Waiting for a Uhaul rep to call a second contact and "Approve" them was awful. It took 10 minutes, and we had no indication that the wait wouldnt be closer to an hour. What a horrible system. I will never be using Uhaul again. Everyone reading this, use Ryder instead.

There was a problem with the U-Haul customer payment system which delayed check-in.
The location and the people at your King Lumber truck rental location were great. Even though the truck had ~148k miles on it was perfect and ran well. The only very minor complaint was that the rear lift gate was difficult to open and maybe needed alignment or lubrication. Besides that, my rental experience was outstanding.

I spoke to a representative when booking my rental at kings lumber. I told them I would be using more then 200 miles. They quoted me a price for a 15 foot truck. I return it less then 24 hours later they over billed me and charged fees. I talk to waren who told be they don't care. I can do what I want. I am putting dispute on this bill and will never go to kings lumber again. And u haul should teach these people how to talk to there customers Jatinder dhall
We reserved a truck but using the remote app was a nightmare. We had to wait for someone to assist us as the remote pickup did not work. We filled the truck up with gas on return to higher than the level it was when we picked it up and they still charged us for gas. We called to complain and they said they would return our call and they never did. Take pictures of EVERYTHING for proof- the dashboard and gas level especially. We have used UHaul before and it's always an issue. We'll be switching to another rental company. These guys are just lame. Additionally, after using services in a Baltimore location a couple of months ago, our credit card was hacked. Just BAD, BAD, BAD!
No instructions on remote drop off and text message giving drop off location did NOT SAY IT WAS A REMOTE DROP OFF. NO INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE

I think the technology of picking up a truck without a person there is a good idea - however I faced two issues. First, after entering all of the information it took a half hour for the phone verification to the alternate number before I could get the lock combo. I tried using the messaging feature and nobody responded for a long period of time and called - the hold time was long and the rep was unable to help me because he 'didn't work in that department'. When i finally got into the truck, the blankets, dolly, and handtruck I had ordered weren't in it and I didn't have the time or patience to get back on the phone so I took it as is and did my move without - not ideal. If I rent from uhaul in the future it would be from a staffed location - this just had too many errors.
I have a 2018 truck and had to purchase an older 5 pin I believe connector. U-Haul should have the most recent connectors avail so we don't have to buy them. They should be compatible with the latest connectors.
Can't improve!! King Lumber people are so nice and helpful. I work for a very customer service friendly company and I can find no fault at all with King Lumber, even after about five rentals. I've rented from quite a few U-Haul locations, and while all were good, these folks are a model of how it's done.

I have rented from U-Haul several times in the past, and really had no problems. Unfortunately, this last rental was somewhat of an unpleasant experience. Trying to make the reservation online was a bit of a nightmare with the limited options on pick up times. It took me over an hour. The procedure for returning the rental after- hours was even more horrific, very complicated and frustrating. We watched the video as directed. They tell you that you can return it by logging into uhaul.com/share. Once there you are supposed annotate the drop off time and miles on your mobile device. We tried for about 35 minutes with no success. It just kept kicking me back to the main page. We had no choice but to call it in. If you do this on your mobile device there is no charge. It seems like it may be part of a scam to charge you the extra $20.00 convenience fee when you call it in instead. Very clever!
the people at King Lumber were very nice and helpful, even when there was a small mechanical problem. I am writing this review because I found your Uhaul automatic stalker texts to my phone really annoying as you just kept sending them over and over. please stop that practice. it was maddening after a while. I rented a truck. I don't want Big Brother coming after me every two seconds.
Very professional service both prior to the rental and the morning of the rental. The equipment was in perfect condition. I would heartily recommend this location.

The staff at King Lumber couldn't be any better or more helpful. I have rented U-Hauls at this location in the past and have always been extremely happy with the service.
It is completely unacceptable that less than 24 hours before my reservation, AFTER sending confirmation text messages and emails, UHaul decided to change my reservation to either 7 hours later, nearly an hour and half away, or a smaller truck nearly an hour away. There is no point in having a reservation and early check-in process if the reservations can be altered so drastically only hours before pick-up. Customer service was unpleasant, refusing to understand why these sudden last-minute changes would pose a challenge to a customer. I will not use UHaul again.
