Attendant was kind of nice. Truck was clearly not cleaned nor sanitized thoroughly and properly, when I asked the attendant about it, he just said “we spray them” (whatever that means). I was very uncomfortable operating the unit as it was clear that the cleaning process and sanitizing of the truck was poor and way below average, that's just not acceptable during these difficult Covid times.

The customer service was really good, but the inside of the van (the GMC) was not clean, the seats were very dirty, with pet hair embedded. One could tell that nothing has been cleaned for a while, cargo, cab, dash...

If it wasn't for the office staff, I would have been FURIOUS. Your online check in process is beyond terrible. It took multiple tries and at least a half hour of me getting angrier and angrier that it wasn't working. I'm not sure why I had to type in my DL number AGAIN when I had already entered it during reservations. I had to take my face picture multiple times, each time wasn't good enough for your online agents. The only way to communicate was via email. I don't have push notifications set up, so I would have been standing there looking like an idiot. FIX YOUR PROCESS.

The van was relatively new, 2,600 miles, but smelled awful from a smoker. The interior smelled like an ashtray. It would be ideal if Uhaul enforced a strict no smoking policy.

truck was not clean especially the bed. caused my items to be dirty. truck ran rough (acceleration). even though, it only had <1500 miles on it. felt like transmission wasn't operating smoothly.

Do not lie to them. Do not promise a discount that you cannot supply. Do not condescend. When you make a mistake apologize to the customer and demonstrate transparency and an effort to correct the issue. Follow through. Communicate accurately. Act like you care and appreciate your customer's business. Make sure the mileage and gas depicted on the contract is correct. Engender trust!

I was provided with a broken Uhaul. The door fell off when trying to get out the driver's side. I would never recommend Uhaul to anyone moving forward. The fact that I was never offered a refund when I informed them I felt unsafe because it was not fir to drive, it appalling. The face that no one ever offered to come pick up in San Diego or allow me to drop off in San Diego unpon my request shows a lack of care for customer service.

You need a rewards program for people who do business with you frequently...such as myself. I spend lots of money with Uhaul but I'm always treated like just another nobody.

Include the "environmental fee" as part of your rental fee since it is as I am told nonnegotiable part of service if the vehicle. In addition you need to refund 1 day charge for me as I had the vehicle 2 days..The on-site rep acknowledged my return within the rental time frame - returned prior to 1045 am but return was processed in system at 11.23. The onsite rep adjusted the days out to be accurate at 2 days. But the " environmental fee" charged at $3.00. I would prefer UHaul refu d the entire charge as it appears to be a way to garner more $. The van was clean as when rented. Please refund at minimum $1.00. Thank you.

Shocked at the price! Also, I was told that we had to have the van back by 9 AM yet we were charged for an entire day. I was in such a rush to get the van back in time that I was unable to get gas which made it even more expensive. When I got to KISS storage to return the van - no one was even there -- SO WHY MAKE ME BRING IT BACK AT THAT TIME. It took until 9:15 for my ride to show up and the office was still closed at that time, so I could have gotten gas. I feel totally messed over!

The owner of the establishment, from the phone call, to the in person interaction was rude and unhelpful . He seemed irritated by my questions and when I asked for the address,audibly huffed on the phone with me before rattling it off quickly and pressuring me off of the phone . When I could not find the place, because it is not very visible and off of an alley, I called back again to get the same brush off and unfriendly tone. I was surprised by how unfriendly he was from the beginning, but when I arrived to Kiss Universal I received more of the same attitude at each of my questions about the rental and was told that "The less time he had to spend with me, the more money he would make". This is a very angry and unpleasant man. He charged me for insurance when I did not ask for it and treated me like I was beneath him . He does not positively represent UHAUL and does not display care for the costumers needs in the slightest. He made me feel like a nuisance and that treatment is what encourages to me to take my business elsewhere.

I had trouble using the Express Pick-Up -- I'd love to see if that feature could be bug-checked or better integrated into the U-Haul experience. When the office manager was not in during our drop-off time, however, the Self Check-out worked like a dream. Very impressed!

The manager Andrew Lemus was incredibly rude. I had to take a man important phone call and he was so rude and rushed me. I asked him if before I sign the paperwork can he go outside and examine the uhaul with me like I've done every single time for the last 3yrs when I use a uhaul and he refused. He said "you have insurance so it's fine" he argued with me and then finally he just did it. I not sure if he was so rude because he was having a bad day or because I am African-American. This morning when I got home and reviewed my contract via email I realized he over charged me! He charged me for 25miles rather than 20miles AND the .89 cents a mile rather than .69centa when I took the van not the huge truck. I'm so irritated and I've never had a bad experience like this in the three years I've used uhaul.
