I’ve used U-Haul for many years, but this was by far my worst experience. I initially called to ask about their hours of operation, and the person I spoke with was very short with me. Despite that, I decided to move forward with the rental. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle, the price I was charged was higher than what I was quoted online. I was not expecting any additional charges. The woman assisting me who I assume is the owner’s wife asked to charge the card on file without clearly explaining the charges. Since everything was handled electronically, I didn’t notice the increase until I checked my credit card the following day. To make matters worse, I later saw an additional charge. After contacting customer service, I was told I had been charged for fuel, even though I had refilled the tank before returning the vehicle. I was also charged for extra miles something else that was not explained to me Overall, this experience was very disappointing, and I will not be using this location again.

I was under the impression that it was unlimited miles as long as we were not going out of town. I was just picking up a bed and the truck/gas cost me more than the bed. As a senior I guess I didn't understand how all this works. I have full coverage insurance on my car why do I have to pay extra insurance? Everything is so advance now and its a shame that we don't have people To explain things any more. I guess its always about a dollar and not a loyal customer.
