They tried to over charge me. Both head lights where out the interior lights didn't work. When told that the police to us to park and not to drive it do to no lights and glass falling from passengers side mirror they became increasingly angry and started yelling. I would never recommend this location. They have horrible service and equipment!Dominique C.

Service is quick and efficient. Friendly. The truck was dirty inside and out. Not sure when it was last vacuumed or swept. You know, when you look in a cup holder, that sticky stuff with crumbs on top. I did the Boy Scout thing (not that) and left it cleaner than I found it. Well, I sort of brushed out part of the back with a sheet. That was as much effort as warranted. The hinge that holds the door open was broken, causing the door to jam. I really had to SLAM that sucker. The door hangers were solid. This is my second bad experience with dirty smelly Uhaul trucks. I should make it my last.Eric G.

Contract said to call when we arrived in town. We tried calling Thurs. am. (Truck was due at 9 am Fri) to see what time would be good to return Thurs. No answer to call so I drove over and as I was waiting female behind counter was talking on her cell phone to a friend while the business phone kept ringing in background. WHEN SHE FINALLY GOT TO US, SHE FIRST SAID WE WERE LATE! Then she said we had to check in on line...We didn't have our phones with us, and she was unable to help. Then a man came in and took over. He had us checked in and on our way in a few minutes. All employees need to know how to check in and out trucks!Stephen R.

I had a 10ft truck reserved a day in advance and when I got there on the day they did not have that truck therefore I had to get a bigger truck that I really didn't need and I had to pay extra I don't think that's fair I initially asked for a 10ft truck I shouldn't have to pay for a 15-footerMelvin D.

First off, do not offer products that you do not have. I rented a utility dolly, was charged for a utility dolly, and received a standard dolly. When I asked about it I was told we would just have to eat the 3 additional dollars on the dolly because they wouldnt refund it. Then upon returning the uhaul they told me I needed to put a few bucks in it for gas when it was on a full tank. They didnt even check it. Honestly I'm a little perturbed by it all. And when I received my receipt 4 hours later via email, it states I was charged 10 dollars for mileage yet I was offered .99 a mile and only drove 7 miles. I have pictures of the mileage before and after. Honestly, next time I'll rent from menards or home depot instead. I get it's only a few dollars but it's the principle of the matter now.Torben M.

Vehicle had only 1/8 of a tank of gas when I got it. Had to turn around after I left to show them. When I brought it back with 1/4 of a tank I was hassled and almost charged double what I was quoted. I drove it 29 miles, put in $22 in gas. It took 15 minutes of arguing with the guy that I wasn't paying $120 for a $60 job. Never had a problem with U-haul until todayRoy G.
When we got the truck home it wouldn't start. Dead battery. And I called the uhaul site and they couldn't help us. We had to jump the truck ourselves. The person on the phone didn't even know the number for roadside assistance. I will NOT rent from uhaul again.Mary L.

Our truck was completely out of windshield wiper fluid, the windshield was dirty and difficult to see through, the check engine light came on 2 miles down the road, our original reservation would work with there system, we were there for 30 minutes trying to figure everything out, the inside was a mess, and the truck overall felt as if it was not safe to be driving in. I would definitely look elsewhere to rent a UHaul.Paige C.

We got a confirmation from a Pines Rental in Joliet Il. When I got there they said they didn't have me down as having reserved a van. I was like ok I have a confirmation number. Didn't even want to see it. The guy was literally yelling at me about not being able to do anything to help me. Then he just walked away. Didn't offer to help me at all besides giving me a number to call. So I called U-Haul help line and they tried to call Pines Rental. They wouldn't pick up the phone. So they ended up sending me to a different location. Because of this experience I will never use U-Haul again.Alfredo G.

I was told I would have 24 hours to use truck. When I went to pick up, I was told I had to be back by 8 pm because someone else was taking truck. I had to rush my movers and didnt get everything moved because I had to be back by 8pm. That was a lie no one came to pick up truck. I have to rent another truck which will cost me more money and miles.Charla E.

The guy who we picked the truck up from explained nothing and when we told him the service engine light was on he told us not to worry. The truck is in desperate need of a tune up and an air conditioner. Our reservation info was printed off of the email confirmation I received. It has the wrong address for the truck pickup so there was some confusion with that as well.Kevin H.

I called the location to explain that I was going to be an hour or so later than expected. The return time was 7, however I dropped off at 8:15. He told me that we would discuss it when I showed up. I was charged a whole other day. Worst experience I have ever had with a Uhaul establishment!!!munoz E.
I called and reserved a different truck. and the one I reserved was a larger one at a different location. And the system said it was available and the location called me and told me it wasn't. So hopefully for your next customer they don't get screwed into a different truck.Zak S.

Had 10:00 pick up time. No truck there because they rented it out to someone earlier who was to return it by 10:00 They were 45 minutes late. I had a reservation that obviously was not met After 45 min I left and got a call truck came back and so I did go back Gentlemen at Marathon was very apologetic and nice but still it is no way to run a business!PATTI S.
When they tell u, that the $$, is on hold....that's not true.....a charge is actually put thru on your card....deducted from your account; then when u bring back the truck, & the $$ amount is different, they do a credit, & those $$, goes back into your account; then they do a new charge for the correct $$ amount.....you're looking at your online bank, & they're telling you no $$, came out your account.....they need to explain it: HONESTLY.....stop thinking people don't see/get notifications when there card is swiped.......Serita S.

I was told by the person who checked us out that I could change the card when I checked it back in. The person who checked us back in wouldn't change the card. Those checking you out are behind glass. You can't hear them and have to yell to be heard. Very poor set up. No privacy.Thomas K.
