Cell phone service was bad so I could not take pictures of the vehicle to download for rental and return.
Fred RLess paper work or something simpler. It took close to an hr to rent the trailer. The program for my drivers license kept timing out or saying need to submit again. As well as other information that had been entered several times

ALVIN T | Overall ExperienceThe manager was very sweet so no complaints there. However, I feel it's wrong that I had to hook up the trailer. I am a single woman that was not expecting such. Luckily I tow an 23 ft travel trailer. Howeve, a different story when the trailer does not have a trailer jack. Although I was able to do so using my car jack it was very unexpected, time consuming and a bit unsettling.

Hollis CI dropped off trailer on Sunday morning and attempted to use app for self-check in. App was down Website is NOT user-friendly Call Lake Gaston Mini Storage on Monday morning and spoke with Lucy(?) and did check in over phone. She was super helpful and friendly!
James SThe online equipment check-out experience was fine and without any real issues. The return process was quite frustrating. The website could not 'detect' that my location was accurate and would not allow me to proceed with the return process. Carol - at Lake Gaston Mini Storage however, resolved all the issues and made the rental process amazing!

SHERRIKA F | Overall Experienceif you have a weak phone service the auto check in does not work. U-haul needs to come up with a better way to check in, in case customer does not have phone service at the location pick up.
GARY BHaving to use your phone in a area with very Poor service made it a long process. It took me 45mins to do the truck return. Being a woman and at night was very uncomfortable. Also with the gas indicator not being clear on the dash I overfill 1/4 tank. With the Gas prices in this area at 3.59 a gallon I feel I should be credited for the extra gas.
Donna WI didn’t appreciate that my storage was locked on the 1st when I went to go move my things out and that the lady working had a nasty attitude I didn’t appreciate any of that and I called law enforcement. Invading someone’s privacy is against the law and I will never do business with y’all ever again. If you’re going to conduct a business do it properly in a respectful manner. Just down right wrong what she did

Victoreya HAs soon as it changed management it went downhill to the point we could no longer handle the level of disrespect we were receiving after being a customer of over 6 years. That is reason we moved out of our unit.
RICHARD L | Overall ExperienceIssues with gate not working numerous times. Unable to access facility often due to gate being locked. Gate was left open and unattended overnight at one point. Phone calls were often not answered. A red lock was placed on my unit for several days even though I was on autopay and never late with payment.

JAMESEDMUND TI needed more blankets,only got 7 out of 24...otherwise was told nect customer needed truck next day at 10am, but truck had to be back by 915a,but didnt mater as my booked uhaul unload helpers never showed up,said they were double booked??, then next day showed up an hour late causing my truck return impossible and certainly not my fault! contact me to discuss further as no payment until resolved,thus pending...Mr. Finley Rose

James TAt one point I had to request several time for the weeds and huge mounds of ants to be addressed in front of one of the units I rented. Have called more than once when gate has broken and wide open. The gate is currently broken and will not close.

mike e | Overall ExperienceKnow you had no control with Covid but during it on line was not the easiest for us old folks. Very thankful that when I picked the truck up the woman was there that helped me. She was very nice.
LEWIS PCan never understand why you can never give us a firm yes or no that we will have what we ordered on the date we need it at the location we need it. We deliver voting equipment and waiting until the day before, makes it very difficult. We always order at least a month ahead. I believe this was our 11th time and it has always worked out but not without many last minute worries.

James TI dropped it off when the location was not open. Turns out I dropped off at the wrong location. I was supposed call before leaving it. Jill at UHaul corporate helped straighten out the drop off and close the reservation. She handled it well and adjusted the account.

DANNY CLake Gaston Mini Storage did not release our reservation as a mobile pick up even after they called me and confirmed that it was 2 days prior to pick up. On day of pick up the mobile app did not work so I called U-Haul. After 3 phone calls and 1 hour later we were able to pick up the U-Haul. This was with absolutely NO help from Lake Gaston Mini Storage. I left them a message on the day of pick up. Have not heard a word back from them. Just a quick call with an apology would have kept me from writing this review. Moving is stressful enough but to lose an hour after confirming this U-Haul well in advance was quite annoying. We need to rent a U-Haul again in two weeks. We will be looking for a more professional dealer.

John NWhen I picked up the trailer I asked if there was any way to get a couple of extra days. I was moving my wife, myself and 3 kids half way across the country. I was assured that the trailer was due on the other end on the 9th. When I dropped the trailer off on the 8th, I was charged an additional UNEXPECTED charge of $40 for having it 2 extra days.
