First they have me a truck with a pad lock on the back that they didn't have the combo to. So I had to return that truck. Got the next truck and it was fine. Check in and check out at the location was an event that took 20 minutes on both sides since they didn't know how to do it. At one point they scanned a QR code with my phone and told me to work through the app. The app was for their side of things asking maintenance questions like did you put in windshield wash? Does the oil need to be changed? Have you cleaned the window ahead of the next rental? It was definitely not consumer side checkout questions. Was not happy handing the guy my phone for him to screw around on it for 20 minutes trying to figure out how to check me out.

I had a reservation for a one way rental. The pickup location changed to a local which I only realized when a dropped off the truck. This caused delays in drop off as U-Haul had to get involved to allow the drop off. The rate still was local but the drop off charge was removed. Still trying to confirm the pricing was as originally quoted. This was all necessary and was I result of lack of knowledge of the pickup location. Note that I questioned the charge on pickup and was told that they took extra in case there was extra mileage but that amount was different than the quoted amount to be collected on the original reservation.
