Great service at the counter. There was no cell phone service available to create an internet connection for after hours check in. I was quoted .99 cents per mile by uhaul and charged $1.19 by the dealer. I could not do anything about it at the rental counter because I needed the truck and didn't have time to get into a bunch of phone calls. This is a straight up bait and switch. Please call me to reconcile.

I am very disappointed with the process of renting this auto transport. I called a uhaul in White Plains NY to rent this. It was confirmed but in a different place. I then called before picking it up and they told me King Lumber and that it was the only place. Not very user friendly or how these reservations work.

Fix your reservation system! We had to wait over 20 minutes to complete the return of the vehicle because your system kept crashing or not responding. The associates at the location were extremely patient and apologetic and as frustrated as we were. There was another customer there at the same time who was unable to get a printed copy of her reservation and was furious. As it was, we were uncertain if the payment choice we made had even gone through.

This was the location I was sent to after going to pick up my reservation in Stamford where they changed my truck and time with out notifying me. Absolutely horrible experience with Uhaul for this move. I set up a complaint and have yet to hear from anyone on. I also paid for moving blankets which the truck i rented didn't have. Need to be reimbursed.

My reservation was canceled last minute due to no trailers available at that pickup site and uhaul tried to send me 100 miles round trip to an alternative location. I came from DC to NY for the trailer pickup to clean out moms house. . First rep quoted the fine print as opposed to trying to help me. Manager was finally able to find an alternative location 34 miles r/t. Reduced my bill 50 dollars and promised an extra day. Extra day did not reflect on final bill, which I will appeal. Not a good experience overall.

If a customer reserves pick up at one location, they should be notified between 24-48 hours after reserving if that pick up is unavailable.

Not happy with the location I was told I was picking up the truck in white plains then the day before they told me I had to pick it up at this location and I was told I extra miles and you still charged me

I was overcharged for gas. Charged for two gallons, however the mileage vs the truck mileage estimate shows only one gallon at most was used.

I was told that there was a 1/2 tank of gas and unfortunately, I did not check prior to signing and leaving. The tank was under a 1/2 tank and when I returned the truck the same way I was charged for not having the tank at 1/2. Disappointing!

I am not sure why I was charged a $25 cleaning fee?? I moved 1 mattress and a box spring. The van was not in need of any cleaning afterwards.

Best UHaul location ever hands down. I wish I could rent a truck from these guys everyday of the week. If they shined my shoes and ironed my shirt while I was waiting It wouldn’t be out of character for them except that I didn’t do any waiting because they’re lightning fast. Location was unclear. When calling to verify, girl did not know exact location of the drop off. The location was in the UPS Store and then we had to drive a mile down the road to actually drop off the truck. Terrible customer service.

The whole process was incredibly fast, easy and convenient. The online app for reservation and pickup/return process is well built and intuitive. The van was in basically new condition and spotless and didn’t smell of cigarettes. Overall a 5 Star experience.

Truck needs a front end alignment. Fuel gauge is not accurate. Before returning to King Lumber I filled it to what showed on the gauge to be 1/2 tank exactly at a gas station approximately 2 miles from King Lumber. My receipt shows the truck was returned with 3/8ths a tank and I was charged over $11 for fuel.

I confirmed Goldens Bridge with all reps and on my uhaul account paperwork. However as I was driving from the Bronx to Westchester County, I received a phone call stating my Uhaul was to be returned to Brewster North. This was very infuriating because I had to call customer service to get this resolved. The drop off point at Goldens Bridge was easy.

My overall experience with U-Haul at King Lumber was great. The clerk at the service counter was exceptionally friendly and I appreciated that. The only recommendation I would offer is to clarify is how to operate the Tow-Haul feature on the truck. The fact that the Tow-Haul feature is engaged the moment the engine is started is counter intuitive. Better instructions are needed in the vehicle.

The process to return is all on the person renting (exactly what I felt like doing after packing, driving and unpacking). This place was locked up and had to park to truck on the side of the road. - no personnel around to assist. What would I have done if I didn't have a smart phone.
