There was a mixup because of the new national holiday on September 30. I was told that the location would be closed, and that I should come on the 29th to pick up the trailer. When I rush down there on the 29th, it turned out that they would be open on the first. They should have notified me of the change in plan. However, they stayed open late to accommodate me and allowed me to drop the trailer off on October 3 as originally planned despite picking it up a day early. Overall the service was excellent.MARY P.

The Trail reps were good to deal with except the 1 fella behind the glass who jumped in to help me. He was unintentionally putting very negative communication into his service. For instance, he said he had no record of me booking a trailer at all which put a scare into me because I was told the day I booked it that it was the last available. I felt he should have kept that to himself until he tried with the lady who booked my trailer to me. I had an emergency move for an abused woman and child and this fella had no clue what chills he caused in all of us including the abused woman and child. He should have just gave my info to the lady who I was originally dealing with in the 1st place. I'm not happy about what went down but Ashley corrected HimMICHAEL S.

The truck ran horribly, THE check engineÂ light was on, and it was leaking FUEL which I didn't know until the pickup location told me(which explained ALOT) I drove 300kms like that then was told I'll give you $50 back (later increased to $100) I paid $600 & ALOT OF FUEL and that's what is considered fair!?!?!. RIDICULOUS POOR SERVICE AND NO ACCOUNTABILITY. The person (Adam Kehler) who called me back was in their bathroom or somewhere odd and was the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL PERSON IVE EVER DEALT WITH. I would have expected them to take the call seriously and at least would have taken off $200+ for the unsafe vehicle I was given. I will be warning ppl to be careful, uhaul obviously dont care about your family's SAFETY and I will make sure to get the word around.Â I know things can happens but the way it was dealt with WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. 100% on UHAUL NOT THE PICKUP LOCATIONS. Staff there always does a great job of going over everything with you and trying to calculate the most cost effective package/ rate for you. My only "Con" would be having to wait so close to the rental date for confirmation that a unit is available at the preferred pick up point. Kudos to Darrell and his great staffDARRELL M.

The person whom did up the sales contract was great. The person whom connected the trailer and by U-Haul requirements did a terrible dangerous job. Safety chains we connected incorrectly, the hitch was not tightened. If I did not check prior to me leaving the yard the trailer would of came off the hitch/ball and potentially caused severe damage to my vehicle and potentially caused an accident. Really really not impressed. If this would of been someone whom didn't know or didn't check it could of been very serious.ROBERT C.

Initially, I was satisfied when my reservation made a month in advance was significantly changed. However, I was unable to complete my move due to not having access to equipment the size I had booked. I was told I would not be charged for miles as they changed from a trailer to a truck (increasing the cost by more than 4x) and I was then charged both for mileage and an additional fee for the timeframe that was on my original contract - without authorizing the additional charges. I would recommend finding ANY other option for trailer or truck rental for your move or risk not being able to move and/or being charged fees you did not agree to.Kandice M.

32 min on phone to talk to someone where to drop off trailer.3 locations in Vancouver didn't answer phone and mailbox full. Told to drop it off at a location that didn't exist from another . The woman from Florida ( 1 800 ) was terrible and the second operator was good and knowledgeable. . So .. total of over 40 min on phone in Vancouver on a side street,late for ferry to return your equipment. Rented lots from you ,this was not a good experience. Feel free to phone . Provide snow tires or tire chains for your vehicles. It is legally required to carry chains for this sized vehicle in this region in the winter. It is crazy to rent a truck that is not legal to drive.CORBETT M.

No! The service at the Creston was awful! I booked the 26' truck two weeks in advance for a move from Creston to Maple Ridge. 2 days before I needed it, after making numerous arrangements, I phoned to confirm & they told me they had no 26' truck and had no idea where I would have to pick one up. Also I wouldn't know where until 24 hrs ahead. Since I was having people driving up from the coast that was UNEXCEPTABLE! You couldn't expect people to drive for 8 hrs. to get here & then drive somewhere else to get the truck. Lucky for me I got a very helpful man from a dealer in Cranbrook. He gave me a number in Calgary to call & the lady there was very helpful. She found a truck for me in Trail & I was able to catch my driver on the way up so he could pick it up before he arrived in Creston. Thank goodness it worked out OK but the Creston office was NO help at all! As if moving isn't stressful enough!DIANA O.

the driver's side windshield wiper blade was broken when I picked up the truck. The rubber part of the blade was ripping away and actually the metal part of the wiper was scratching against the window (not what you want to see during the first days of winter/snow). Also, the steering wheel was filthy (I needed to clean it with paper towels and then used lysol wipes to disinfect). Staff was very friendly & helpful during initial sign-up!! +10 'BUT' head office had some confusion and sent a few emails that were incorrect.colin B.
