Chip HGot charged for 2 gallons of gas for going 12 miles. The gas gauge never moved and was still closer to the 3/4 mark than the half mark, but it was stated that I returned the van with half a tank. I have pictures that prove otherwise. If a cargo van is getting 6 miles to a gallon with only 2 adults and a 35 pound TV in it, that van needs serviced.

THANKS to the U-Haul rental pick up location, Keith's Service Center, for providing a complementary padlock and key for the renter's use! My special thanks to Keith's Service Center owner Keiith Schaefers and his daughter Nicole, for their rental vehicle assistance on Fri April 11, 2025 during my vehicle pick-up and turn-in. Thanks also to Renee of the Pittsburgh PA area U-Haul office for her redirecting my original U-Haul reservation to the rental pick-up location that had the vehicle that I requested.
ERIC KThe actual location and the truck were excellent however using the app to get/return the truck was a pain. I had full service bars on my phone but it took forever for the pictures to upload and move to the next step.

JOHN MI am lodging a complaint as to the charge for fuel. The vehicle was slightly under half full when it was taken out and at most 3/8s when returned. I logged a total of 41 miles on the truck, but was charged for 8 gallons of gas and a $30.00 fuel surcharge. Two different charges were put on my VISA account. One for $46.72 and the second for $142.94. I will contact PNC Visa and dispute the larger charge. The individual at the rental facility agreed that the correct gas was as stated. I could not have used 8 gallons of gas in 41 miles.
Robert JThe u-Haul website said the truck would have a tail lift. It did not. I also thought I declined the “SafeCoverage” because I have USAA insurance but I was charged for that also.

IMAN GUnmanned location with convenient 24/7 access. Easy pick-up and return of equipment. Ordered furniture pads with rented equipment, but discovered during pick-up the pads were not in the back of the truck ready to go. Contacted U-Haul customer support and they directed me to an alternate location to rent furniture pads.

Sivaram Rday we were returning van got a call asking to return to some non descript location 1/2 hour from our house vs horsham next to our house. after calling uhaul, went back to horsham and was 5 min after they closed. charged $20 for this. not good
DAVE SPut 15.00 of gas in vehicle before returning it. They charged my Credit Card 19.00 for fuel. The gas gauge was were it was when I picked up truck. Please credit my Credit card the 19.00 Thank you Victor Mills 99634308

RAYMOND MThis review is for the pickup location.(Keiths Service Center) They did not have my truck. They were not even a little sorry. They could have cared less. They did offer me a 26 footer instead of the 15 footer that i reserved with them. Are you kidding me. They did have a 15 footer in their yard but they told me this truck was for local moves only. I did not need a 26 footer. I purchased the extra insurance with the rental. They did not have any paper work nor could they explain to me how this works or how to use it if I have a problem. They did not have any information nor did they explain about the roadside assistance. I asked about the registration and they said they did not have any paperwork for the truck. This location was absolutely horrible. I felt like they did not want anything to do with me. You should pull them from using your services. They are doing more harm to your brand than good. Since i needed a truck i took the 26 footer. As i was driving it back home i realised that this will not even fit in my driveway. I called Uhaul and asked to speak to a specialist. I was transferred to a scheduling specialist in Pittsburgh. Her name was Renee.(never got her last name) She was an angel. She was able to save me. She was so pleasant on the phone, so nice and she was able to find me a 15 footer in the next town. She was able to walk me thru the process of trading in the 26 footer for the 15. I cannot say enough great things about Renee. She is the sole reason why i will be doing business with Uhaul in the future.
Scott MThis location did not offer an easy way to drop off the trailer. The trailer did not have a built in jack and the site did not have an equipped jack to enable an easy trailer drop. May be fine for small trailers but this was larger and heavy.
JAMES ZThis is just a drop/pickup site. Don't expect help of any kind. If you can't unhook a trailer by yourself bring help.
Clayton BSame issue with the app. I used the self service app. It crashed on me before completing the checking out process. I called customer service and they told me that I was good to go. Customer service rocks both times.

Jeff BKeith and his team were great, very nice and helpful. If it werent for them helping me out I wouldnt have been able to pick up my truck. UHaul, your app SUCKS, this is coming from someone who works as an IT consultant... it maybe would be better if i didnt get kicked out several times and it actually worked the way it should.. wow its bad... went to drop off my truck and i couldnt even log in i kept getting a 403 error, i tried the app and on the website, neither worked. Thankfully Keith and team worked it out for me... you might as well just trash the app and start over, maybe just go back to having actual people in person help people. How could you have a "Self Service" app and the people that are actually good with technology cant even figure it out. Horrible experience with the self service app, great experience with Keiths
