The location was fine but we were very disappointed with the U-Haul customer service overall. Our pickup location was moved 45 miles away with about 12 hours’ notice before our scheduled pickup time. U-Haul offered no alternative solutions or attempts to fix the problem.

Have the location check out maintenance of vehicle. My unit had a check engine light on the whole trip. Make sure vehicle is thoroughly checked before renting unit.
RACHEL RAbout half of our moving blankets were filthy. The back of the truck was dirty, a nice layer off dirt to sweep out before we could put a box in. Oh and the rental location didn’t have enough of the blankets we ordered,, so we endeded up with 30 blankets,. The truck only had 3/4 of a tank of gas.
TODD PCharged us extra for gas after we told him that we had it at the same mileage as pick up.

BRADY RNot happy after the rate change. A 20' truck wasn't available in Castle Rock. My wife picked this truck up in Elizabeth and didn't realize it was $600 higher when she picked it up. It was higher priced than a 26' truck down the road from our house. Doesn't make sense. Be aware of price changes in the area.
JO KU-Haul switched pick up locations and when we returned it to the address in the confirmation email, The gentleman refused to accept the U-Haul at that location and my husband had to drive an additional 30 minutes to drop off in a remote location where no staff were available.

William MOverall my experience did not go as planned or scheduled. I reserved a trailer (5 x 9 Trailer w/ramp which showed a wheel chock) online . Planned pick-up was in Castle Rock, CO and of the 4 locations that showed online, 3 had the equipment that I wanted to reserve so I proceeded with a reservation in Castle Rock. I planned the pick up as I traveled from Albuquerque to Denver. I'm on the road and U-haul sends me a text saying my new pick-up location is in Elizabeth, CO, approx. 20 miles east of Castle Rock. I called the original pick-up location and he said he didn't have any one way trailers (Denver to Albuquerque). Why doesn't U-Haul's reservation system take that into account? The Elizabeth location did not have the trailer with the wheel chock, so I had to take the trailer that they had. All this was very stressful as I was on a time schedule and the wheel chock was important for safety reasons. U-Haul's performance was POOR. The U-Haul service in Elizabeth, JR's Village Repair, was EXCELLENT as they did everything they could to get me scheduled with the limited equipment they had.
Christopher BWe were not met at the stop spot to inspect the truck when we asked about it they said leave they would get to it. I went inside to verify that information and was told whne they got around to it we would get a receipt. Dropped it at 9:00 am and called at 5:00 pm for receipt. they said it had been sent hours ago and they would resend it. iu then received 5 receipts and assumed there might have been a hiccup in the system. I also think maybe they knew we had a problem and just didn't want to hear our story. But did not feel friendly and leaving the truck without a receipt with the problems we had was not comforting either.

Greg GI could not pick up the truck because the combination provided to get the key did not work or the lock malfunction due to low temperature (32F). I ended up canceling the reservation. I was charged for one day, eventought I canceled the reservation. Working on getting my refund.

colette nThe folks were helpful and professional, and the rental rate was very reasonable. We used a motorcycle trailer to pick up a snowblower that we had purchased. It was the perfect size, very helpful low gate, and our mission was accomplished quickly. Highly rate this business and appreciate its convenient location in our little town.

Holly PThere was no indication on emails, the website, or the app as to where the box was supposed to be parked or where the key drop was going. The side of the building with the company name on it was no where near or indicative of where the key drop was at. With our second rental in 3 days, the gentleman at the desk that I asked for help was rude, short answered, and seemed to have more important stuff to worry about as he was rushing to answer my question and before he even finished he was already halfway back to the back of the “store”.

staci FWhen I dropped off the trailer, the man at the counter had me leave the trailer in the street. He did not come out and check it in, or make sure there was no damage. I had to trust that everything was going to be okay when he finally checked in the trailer.

Patrick KThe actual day of experience was fine. It was easy to pick up the trailer. I hate having to have the app to return the trailer... Waste of time and annoying. I reserved my truck way in advance and late the night before I got a call that there were no trucks available in the area and that I was being rerouted to far north Denver or Palmer lake... Both of which were about 50 miles each way from my house, which was also 17 miles from the storage unit. I was incredibly angry that all y'all offer is the $50 guarantee which wouldn't even begin to cover the insane mileage fees I would have to pay, along with the extra gas. I get people don't return trucks but seriously.... The options available to me were not ok. Thankfully there was this trailer available in elizabeth, and thankfully I was able to find a family member with a truck and hitch. Not to mention I moved on one of the only days we didn't have rain. I'm blessed that everything worked out, but it did not make up for the terrible customer service offered by uhaul itself.
BRITTNEY DTruck was not ready at time of pick up and I was charged for a dolly I did not receive. Back of the truck was not cleaned and the cab had trash left under the seats.

Cheryl PCustomer services left a lot to be desired. I informed individual I had a trailer to check in the trailer but told couldn't be done right away, told to park on the street below (asked me if I had insurance). He said the trailer would be checked in later. I later contacted Uhaul customer service to ensure trailer checked in. They contacted the drop off site and had them immediately check in the trailer and moving blankets. In the past, when I dropped off Uhaul equipment it was checked in and cleared before I left.
