I was told the smaller trucks were not available, neither of the two were used that day ( my sister works across the street and said neither was used) causing me to rent the larger more expensive truck. The front windshield had a huge crack, the gear shift was broke, I was told I had to bring the truck back with a full tank of gas when I picked up the truck it was barely over a quarter ( I have pictures of both instances) it was an AWFUL expierence. I feel cheated and I would NEVER go yo this rental place again

John mI had the U-haul for 5 days as it was only myself and my senior mother moving a 4 bedroom house in to a 2 bedroom apartment as well as a storage I agreed to a 1 time $12 protection fee.. or so I thought no, I was charged $12 a day then they say it’s $29 a day.. no there are taxes even in Oregon apparently then they ask how long you say I don’t know exactly 2 or 3 days they say it’s ok this is just a estimate there’s no late fee.. BS. I did take longer than I thought with moving that’s not uncommon and U-Haul knows this they called me to ask when I would be returning the truck and I told them the next day which I did but they quoted me $228 and some change and when I got there it was $442 and some change I have no problem paying what I owe but I was quoted one price and charged significantly more and the protection charge… charged daily? Come on I didn’t agree to that and also pretty sure y’all charged me late fees after saying that you wouldn’t I have no idea though because I’m so burnt out which I’m sure you guys count on that

Manie MRead the fuel gauge accurately and fairly. I got charged $9 when I returned the vehicle with more fuel than when I picked it up (I have the photographs!) but the fight isn’t worth the nine bucks.

Taylor RThe van was dirty and only had 1/8 tank of gas. I had to put in a couple gallons just to avoid being stranded even though I only drove it 11 miles. I also had to sweep out the dirt before loading stuff in the back. The U-Haul app wouldn't allow me to upload photos, so I had to "accept" the condition of the vehicle as described even though it was inaccurate. The guy at the store was helpful, although busy running the store, so it took a while to check out the vehicle. The best thing was the location was conveniently close by.
Sarah FThe vehicle engine had a miss and I would suspect gas mileage was affected. The van box leaked from a heavy rain and got two of our boxes wet. We had to drive 20 minutes from where we originally told we could pick up the truck to a different location.

Michael WVechicle was dirty and has mechanical issues. It needs a new suspension which led to very bumpy ride. It also kept slipping out of gear. It was also very dirty.
Jim CDrop off went smooth, the employee was nice, The restaurant inside this drop off location was awesome! Highly recommend the lamb gyros.

Ashley BWe went to go pick up our truck and they told us that all the gas has been siphoned out of their trucks but there should be enough gas to get to the gas station. We finished checking in got the keys and when we started driving, it completely ran out of gas and died right when we pulled out of the parking lot. We went back inside and told the guy who checked us in and he basically didn’t care and completely acted like it wasn’t his problem. He offered no solution or even tried to help. Eventually he gave us a gas can with a broken spout and I had to run and get gas. They put a new spout in when I came back and helped put the gas in the van. It was barely enough gas to get to the gas station. When we got to the gas station the gas attendant decided to check if there was a hole drilled into the gas tank because someone else earlier that day had a u haul with a drill hole. And who could’ve guessed? Our truck had a hole in the gas tank. We called the u haul dealer and he asked if we could use the van he had instead of the truck. We said yes because at this point it was already like 2 hours past when we were supposed to get the u haul and we had stuff to do. So we drove it back to the dealership. Which by the way is incredibly dangerous and ridiculous that we had to drive that. It completely put our safety at risk. We got the van and everything was fine. We returned it later that evening by the time we were supposed to. They did give me discounts because of everything that happened, which I appreciate. It just baffles me that they let us take a truck knowing there is no gas in them, let alone a drill hole in the tank. You think it would be their responsibility to make sure their trucks are in good working condition before letting people rent them and put customers safety at risk: But I guess not. The whole experience was literally the most stressful and worrying thing I have dealt with from a company. These people should not be renting uhauls to people.

Kara CThe store opens too late in the day. I wanted to pick up at 7:00 AM, per my contract with U-Haul. The store did not open until after 8:00. It was great otherwise.
Todd MThe Johnson creek market location is a glorious experience if I thought I was having an issue all I had to do was call the store they were very accommodating and resolved my issue without hesitation
ANDREW FIt may be more convenient to have 24 hour drop off at that location but seeing as where it’s actually located, I think, returning during business hours is more prudent.

Henry JThe first person who checked me out with the vehicle, he knew what he was doing. The person who checked me back in couldn't find the paperwork in the computer and said several times in different ways, " Are you sure you checked the equipment out from here?" Maybe a class on how to use the program would help? I had my "paperwork" from the rental by the time I was at the vehicle but I had crossed the street and was waiting for the bus (I walk with a walker or walking stick) before I seen anything from the return!

donna nThis was absolutely horrible. The people who were supposed to be helping with uhaul were inattentive and having to also ring up customers in their convenience store. Their computer equipment was old and faulty and they miscalculated my mileage. Will never come back.

MICHAEL AEveryone was great. So friendly and professional. Helped me through the process with great knowledge and efficiency. The truck was not clean. I tried to upload pictures but it wouldn't process online. The bed had not been swept and the interior consuls, cupholders and pockets were sticky, like someone had spilled a soda.

Robert WThis was the worst experience ever. Order the truck for 24/7 pick up at 8am. The place calls and pushes it back to 9am because they aren’t open. I told them I had the 24/7 option. They said they don’t do it at their location. I said okay and they update my reservation. Then I get there at 9am and they aren’t open. Finally I get in 10min later and they have issues with the reservation. They have to cancel my reservation and create a new one, but they can’t pick the drop off location I perviously selected on the old reservation, so it’s now an hour pass my pick up time. I get in the truck and the gas isn’t full! I finally get moved and then have to sit on hold for an hour with customer service to change the drop off location because they automatically assigned me to a place out of my way. Such a shit show.

Rachel SWhy can't the reserved trucks be in pull through spots. 26 foot truck backing up around cars. Why? There should be express line for on-line keys . Never adequate staffing at this location.
Jennifer SNo one verified the mileage, gas level or condition of the truck. The drop off destination was incorrect. We had planned for a one way trip, was notified of a drop-off site in Portland. Had to renegotiate that. The cost was more, because of the mileage error. The service provider, seemed disorganized and careless.
