I was charged+ $11 for gas after driving less than 10 miles. How does this even compute? Also I was not able to complete the vehicle pickup process until my location showed as “ at the location “ and was then asked for my lease document or my passport! Who travels with either and why would a homeowner have a lease document? My other two options were a call to my employer or someone who knows me. No employers or friends could or would possibly respond to an unknown call for verification immediately while I was parked in the street outside a uhaul location. I had to drive back home for my passport, (tried photographing it at home to no avail as I was “not at the locationâ€). then drive back to the uhaul location to photograph my passport which was then left in my parked car for the duration of the rental! Ridiculousness on a scale unheard of! Needless to say I am a customer lost - good luck!

SHAYLA C.There was no one there to give me the keys when I was scheduled to pick up the Van. I waited for more than an hour. The only reason someone showed up was because my wife thought to call the security company for that location and then they notified the management that then dispatched some one to the location. They were very apologetic and helped me and said there would be a discount on the bill. There was NO DISCOUNT. I had contractors waiting for me that had to hold their work because i was an hour and a half late. I've been very busy with a lot of other things that I'd rather not talk about and finally had the time to respond. NOT HAPPY! Not Happy at all. All I got was billed for time that I wasted waiting. NOT HAPPY!

I was very uncomfortable operating the unit as it was clear that the cleaning process and sanitizing of the truck was poor and way below average, that's just not acceptable during these difficult Covid times.

It took multiple tries and at least a half hour of me getting angrier and angrier that it wasn't working. I'm not sure why I had to type in my DL number AGAIN when I had already entered it during reservations. I had to take my face picture multiple times, each time wasn't good enough for your online agents. The only way to communicate was via email. I don't have push notifications set up, so I would have been standing there looking like an idiot. FIX YOUR PROCESS.

When you make a mistake apologize to the customer and demonstrate transparency and an effort to correct the issue. Follow through. Communicate accurately. Act like you care and appreciate your customer's business. Make sure the mileage and gas depicted on the contract is correct. Engender trust!

GORDAN S.I was provided with a broken Uhaul. The door fell off when trying to get out the driver's side. I would never recommend Uhaul to anyone moving forward. The fact that I was never offered a refund when I informed them I felt unsafe because it was not fir to drive, it appalling. The face that no one ever offered to come pick up in San Diego or allow me to drop off in San Diego unpon my request shows a lack of care for customer service.

In addition you need to refund 1 day charge for me as I had the vehicle 2 days..The on-site rep acknowledged my return within the rental time frame - returned prior to 1045 am but return was processed in system at 11.23. The onsite rep adjusted the days out to be accurate at 2 days. But the " environmental fee" charged at $3.00. I would prefer UHaul refu d the entire charge as it appears to be a way to garner more $. The van was clean as when rented. Please refund at minimum $1.00. Thank you.

I was in such a rush to get the van back in time that I was unable to get gas which made it even more expensive. When I got to KISS storage to return the van - no one was even there -- SO WHY MAKE ME BRING IT BACK AT THAT TIME. It took until 9:15 for my ride to show up and the office was still closed at that time, so I could have gotten gas. I feel totally messed over!
