Whole situation from the first pickup that never happened because the truck wasn’t there waiting for me when I reserved it over a week prior to the Uhaul company never emailing me texting me or giving me a phone call to notify me of this before I arrived to this location. After traveling to two different locations picking up people to help with my move. From a $50 credit that I was promised to get from that ordeal that I never received to when I had to reschedule the pickup to that same location because it was closer to my house & the storage facility but when I got there the business was closed when the hours on the door said it would be open. I was able to access the truck had to do mobile check in had challenges with that finally got that to work but then when I got the truck the mileage wasn’t visible and the UhAul people did not know how to assist me with seeing the miles all I could see was how many miles til empty which was 27. Took a pic of that sent it to the Uhaul rep she told me not to worry about it. After I returned the Uhaul I kept calling back because the app still said I had the truck in my possession when that wasn’t correct. Everyone I talked too probably a total of 10 people or more from Saturday until Monday when I thought this would end but no the Uhaul rep said the business was closed until Wednesday of that week. And that I had to wait for it to be checked in to know everything was good when I was told the whole process would be because information I had access to I took showed them which was the mileage situation. Not to mention the app kept messing up wouldn’t accept the images they needed to be uploaded when u do a mobile pickup again which was something I had never done and was not expecting to be doing then since the business was supposed to open that day so I was told everything was being noted in my account and everything was good but it wasn’t. The local company where I picked up the Uhaul tried to tell me I drove 68 miles when I calculated the mileage before making the trip not to mention this was done early Saturday morning when the traffic was clear and smooth. I had many conversations with the Uhaul people only for them not to help me even though the whole experience was recorded supposedly from all the detail calls I had to leaving training for my job hi to the location where I picked up the Uhaul and talk to him in person because over the phone he wasn’t trying to help me either trying to tell me how I went over in the mileage and blah blah blah when he wasn’t even there. Eventually I hit him to fix the mileage to where I just didn’t want to be charged extra Ik I was gonna get some of the mileage overage I added back but at this point I just was like yeah just keep what yall had and don’t charge me extra at this point I just wanted it to be over and not have to worry about my account being charged for extra that I did not use. Yeah awful experience never plan on using them again if I do it’ll only be because I could not get movers. Oh and the reason I got later for not getting the boo $49 return is that they claimed it was added in on my invoice which it was not that was the changed the location made about the mileage not the credit that I was told was issued back into my debit card on the 16th when this was like the 18th. Either way never recieved my $50 for the first experience that never happened and argued with lied to about the managers giving me a call back within 3 days it’s November 1st now this move the second move was October 18th still never heard from that supervisor manager or whomever it was that was suppose to be reaching out to me… just a horrible nightmare that had my blood pressure sky rocketed I would never recommend this company to anyone

They were closed during their own store times so I couldn't get help. I wasted and hour getting it fixed with customer support. They didn't leave the dolly we ordered or the blankets. They didn't answer the phone when customer support called them.
Leah S1. The online process for pick up and drop off is frustrating, time consuming and to get help you have to call and wait in queue for a representative. When you are about to move you want a fast and easy process and get on with the busy work. 2. Ordered a utility dolly , was charged for it and went to go use it to find out that they did not provide the dolly. So again call a rep that can do nothing by the phone other than note chart and once truck returned hope the charge comes off if not call back and chart is noted so they will adjust it .Made my. I’ve much harder, and again time consuming to have to stop and call an 800 number for nothing because you don’t get a live person to help handle issues. 3. After moving all day (without a dolly) drop off the truck and the Uhaul portal wants pictures of truck and how returned . That’s fine HOWEVER they don’t ask for the pictures before using the truck ! Thankfully I did take my pictures but how are they to know the way it was before pulling off and gas mileage/ gas . 4. Truck did not even have 1/2 a tank of gas upon pick up so again stop in the middle of your move to fill up a truck that should be topped off in gas and also topped off upon the return Instead of guessing where the gas needle was so you can return it the same way. Overall experience was not that great. Also the lock box the key is in for the truck is a pain to get into. The rep on the phone even said that everyone has troubles with the locks 🔒

The gentleman helped me out with patience and consistency when I arrived, my U-Haul was not available that I reserved, but he took time out to make a phone call to find me what I had reserved for that. MICHAEL CInitially, my experience at this location was welcoming and understanding, and I appreciated the courteous demeanor of the staff. However, as part of the process of obtaining all the necessary materials for my move, I was directed to an additional second location. It was during this stop that significant challenges began to surface. Despite my best efforts, I was unable to secure all the essential moving materials, which placed me in a difficult position with limited options. As a last resort, I contacted Debbie, the Assistant District Manager at the U-Haul Regional Office. From that moment on, everything changed. Debbie immediately relieved the hardship and took full control of the situation. Because of her swift action, I was finally able to obtain the moving truck and all necessary items required for a successful move. Her intervention made a tremendous difference, and I am truly grateful. Debbie managed the entire situation—one that took nearly an entire day to resolve—with professionalism, patience, and persistence. I personally witnessed her coordinating via telephone with other U-Haul representatives, tirelessly advocating on my behalf until everything was resolved. **Thank you again, Debbie. TAMMY BJim, if that’s even his real name was VERY rude. I called about concerns on why I had addiction charges on my card the following day after I turned the truck in and completely filled it up. He kept cutting me off while I was trying to talk to him and explain my concern, he tried saying I went 15 miles over what I told him when I know for sure I did not! I calculated my mileage very carefully. He then proceeded to tell me if I wanted help I needed to call someone else and hung up on me.!
Zanasia JThe truck was dirty, service engine light was on, low left rear tire light was on. They were supposed to open at 9am, did not ever open. I had to use the U-Haul app to get my truck, and it was very, very difficult to use.

Martin H24 hours into my 48 hour ride a 3rd day was added without my approval, after spending 3 hours trying to rectify the situation and nobody would respond or contact me I gave up and accepted the extra day which I used 10 hours of. A troy somethig was who approved it. They shouldn't add on days without renters consent it's wrong what if people need the money for gas and still plan to have it back at the original time. Should be looked into

Stephen HDue to the small undersized lot, and too many u-haul vehicles returned from the weekend, it was not easy to get in the parking lot. I went over on the mileage, but had over 1/2 tank of gas and returned vehicle/car hauler almost a day early. And I could not get a discount based on the extra gas & early return. Then I paid for the extra mileage (20-30 miles), then found out later that since I had someone else pay for this u-haul at the pick-up location. They also got charged for the extra mileage. So we were double billed. Go Penske!!!

Owen VAs a truck share location, things should be more customer friendly. I arrived around midnight and had to call U-Haul to help me navigate the pick-up. The location was poorly lit and frankly speaking it was kind of sketchy! I could not utilize the pick-up procedure established by corporate. The QR code was not on the door and could not find anywhere on the building. There was a lack of proper signage, and no working accessible lock boxes. Also, it appears that the equipment maintenance was inadequate. When I started the truck, the engine sounded very worn, as well as the check engine light being on. Windshield wipers were bad and smeared the glass during encountered rain. Truck was very basic and did not have cruise control. And to top it all off, the truck had no gas. It was essentially on empty! I would expect the truck would have had a full tank of gas and be road ready, as this was reserved as a one-way rental with an estimated 400-mile driving distance. The truck was at least clean inside, BUT STILL...I EXPECTED a better experience!!! DISATISFIED CUSTOMER!

Manuel RThere are half a dozen fees Uhaul does not disclose to the customer. I estimated the cost of my rental (of a van) to be 40 dollars, but it came out near 90. They can get away with this by a term on the contract along the lines of "I accept every charge from now on," of course. It's extraordinarily scummy.
Jacob EI had no complaints with the pick up location, it was the crap I went through after downloading the U-haul app on my phone, which took an 1 1/2 hours, to go through duplicated procedures, then not being able to tap on the "agree and continue" button. Plus, I was originally supposed to go a 1-way travel, from 1 place to another, but that didn't happen, so I returned the truck to the original place I picked it up the same day! It had less than a half tank, when I got in the 20 foot truck. I drove a total of 46 miles round trip, where I didn't move anything. I used "maybe" 1/8th of a tank of gas, I was charged $5.00 a gallon for 7 gallons of gas, totaling $31.50. Since it was on a Saturday, I had to wait till Monday to call the business, JM Auto, and explain to the guy what happened. He said I needed to call the man in charge of U-haul, so I left a voicemail message for the man at JM Auto on Monday, telling him the situation, and he never called me back. Then I called U-haul and explained to them what happened and told them I'd like a discount since I didn't use the truck for moving, but ended up taking it back the same day. Last night, I received an email from JM Auto showing they charged me an EXTRA $21.15 plus $79.90 for a 2 day rental. So today, Tuesday, January 10th, 2023, I called U-haul back and asked "WHY" I was being charged the extra money, and the lady told me, JM Auto charged me an extra day for not returning the truck, and I explained that I returned it the same day because I never made the original trip, because I called them yesterday, and I should be credited and not charged for it. So I'm being credited for half of the $79.90 which is $43.41 (tax included), but I should be credited for the $21.15 AND the gas charge! I was NEVER INFORMED of the $5.00 per gallon charge for 7 gallons of gas $31.50. I actually paid $135.68, then charged the EXTRA $21.15, and am only getting a credit for $43.41. I feel that all of this was inappropriate, and no person should have to go through the hell I went through to try and get this resolved, which in my opinion, they still owe me credit for the gas, plus the $21.15. I was told it would cost $123.00 for the day, plus tax, but they also charge an "Environmental Fee" too! But since I didn't make the original trip, it was changed to "LOCAL" at $39.95. What a CROCK!!! If I ever have to move again, I most likely won't be using U-haul!!! So people make sure you know what you're paying for BEFORE you pay it!!!
marcia kHours said they closed at 1pm I was there at 12:45pm no one was there. The letters in the lock we not even to set to open. The truck pulled to the left and made a loud noise like a belt issue.
Melissa PThere were old dirty blankets in the trailer and some broken plastic pieces I had to sweep out before using. But not too bad. Took an extra minute to clean it out. Other than that, service was good and I only had to wait about 15 minutes for the guy to move Uhauls out of the way to get to the trailer I rented. I assumed it was hiding behind so it wouldn't get stolen.

Erika GPicked up after close. Had hard time with whole experience. Did it on phone pick up was horrible. Didn’t give truck number had hard time with lock had to call for help. Then couldn’t find the spot for the lock. Got disconnected for the lady that was helping us. So we just took lock. Pick up on phone didn’t get to put the mileage or fuel that was on the truck because we needed help with lock and it took us to another screen on the phone. I took pictures of all that before we left for proof. Returning it was not much earlier.
Kristi BI was charged a $15 insurance coverage fee after I had already declined the coverage while booking the reservation. It was added on to my rental. I contacted the location was told it was added on because I didn’t provide my insurance card but I was never asked for it. And was not made aware that the fee was being added to my reservation. I will be disputing the charge with my bank.

Vonchelle SI returned the vehicle, but had issues with the return app. Couldnt get ahold of customer service. Put keys in lock box and they waited 2 weeks to let me know yhe truck had "not been returned." There are video cams at the place i rented from showing me teturn the vehicle and keys. They then preceded to take out over 1k from my acct. Noone ever called me to investigate even though I was told that someone would. Had to go through my bank to have it looked at for fraud. This company is shady af. I will never rent grom them again. Go fuck yourselves, uhaul.
