Initially was supposed to pick up a location near my house when I made the reservation. I received a call a few days prior that they would have the truck size I needed at a different location. Upon going to that location they did not have the size truck I needed and sent me to the above listed pick up location. The gas attendant was rude and in rush. He did not come out to the truck to check it's condition. Passenger side front tire was almost flat, PSI 20 and had to be inflated to 90. Interior was sticky and dirty and smelled of smoke. Gas tank was leaking and had to be filled every 60 miles. Alignment extremely off. Truck did not seem to have been serviced in a long time. Do not recommend using uhaul. Extremely unsafe and unprofessional.CASSIDY H.
Our recommendation is to close this location. Renting uhaul trucks is not rocket science. There's no reason to be this disorganized and rude. We would also recommend not hiring employees that lie to customers about fees. We will be filing a formal complaint!Derek M.

1) Maybe select a whole new location. I was not impressed in renting a truck (more on that "hot mess" later) from a store that was selling drug paraphernalia and cannabis products. Granted, it's CO and it is legal here, but still...where you rent a moving vehicle from...really?!? 2) Maybe offer some customer service training to the front line staff. The fellow who waited on me at both pick up and drop off was (or at least came off as) quite rude. I'm not sure if it was language differences/accent or what, but he was very short with me and went about his tasks as though I was interrupting something else that he had to due. *Based on the number of other customers that came in while I was there both times, I'm guessing that other thing would be taking a nap or surfing the internet on his phone? 3) Have qualified persons check out the vans/trucks that go out from your location(s). I have no earthly idea how anyone would have cleared the truck that I was given to use as being "road worthy". A key piece of window trim was missing, and subsequently this (along with cruising along 225 at just barely making speed limit speed) led to the driver's side window falling out of the door - somehow by sheer luck managing to be saved by me from falling onto the highway and shattering into thousands of pieces. Additionally, there was barely enough power to keep me at posted speed limit on 225, and to get me up the hill to the East Ridge in Castle Rock. I had to put the hazard lights / flashers on because I was so far below the posted speed limit until I got to the top. 4) Provide some leadership / customer service training to your manager for this location (and others in the area apparently). He needs to listen to an extremely dissatisfied customer just a little more, and not leave long-winded messages on my voicemail about how my actions didn't really follow U-haul protocols and thus I would continue to be charged for a piece of crap (POC) rental I wasn't even using. Then later leaving another long-winded message about how his offering a refund of a paltry $50 on a $120+ rental THAT I DID NOT USE was this massively charitable act on his part. Yeah, NO! Listen to me, the customer who got hosed by the POC rental you sent me off in, ended up having to rent another moving truck because of it, and because I was on a court ordered time schedule to have items moved. **In a side note, the manager for the other U-haul location in Castle Rock, actually lived to my situation and waived the extra day charges I incurred because of conditions that were outside my control on day two of my "move from Hell". I didn't ask for that, he simply made it so! THAT, my good reader of this feedback, is TRUE customer service! You may want to take notes. 5) When I call and ask to speak with a certain level of leadership about my issue, and then I'm told I should hear back (get a call back) from said individual...here's a free tip...MAKE SURE THAT PERSON CALLS ME! Do not have the person with whom I have already dealt and have issue with call me and leave one of their long-winded messages that only causes further aggravation and frustration to grow within me over this situation. I think that is enough for now. As someone who has been in customer service related jobs and climbed the ladder in a customer service focused career path for at least 40 years, let me say this area needs a lot of work for you/your staff/and yes, even U-haul as whole. If you can manage to fix the five items I mentioned and can avoid relapse of same with future customers, well...you might just have a chance at growing some business for your location(s) and U-haul in the region. Poor customer service from the guys running the place. The guy barely gave me any direction on where to park the car. Barely talked to me when he was inspecting the car. This was my first uhaul experience, so I had no idea what was going on. I'm not even sure this can even be called a legit U-Haul rental location! It is a small time gas station and mini-mart that sells questionable items of a recreational nature (It's Colorado, you can likely figure my meaning out). The individual working the store lacked even basic customer service skills and courtesies. This could be due to English not being his primary language and the thick accent, but regardless treating customers with respect and courtesy should be too difficult a skill to employ. What exacerbated this was the fact that I had originally gotten the inferior truck rental from this location, and I had questions about a refund and U-Haul making this situation "right" with me. The employee was terse in his dealing with me, and his tone was anything but empathetic as to the trouble I had dealt with over the previous 24-36 hours. He even said to me, as I thought he was still checking out things on the truck return, "What? I am done with you; you can go now, go!" This as he was counting some furniture pads/covers that I had rented as well. I took the "high road" and apologized for not understanding the transaction was completed - never mind I still had no clear direction on whether I would be getting a refund o any kind (and I still do not at the time I am typing this review). Still, this was rude and not the kind of treatment a customer in my position and level of aggravation should have been subjected to at the time. U-Haul should seriously consider whether or not to continue keeping this location on their list of rental options. Completely inferior service, vehicle, and experience.TROY R.

Gentleman at the counter was OK, but was very hard to understand. However, the truck was not in great shape, and the description of the 10 ft truck inside height is inaccurate. We attempted to load a 69â€ tall refrigerator into the truck which has an advertised 74â€ height. We tilted it back in order to make it past the door which was fine, but when we attempted to stand it up there was no way to do so without hitting the roof. So, we had to go back, return that truck and rented a 17' truck (a 15' was not available) that has a taller inside height. A very frustrating experience overall.BENJAMIN B.

This location was very sketchy and felt unsafe for me as a woman. The truck cab was not clean, and the shift gear was loose. The 24/7 app for self pick up did not work, so I had to go inside and deal with the gas station attendant.Tammy N.
Uhaul representative was not very helpful. They did not confirm we had everything we needed to use the dolly safely. They did not verify the condition of the dolly either. They took photos of the basic hook-up and walked back inside. Dolly itself was in reasonable condition but the straps were worn and fraying which should be replaced.Chenry B.

This location is a gas station, I'm not at all saying uhaul can't operate from a gas station but this was the most unprofessional experience imaginable. While I'm trying to get my truck, the gentleman behind the counter is also trying to ring up other patrons. He basically threw the keys on the counter and pointed to my truck and sent me on my way. The owner was unhappy because I did not use much mileage. 745 Peoria is .8 miles from the address I was moving from. The storage I am using is 20 blocks from there 1.7 miles. A total of 3 trips and back to the shop a total of 72 blocks. The owner of the shop accused me of fooling with the mileage. Then he got into the truck and came up with 15miles. Your person at the U-Haul location rented us the wrong size truck and then charged me about $10 because he claims that the needle was moved away from the F line or something I don't know he made the experience from the beginning very complicated and very hard to deal with him in the future I don't think he should run that U-Haul location I don't think he has the proper credentials just FYI I probably won't you ever use it againMarjorie D.

This location ran a dual shabby convenience store. The truck was disappointingly older and a little beat up. The windows were iced solid. The man did come out, start the truck, and de iced the windows. It was so dinged up, we took a video of the outside.Sarah B.

Every location we dealt with the representatives were less than helpful and in most cases treated us like an inconvenience. When I arrived to the location I'd made the reservation for I was turned away and sent to further away location. The first location in East Colfax was less than 2 miles from where I was moving. They could not give me a truck due to the gas tanks being cut the night before and the gas being stolen. I was not informed of this information until I was in the store at about 10:30am. The second location was 5+ miles from where I was moving. I asked if I could not be charged the extra mileage and was told no. I was charged an addition 10 miles for something that out of my control.Allison W.

The people checking us in and out were okay, but they are also taking care of gas/store customers so you aren't top priority. I had a question about the bill and they weren't able to answer it, so he had me check out on the mobile app to see the itemized bill. This location is terrible. it took 45 minutes to rent the uhaul because it was also a gas station and even though the lady had started helping me any time a customer would come into the gas station she would stop helping me to get the person cigarettes or a drink even though i told her i was in a hurry and was ALREADY IN THE PROCESS OF RENTAL when they would come in, but would get priority. The place was very run down and dingy, the uhaul i was renting was just kind of in front of the gas station. the womans printer did not work so she asked if she could take my phone and take a picture of the contract instead of actually printing it out and having me sign.David W.
I was first sent to a different location where the equipment was not available. I also had a hard time understand the person there. He finally printed out the location I needed to go to. I could not understand what the person at this location was saying. He could barely speak English. He also charged me $70 for the insurance after I said I did not want it. It also took a long time to get the paperwork done and get my equipment. He however did know how to hook up the equipment properly.david W.

This is a horrible location. The guy behind the counter was very confused when I told him I needed the key to my truck after showing him my app. It was like he had never seen the app before and didn't seem to know what the protocol was for self check out with the app. The location is in a high crime part of town and I didn't feel comfortable leaving my car there while I rented the truck. Contract couldn't be pulled up. Waited an hour then did rental as a walk in. Equipment was fine and the employee was nice and tried to help. I went to the location and they were not ready for me to pick up the truck. Also the person working the counter didn't really know how to handle the transaction and was on the phone with somebody the entire time. Additionally I requested 20 for moving blankets and they only had 18. But I asked where the others were I was told to go to try other U-Haul locations and see if I can find them myself. When I checked out I just gave me the keys with no contract and said I'm done. I had to call the help line at U-Haul to obtain copy of my contract. On the positive side the truck was new only at 4,000 miles and was great.Mark S.

Both locations failed to give me the details of my contract (the difference between in-town and one-way) when I dropped off at a different location and was told about a â€œconvenienceâ€ fee I waited on hold for almost an hour with Uhaul customer service who said I could hook it back up and take it to the previous location, but the location manager refused to hook it back up and I couldn't because I'm 5 months pregnant. So I was subsequently charged more than double the original price because of extremely poor customer service. I will not be using Uhaul ever again.SHANNON A.

It was good, down side to everything is multiple locations to fulfill my reservation. Truck was in Parker, trailer and dolly in aurora. I know the Parker location said they no longer do trailers because storage tenants kept stealing the trailers, recommend using trailer locks, 5 to 15 a pop. The Aurora location was nice and friendly, just difficult to find as it was on the back side of a mom and pop gas station.Jay W.
