During pick up of the truck I fell into a 6-8 inch ditch that the property owner had for future power cable. It was not flagged or marked. I fell hard hurting my knee. I then had to deal with the poor lady who owned the business as the U-Haul group just rents space from them. They couldn’t find the keys and then had to deal with the odometer was off so we had to call the U-Haul guy again. The process just to get the truck was awful then there is the truck. It was 16 years old with 170,707 miles. The motor sounded awful, it was so loud and felt like it was about to blow up at any second. During my use of the truck the transmission downshifted irrationally and slammed me and my load around multiple times. The condition of the truck was rough at best. It should be retired in my opinion. Because of my knee getting hurt I had to hire movers to unload my truck. So the fee for the truck was $250 and then $360 for movers that I was not expecting to have to pay for since I got hurt…I hope U-Haul can make this right.
