When I reserved the truck I was NEVER told there was a 99 cent / mile charge. When I picked up the truck I was NOT told there was a 99 cent / mile charge. I Never signed any form of rental agreement that stated there was a 99 cent / mile charge.In fact, I never signed any type of form or agreement. Why does U-haul use hidden charges to steal money from their customers? You should be ashamed.DANIEL S.

I used the mobile pickup/return and had some problems with it. When picking up, the site wouldn't accept my photo upload and kept sending me back to the beginning of the process. It finally accepted it but it took about 6+ tries. When returning, again the site wouldn't accept my photo upload and I was glad the location office was open so I could bypass the mobile process and just turn in my key. It was very frustrating. In the future I will avoid using the mobile process if at all possible.Aurora M.

Spent 30 minutes trying to check out the truck on the app. Being charged per mile and for gas is ridiculous. Truck tires, suspension or something need maintained. Very rough driving vehicleSteve N.

This is the second time I payed for something and never received it. The truck was dirty, and drive horrible. When I parked the truck and went through the whole process of dropping off the vehicle, some guy told me i will be charged $40 for parking in the only spot available, also in the same area where I found my truck. So I had to relocate the truck to the other side of the parking lot to avoid a fee that I did not know about. Not happy, again.Noah H.
It is unfair to rate my experience on one location since in my recent move I kept getting switched to different locations. In Virginia I was trying to get the Hampton location and got switched to Norfolk and my truck still wasn't ready, they had to go to Chesapeake to pick it up and it made me late for the movers. In Ohio I got switched from one Mentor location to the other last minute, saying that the forts location was closed for the weekend. Why didn't they tell me that when I stopped by on Friday checking on my reservation for Monday. I've used haul for a long time I guess I'll have to start using Penske.Dennis H.

When I returned it, clerk still says 40 min. Rest to be checked in, needed to be sanitized, 20 minutes minimal. My truck was not cleaned or sanitized when I picked it up at 930 am. As I was leaving, she was going out to check back in a pickup truck returned earlier, as someone else was going to rent it. No cleaning fluid, no wipes, just the contract. Left the pickup, and proceeded to my truck, checking it in. All in 10 min. I guess I just don't understandJAMES N.

I ordered the truck for a 24 hour pick up, I arrived at the facility at 7AM for my pick up time and was not able to pick up my truck. I had to come back to the facility when they opened at 10AM and was informed that they knew that I wouldn't have a truck available at 7AM, but no one called and let me know that. When I asked them why they didn't call and tell me, they said that's no their job, it's U-Haul's. Last I checked they were the U-Haul representative in the area. When they finally gave me the truck I was informed that I would only be able to use the truck until 11:30 because another customer had it at noon. So I paid for a 1/2 day rental and was only able to use the truck from 10AM to 11:30AM. Seems like a pretty unorganized and unprofessional operation to me. The truck it self was fine, but the service and experience was the worst I have ever had.ELLIOT C.

I have used uhaul many times over the past 10.years without issue. This time, I rented a van, which was a couple years old with less than 20k miles. The van was filthy, smelled like wet dog and both my son and myself were bit on the ankles by fleas. I rented from uhaul as my son was moving into an apartment for college. The vehicle itself was very clean. They even sanitized it for us without asking. Vehicle feels like it needs maintenance though. Any speed over 40mph like freeway it shakes really bad. Like a bearing or something but overall absolutely wonderful experience.April B.
