We expected to pick up our U-Haul at 8AM but the U-Haul site was down and the location couldn’t rent us the truck until 11:30 AM which then made us have to rent it for another day because we needed more time to use the truck. Not happy that I had to pay for an extra day!

easy to pick up
JASON KTold attendant about the issues I had with the truck and didn't seem worried or genuinely interested. Blamed it on user error without verifying anything. He started texting as I was on my way out and dismissed me.

I did rent another one .. Liked the older man who helped me. He was efficient & hard working but truck was not suitable to rent .

BERNARDO CI would not recommend uhaul to anyone. I had a horrible experience and had to change my location of pick up because uhaul made a mistake and then the location made a mistake and the truck was not accessible. I ended up having to wait 2 hours for a nother truck at another site and had to drive much farther than my reservation was originally made for. I was also charged more by uhaul. It is not kings tires fault, it is uhaul's and I will never use again unless they make this right.

GENARO DI was given a truck that had a license plate on it that wasn’t registered to any vehicle so I got pulled over and was detained for 2 hours along with my girlfriend while they searched the whole truck. It was humiliating and I should be reimbursed for the cost of the rental. As well as the license plate light was burnt out which was another reason they pulled me over. And the truck was such a mess in the back that I had to take it to the car wash and pressure wash the truck out. I’m not happy.

MAUREEN MI did not know my 2 days started from the moment I picked up the truck. I would have scheduled picking it up later in the day. I ended up paying an extra day and I had it back before dark on the second day. I was a bit disappointed. Over all though, the truck ran well, might need an alignment, but it did the job. Elario, I think that's his name.... He was very nice.

CYNTHIA GOwning a small local business for over 45 years, I know the importance of impeccable customer service from the point of entry until they leave the establishment. Monday morning, around 10 am, I was greeted by no one at the front desk. I yelled, "HELLO," and no one approached the front desk to assist me. As I was getting ready to cancel my RSVP on my app and drive to another U-Haul location down the street, a gentleman walked in, stepped behind the desk, and looked towards me with an "I don't like my job" look. Nothing was spoken. There was no greeting like "Welcome to UHaul Rental. How can I help you?" Not even a simple "HELLO!" So I tried to move things forward and said, "Hello, sir, I'm here to pick up my rental." And to build some commonality, I added, "Did you have a nice Christmas?" He then proceeded to pick up his phone, point his finger towards me, singling "just a minute," and converse with a person on the other end. Finally, 10 minutes after I had walked in, he proceeded to help me, but with a Scrooge, not very happy-type attitude. Forget about building a business relationship with this "owner" dude. I tried different topics. Christmas - His family - How's business? He asked for Drivers License information. The amount to be charged to the credit card is estimated. I felt like - Get me and get me out. Long story short ......Upon returning the rental truck, I was greeted with even more of the same. I was not so happy; I didn't like my job attitude and Scrooge-type behavior. NOT EVEN A "THANK YOU" as I left the business. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENT! To keep this from being a total bash of this owner and hoping that he reads this review, I would like to log out and send a positive light by sharing these wise words of wisdom with him. “Your beliefs become your thoughts! Your thoughts become your words! Your words become your actions! Your actions become your habits! Your habits become your values! Your values become your destiny."

MARK YWe reserved two dollies with our moving truck three days on advance and when moving day arrived and we picked up the truck the associate informed us they unfortunately didn’t have any dollies. We had helpers set up at a specific time move and this put off our schedule by an hour since we had to go buy our own. Once we unloaded our truck at the end of the day the truck broke down and we waited another hour for road side assistance, the truck was repaired and that was the only positive experience for the day that was already a lot of work and long. I won’t rent from U-Haul again.

Jillanne RPoor customer service. Gas tank filled “between 1/4 and 1/8” at pick up; making it essentially impossible to fill it back to that same level - I think this is a gimmick, for U-haul to make money from customers. The amount of gas on the tank when I picked it up was less than what was needed for the projected number of miles I told the guy - so, I was forced to get gas in the middle of the trip. Ended up with a tank that was half full upon return, but of course a credit was not given. So, U-haul essentially stole approx $10.00 from me. In summary, bad customer service. I hope never to need a rental truck from u-haul in the future.

EMMANUEL HThe service was less than great. When I arrived to request a rental, there was nobody in the office. I walked around and found someone who called the person who was supposed to be in the office, but they did not answer the call. When the person arrived at the office 15 minutes later, I was able to get my reservation completed. When I went to return the vehicle, there was again, nobody in the office. I waited 15 minutes and still nobody showed up. I had to leave to get to a meeting. This required me to make a second trip just to return the key to the truck. I did not feel comfortable leaving the truck key on the desk without anyone to confirm I had turned it in. There were no instructions on what to do if nobody was in the office. If this is a business, someone should be available during open hours.
ANNETTE ABest truck rental experience yet. Kings Tires on Santa Rosa ave. Employee made all the difference in the world. Very professional, fast, and kind. You can always tell when someone is a hard working family man, with old world values and morals. Price was lower than other u-haul places. I will rent from that location again if possible. More than 5stars for sure.

DARREN GIt had been awhile since I rented from U-Haul. Now I used my phone to check-in and pick-up the truck as well as dropping it off. What a great system. I would surely rent from them again. I didn't have to talk to anybody. But, I went inside to tell them how much I liked the new system.

JONATHAN GPhotos taken by the location prior to rental were poor angles that did not show full views of the sides of the truck. The "front" view was taken from overhead of only one front corner and did not show the bumper that had significant damage. The truck ramp had broken glass on it when I pulled it out to use it. The truck had ~134000 miles on it, surely close to being taken out of service? During the second day of my rental period, the A/C failed.

Michael DThe van had clearly not been washed anytime recently. It stalled a number of times; just lost power to the point I had to pull over. Staff was not there when I arrived to return vehicle. He showed up 20 minutes later. I asked if he worked there, and his smart ass reply was "sometimes". No acknowledgement that he kept me and others waiting. He went off premises for some reason and left the office completely unattended. The bill made absolutely no sense; the total amount seemed correct but the itemization was completely wrong. He could not explain it. I will not be returning to this location.
ROBERT SThe truck was dirty, the windows had not been cleaned in months, no water in the windowsheild dispenser. Truck parked behind a huge flatbed parked illegally across the driveway & sidewalk making it very hard to get out. There were no flags, cones or warnings signs and I had to try and exit the parked U-Haul around the flatbed on a busy street. No one offered to help me with these obstacles in the way.
LISA MThe vehicle was dirty - gunk on the consul and dashboard, leaves on the floor, trash in the door pockets. The van cargo bed liner had tears in it. Van ran fine and fit my needs for hauling. Service was friendly. The rate is really good for a day use plus mileage.

Mark STo start, I am not someone who complains. I reserved a truck for pickup at 8am. I arrived at 7:50. The store was not opened until 8:25 am. There were three other customers that were delayed as well. When I received my truck, it was a little less than half full. I drove the truck less than 15 miles total. I was told to bring it back with half a tank. I put 6 dollars in, which in CA gets a little over a gallon. I returned it with the same amount of gas as when I got it. I received my bill where I was charged for 5.5 gallons if gas at 6.25 a gallon. Almost 40 dollars. The staff was late. The staff was rude. And the staff ripped me off. Total BS. Moving sucks to begin with. This is crap.
