CARLOS AService with this U-Haul location was excellent. The man at the check in/out counter was polite, understanding and very helpful. He had everything ready and made the process very easy. (The only thing I'd suggest to add is to let the customers know ahead of time, that the cab step is quite high for those with limited step-up ability and they should ask to use the step-stool to help getting into the cab. As it was, a step-stool was quickly provided and steadied to help us climb into the cab safely). Also appreciated was the list of moving helpers to choose from if needed. That helped streamline the whole process. Overall, the whole move was a success from reserving the truck, checking out, moving, and returning it at the end. Thanks, U-Haul.

Jaimi HThe process to get the truck before they opened was so complicated and unclear. I had no idea what was going on most of the time. No range of time that it would take, I didn't know until I got a call, that you would need two people to verify via phone. Then I was told only one, then two....it was so unclear and unhelpful.

BRIAN SThe pick-up location I requested was not available—I was notified the day before my trip—so I had to go to one that was about 10 miles further from my destination. But because I didn’t change the projected mileage on my order, it ended up showing an additional 20 miles, which I was billed for. Shouldn’t I have gotten a credit for the extra mileage, since it was U-Haul’s fault?
ROBERT PIt was quick and efficient. The customer service rep was friendly and helpful, made the whole process easy. I was in and out in ten minutes.
Thom TThe vehicle was very dirty outside. The windows were so bad I had to go to ma gas station and wash them before driving very far. The vehicle mechanically was good and performed well.

ROBERTO ATruck had 135k mikes on it- which is a lot! I drove it less than 15 miles. According to the guy who works there and anyone familiar with this type of uhaul, this truck should get at least 8 miles per gallon? I drove it less than 15 miles, flat driving no idling- yet uhaul charged me for 3 gallons- indicating the truck gets less than 5 miles per gallon!! I was over charged by at least 1 gallon, which is over 50% for gas. If uhaul charges over 50% what they legally should for gas- This is a gauging of its clients and a potential class action lawsuit!!! Uhaul owes me $6.25- that you overcharged me! I don’t need the mo ey- but corporate greed has gone unchecked!!!! And please review this ride and explain yourself !!!!!

ROBERTO ANeed warning about the latch. If you don’t fully lock it in place before rolling up the door it will get jammed into the roof. Thankfully I had a flat head screwdriver to unjam it
ROBERT VThis was no fault of the location itself, but this was the single worst rental experience I’ve ever had. Made a reservation for a 15’ truck and called the day before and told only a 10 was available. I was given an extra day, but even after telling them I would have to make two trips because of the size, I ended up being charged an extra $220 for the milage. The woman I spoke to just didn’t care. I will never rent from U-Haul again, and will spread the word about this experience because this was absolutely unacceptable. And no one seemed to care.

Julian CTight area for maneuvering a trailer. Glad I’m experienced. Did not have the dolly that I added on during the check out process. Had to pay for the larger appliance one. Guys were helpful.

Alan DEverything was fine - the only comment I have is that the U-haul wasn't washed before I picked it up and I assume that's because I picked up the truck right as the previous user dropped it off. There were a bunch of bugs splatted over the front of the vehicle - it honestly wasn't that much of a problem, but it did cross my mind as I was driving and wondered if I needed to clean it before I returned it and thought maybe I would be charged if I didn't.

TOM LConsistency is the key - the folks at the Laguna Canyon location are exceptional, but not all locations for u haul are.
