I want to be very clear about this: Krueger's is a TREASURE and I have Zero Issues with its role in my vehicle rental. However, working with U-Haul organization was the worst business experience I can recall in my entire life. Allow me to be VERY specific ... 1. On 9/19, I go online and reserve a 10' truck for pickup in Neenah on 9/24, which will be driven one-way and dropped off in Madison, WI. I have the paperwork to confirm this. 2. On the afternoon of 9/23, I receive an email saying my truck will be ready for pickup in Fond du Lac, Wis., which is a 90-minute round trip from my home. What the heck! This isn't feasible. 3. Having ignored my first reservation, I now make a second reservation, and have to adjust my plan. My new reservation says I pick up in Neenah on 9/24 with a round trip return of the vehicle to the same location on 9/25. I have paperwork confirming this. 4.) On the morning of 9/24, I check my reservation and it's only for FOUR HOURS on 9/24! What the hell! My second reservation has been completely ignored. 5.) I call U-Haul (transferred twice) and I'm told I can now either take a 15' truck (which will cost me more and I'm uncomfortable driving) OR I can change my moving plans for a THIRD time. Despite having paperwork to show that my reservation was ignored, these are my only options. 6.) I now have to pick up a 10' truck on 9/25 with a return of no later than 9/26. This one FINALLY works out. Comedian Jerry Seinfeld once did a bit about how the issue isn't "taking reservations," it's about "KEEPING RESERVATIONS." This was one of the most frustrating weeks of my life because TWICE my reservations (w/ receipts) were simply ignored. I was offered no compensation or a reduction in cost for the sheer number of times I had my reservations IGNORED, no apology, no cooperation. It was the most poorly run, poorly managed business I can honestly remember having to deal with. A nightmare from start to finish. Kruegers = A+ , U-Haul = D A nightmarish week.AVRAHAM S.

Cost was the key factor here. $80 to move my Mom from Neenah to Kimberly and a random extra $21.00 that wasn't explained. $100+ for two trips, not worth it. I love Neenah Kruegers but renting a Uhaul from there, not something I plan to do again.Brad R.

You're so eager to rent these out that you don't check them over before re-renting them. The cargo box smelled like stale beer. Their were crumpled up kleenex behind the center seat. I was charged more than quoted. I was quoted $39.95 and was charged $79. I had the truck back on time and had to wait in line until after 9 to turn it in.Anthony P.

The van's alignment was significantly off. In order to steer straight the steering wheel had to be at 340-350 degrees. It was stressful on crowded interstates and in construction zones.Jeff H.

When I ask for a 16 foot truck I expect to get one NO EXCUSES! Pretty difficult putting 12 foot poles in a 10' truck!!!!!!! Even at an angle, which turned into a mess when we tried to open the back end. UgghJim W.
When I picked up my trailer the tire as flat. I got no help and was inning behind. I had to go to a different location and wait for over an hour to get 2 tires replacedDoug B.

First of all when you come in 1 1/2 weeks before the rental and then told that they don't have the rental available it gets a bit annoying especially when your already stressed out. All these calls and texts from u haul are a bit over the top also. Your trying to be helpful but your not.Jim W.

Return of truck should be easier. My locations settings was on but it still would not work, so I took pictures just on my phone to cover my butt, but don't know how to submit, so a lot of extra time was added to my rental even tho it was parked at return location.Elizabeth J.

The truck was ready and we'll maintained and the staff was friendly but it came with a half drank water bottle and a sweaty hat. Put 50 miles on and put 7.5 gal in so either it gets 6 mpg or the tank wasn't all the way full.Pat S.
Was told there was a full tank of gas. Was just touching the â€œFâ€. Definitely not all the way filled. When I put gas in to fill it it went past the â€œFâ€ all the way to the line after. I filled it all the way up so I wouldn't be charged. The inside way slightly dirty and had a dirty odor to it. Otherwise, I had a good overall experience using U-Haul.jessica T.

Vehicle was not check over by Krueger's regarding whoever used the van before us. The were some covering/tarps all over the back of the van and the van had not been swept out. The worst problem was that the van reeked. We had to wash the mat, spray disinfectent and air the van out for several hours before we could use. We wil have to check other providers for future needs.Maria B.
In general my experience was positive. The only critical feedback I'd have is that I needed to wait ~15 minutes when I picked up the trailer as it appeared the store was understaffed. To be fair it was Friday afternoon, but that's the one item that kept me from rating "Excellent"JEREMY O.

Make sure you train the employees the proper way to explain the financial part more clearly. I was confused and got user because of the way they said the total. Someone else had to give better explanation of it.Karen K.

Keep some kind of register what trailers you have available. This time I never got trailer I reserved and paid. Hard to understand that crew member behind the U-haul desk doesn't know what trailer's are returned and what are still on going !Juhani L.

It always takes so long to get someone to come to the uhaul counter in the store. I always have to wait at least 10-15 minutes standing there after they have finally paged for the attendant to come. They arent busy with other uhaul rentals.Andrew G.

I reserved 2 furniture dollies. After waiting in line for a half hour for the slow kid working to rent a trailer to 1 other person in front of me I finally got my keys, went to truck, no dollies at all inside but trash from previous renter... I went back in, waited 20 more minutes to ask where dollies are...kid goes in back n comes back 15 more minutes later with 1 n says that's all he can find but will take 1 off my contract.... So now I lost well over an hr of my rental time n moving time but to top it off, I was still charged for 2 furniture dollies!!! I really needed 2 but had to make my move alot more difficult with only 1. People are nice at Kruegers but dumb and super slow.Dustin H.
