EDWARD CA $72 projected total rental cost turned out to be $132.00. I refilled the gas used and it cost me $60.00 for the 10 miles that I drove the truck!! I have rented from this location before. Typically, the gas tank is close to full so all you need to do is refill it. This tank was virtually empty. That circumstance is an opportunity to cheat the customer. By not filling the tank each rental, the station lets the customer "guess" about the amount due. There is no way to accurately project the amount needed based on the approximate view of the meter. So, it is an opportunity for the station to profit on that client uncertainty. Genuinely a perverse business model. A further aggravation is that the owner runs the attached gas station so she could have easily prepared the vehicles properly. When queried she told me that she was unable to refund me any money, and the fault lies with U-Haul as this is their mandate. So, as she holds, it is U-Haul's plan to profit by exhausted client's errors! I would have thought better of U-Haul. Lastly, Home Depot, a competitor in truck rental, always prepares the trucks fully. My rental there would have been $72.00.

MICHAEL MThe U-haul location in East Delray Beach is excellent ! The staff were helpful and efficient. The 10’ van was perfect. I did a quick day move locally and it met all my needs. Dropping if off at 10 pm the same day worked out seamlessly. FYI .. they have a key dropbox and they also have a 24 hour pickup lockbox for keys off hours, 24 hours a day. That’s cool ! I highly recommend this location, and the nice people who run it. Errol Ebanks the local zone manager was there too .. Very helpful !

Wayne HLocation mgmt responded to several of my questions as if he has nothing to do with UHaul. U-Haul should be aware of this, zero support at location, utube, google and utilizing a development process with the app that OBVIOUSLY places U-Haul marketing ahead of end user experience. It’s like you LITERALLY hired a spam company to design and write your app. Then you design a process which REQUIRES the use of the app. Post-Covid switch to zero customer service. Overall horrible experience due to app design and lack of any onsite support. The only onsite direction/answers I received was that I parked the truck in the wrong location. This is AFTER he insisted I park on the street in public parking, absolutely horrible.

I had to park 2 blocks away and walk back to the facility to retrieve the truck, glad it wasn't raining. The customer service was rude, unfriendly and acted as if they were anode to serve you. I'll never rent form this location again.

Harley CFix the god awful app. It froze and crashed multiple times on pickup and didn’t even allow me to finish the pickup process or photos. Upon drop off it froze and crashed multiple times as well, making it near impossible to upload all the required photos.

Nino PThis location does not allow you to park your car in the parking lot. You have to park across the street despite the fact that they have enough parking. Apparently, this is according to the owner’s rules. I would not have rented a U-Haul here had I known that, as I was having to transfer things from my car to the U-Haul to help me move and on the way back, I had to transfer things from the U-Haul to my car. This made it unnecessarily difficult. I would not recommend this place to anyone else. As a paying customer, I should be allowed to park on the premises.

Lou OI love that the truck was new, and smell like new. It was clean. The only thing I would Expect is that we were inform that we need a lock . I had no idea that I need one so I have to invest and bought one from Home depot. And it will be nice if we get money back if you leave the car with more gas that it was received.
EMILIA BThe woman behind the counter was extremely RUDE! While she was working with me 4 different customers walked in. She walked away from me without a word to help those customers. She then came back to me when she was done with those customers. Then she again walked away from me to work with the customers who walked in. I then pointed out that I have an appointment and that I was not happy that she stopped helping to help others. She then told me that if I didn’t like it I could leave and go else where. I said no I need the truck now. I got the truck through her and that location. I will not go back there again. I don’t need the negativity in my life!

Christopher LGreat and fast service. Cashier was a little uncomfortable with a lot of people in the store while doing my transaction ( do limit the amount of people you bringing there with you.) I did fill up with gas at the location when I returned it, but was still charge for gas on the transaction.

Carmen NAs soon as we left the pickup location and got on the highway, the back tire exploded and we almost crashed! Didn’t see anything in the road that we could have hit, so I can only assume the tire was flat or old and should have been better maintained. We were also charged for additional gas after filling the tank to the level that we received it at (7/8 full). Owner of location was pleasant, but can’t recommend do to truck condition and unwarranted gas charges
BRIAN BIt’s literally at a gas station and they make you wait to the side until there are no more customers for gas. But the thing is the customers don’t stop coming in so they will make you wait for up to a half hour. Then they won’t even check the equipment with you when you bring it back because they “have customers” meaning they can say whatever they want after you leave! Horrible location one of the worst I’ve dealt with so far.

Mathew AAt pickup, I was told that if I filled the tank to 1/4, I would get a $15 credit on my bill. I drove a total of 59 miles and put in $18 of gas which took the gauge to 1/4. When I picked up the truck, the gauge was on EMPTY, really empty. I was told when i picked up the truck, it had 1/8. Not true. Then, the 10’ truck took 500 yds to shift to 2nd gear from first. No, it was not on manual. I was charged $101 to drive 59 miles. Terrible. I will not rent from uhaul again.
ANTHONY AFollowed the fuel guide for refueling, and had the proper amount. However, I get my receipt and was charged for 2 gallons of fuel at $7/gal. Absolute ripoff. Will never, ever, use that location ever again.
Richard RDisorderly miserable gas station owners. Truck had a broken windshield wiper during a storm, TPMS monitors going off the entire time. Truck given at 3/4 tank, brought back full, no offer for credit on gas.
