it had a bad exhaust leak. Also the mileage that was documented on the registration was 83 miles under the actual mileage of the truck.
ken kU-Haul switched me to this location the day before I rented. However I came in on a flight and the location was close for U-Haul business supposedly from 1130 to 1. The manager, Bobby was very helpful and took care of business. Even know it was during their reported closing. However, there was a younger employee there that was somewhat passive aggressive, and even though he said that he had 24 furniture pads in the truck, there were only 18.
Gregory CI had reserved a truck from another location 2 weeks prior to needing the truck. The plan was to get the truck in Kansas City and then drop the truck in Rolla Missouri. I got a message from uhaul the night before my pickup telling me I needed to go to a different location to get my truck. I got to the new location (above) and they said they had a 10' truck, but that it needed to be returned. They also said I would have to pay for both ways since their truck was considered "local only". I did not mind driving the truck all the way back to Kansas City, but I should not have to pay for the return since the original plan was to leave the truck in Rolla. We got our work done, but what a disaster. It seemed like everything was going to go very well, and the day before our move everything went off the tracks. Pretty disappointing

Certainly was not the employee's fault, he went above and beyond to resolve and was ultimately successful, but the overall UHaul experience was frankly awful.

Lynn HThe desk would have been hard to find, but the store clerk came up to me and asked me what I needed right away. I am unhappy with UHaul. It moved my pick up location 40 miles away when I reserved the truck a month in advance.
David TWe ordered 12 packing blankets and we only received a bag of 4 blankets. The UHAUL representative at this location did not have us count the blankets, walk around the truck to look for and list any previous damage, or tell us anything about the operation of the truck.
Steven FWe ordered a 20 for and had to take a 26 foot. It was much bigger and got terrible mileage and the ride was very rough. Most people would have appreciated a larger truck but for us it was an inconvenience. When we checked the truck in, they couldn't find the second contract for the blankets we rented from the u- haul center so we have no idea how they are going to resolve that. We took pictures of the blankets in the truck at the turn- in facility. They looked by name and by contact number and found nothing. I'm sure that means we are in for a battle. We were warmed that both contracts needed to be checked in... fingers crossed
