Absolutely abhorrent. I was continuously harassed by the gentleman that rented me this truck after I went through the proper channels to have it towed as it was in pretty poor condition when rented to me. Evidently U-Haul doesn't communicate this to a given location for you so for the next two days my partner and I were harassed about the truck as if WE did something wrong. I will never use U-Haul services again.brandon R.
No one was at the location to help me. A 20 minute check out process actually took me an hour and a half. I do not recommend this location. It was a horrible experience. I went to the location to do all required paperwork two days in advance. I am highly disappointed in the service I received.Angela M.

The customers are being charged for mileage AND gas AND the rental. This is too much! If I'm already paying to rent a truck AND have to return it with the same amount of gas as I found it, I should NOT have to pay for mileage as well. I will think twice before I use u haul again.ALICIA A.

We changed our reservation, on the phone with UHaul, from 4 to 6 hours. UHaul booked out then truck to another customer based on a 4 hour return instead of 6. It was impossible for us to get the truck back in time. I was told by a UHual Customer service rep that it was UHauls fault but she still had to charge me an extra $56 to keep it 6 hours. THEN the movers we booked through the UHaul website did not show up and when I contacted them they said they were going to be 4 hours LATE. We cancelled them and rounded up family to help us move. We were an hour and a half late returning the truck because of this.Michael R.

I believe that the mileage was there a off. How did I travel 87 miles when I didn't go anywhere but Clayton and Smithfield not even 12 minutes apart? 157$ for what? I will never rent a U-Haul ever!!Shanita W.

The vehicle that I rented did not have a good battery. I had to pay a roadside driver to charge up the battery to return the vehicle. He accompanied me back to u-haul to make sure the vehicle was returned which was a good thing, thank goodness. I couldn't put the usage of gas in the vehicle for fear of the vehicle not restart! So, I did not want the hassle of waiting for what can be hours for u-haul services. As such, I returned the vehicle in the morning long before the 5PM due time. I mentioned this to the manager at the u-haul location. He said I've should've called the "1-800" number for service but I did not have enough time to move my customer. This was a real big inconvenience! I've use u-haul in the past and NEVER had any troubles with u-haul, until now! Big inconvenience! I would like to speak to someone in corporate about this isssue ASAP! Is this how u-haul treats its valued customers? Not good a business practice! PLUS, the rear of the vehicle was dirty as if someone resided inside the vehicle as a resident. I had to clear out (which I shouldn't have) the rear of the truck just so to load the customers items. The vehicle has numerous scratches, scraps, and dings to what looks like body damage on the rear of the vehicle. At this point I will take my business elsewhere. This location out of 5 stars gets a 1 star in my opinion for the lack of preventive maintenance services on their vehicles. And the lack careing of customers grievances by management.Tyrese P.

Owner didn't do a pre check of the vehicle when I picked it up. I had to beg him to come out and check the vehicle in when I returned it. Having been a uhaul dealer, I don't see how the AFM allows this place to operate. Very rude and poor customer service.ANTHONY M.

DO NOT AND I MEAN DO NOT!!! DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION. THE TRUCKS ARE DIRTY, NASTY, NOT CLEAN, RUNS ROUGH, THE ARAB GUY WHO OWNS THE HOTEL BUT RENTS UHAULS WILL CHARGE DOUBLE IF YOU CHECK OUT WITH HIM â€¦ HES A CROOK A LIAR THIS HOTEL IS FOR PROSTITUTION DRUGS AND HOMELESS PPL THATS WHY HE KEEPS HIS DOORS LOCKS, HE CHARGE ME FOR TWO DAYS WHEN I RETURNED THE TRUCK 4 hours early THE NEXT DAY, HE STOLE MY MONEY BASICALLY AND LIED TO UHAUL SAYING I GAVE HIM THE KEY AY 1:30 WHEN I HAVE PICS OF ME RETURNING THE TRUCK AT 10:35amâ€¦ HE GOT UPTIGHT AND RUDEâ€¦ UHAUL REFUND MY MONEY BUT IM STILL TAKING LEGAL ACTION BC HE LIED, THEN CALLED THE POLICE ON ME.. Fuel: Have everyone FILL the tank before returning it. I got a truck that has 3/4 tank full when I picked it up and was told to bring it back 3/4 full. It's pretty hard to judge how much fuel is needed to bring it back to 3/4. I ended up putting in more fuel then I needed because of that. Had it just been FULL, I could have avoided paying for more fuel then I had needed to. This was my only issue. Otherwise Sam was GREAT!!NANCY B.

U- Haul did not do well with our reservation! We had to drive 1hr from our home to get the U-haul. We reserved it over a week prior to our move. They cancelled our reservation the night before and only sent a text at 9:45 p.m. to notify us of the change. I had to call customer service more than 3 times for only a one day rental. I would not recommend U-haul in the future.JUSTIN H.

The first truck i was put in the tires were bald and the back was full of roaches. The man ended with putting me in a bigger truck and i was supposed to get a refund that i never received. His attitude was ugly and i will never do business at this location again.YASCHIA R.
Service your vehicles. I had a truck with no oil. Oil light coming on. I had to add 3 quarts and it was still low. Uhaul is lucky I did what I did otherwise you almost had a seized engine.John F.

For some reason, UHAUL moved my pickup location 15 miles from my town and asked me to pick up a truck at essentially a crack house motel off of I-95. Then UHAUL charged me for the additional mileage. I would never recommend this location. It is dangerous and disgusting.JOHN Y.

I specifically reserved the trailer and did not want the eight dollar extra safe tow charge. Somehow this was snuck back in and my card was supposed to be pre-authorized for $60 and now the transaction is showing complete and processed for $60. My receipt shows that I should have paid for one day rental of a 5 x 8 trailer and this is less than half of what I have been charged so no I am not happy. Also the charge does not show U-Haul it shows Knights inn Selma, NC. I do not trust this place now and it gives U-Haul a bad nameJoseph H.

I had an absolute horrible and disgusting experience with the representative from location I picked up the UHAUL. The representative was rude, unhelpful, and dubiously called law enforcement on me and my family. In the political and social atmosphere we are in, the situation left a traumatic experience for me and my family as as African Americans. I'm still debating on posting the interaction on social media. Also, while returning the UHAUL, the representative was very rude and treated me like a dog, which I was in the phone with UHAUL's traffic office (who stayed on the phone with me during the interaction) at the time of the of the ineraction. As a combat Vet of who honorably served in the USMC and on so many other grounds, this was absolutely unacceptable.demetrius W.

The mileage used was incorrect. It was odd that the clerk recorded a different mileage upon my return. He told me I must have gone somewhere else other than specified. I most certainly did not, and I was over charged because of it. I will never use this location's services again, nor refer a friend. Very disatisfiedkesha G.

On one of the hottest day of the year the truck had no ac. Had no time to get another truck. So had to bare it. Then when getting on the interstate it the front end was bouncing like a basketball being dribbling. Also my mattress in the front got wet guessing a leak. I guess my impression of uhaul maintenance has been tarnished. Also don't think this is the fault of the place I rented but he kept saying the computer was slow so it took about 30 mins to check out. In 6 months when moving again I well have to think long and hard before renting a uhaul or some other truck.Edward P.
