The truck rental was in horrible condition. There was dog food inside with cigarette ashes. The passenger door was covered in puke. The tank was completely empty upon pick up. Worst experience I have ever had. Even renting the truck was very unprofessional. The employee has no idea how to properly rent me the vehicle and clearly the vehicle was not inspected before I rented it. I took a picture of the vehicle condition prior to rental. However in the application it only allows for 1 photo in the condition section. After dropping off the vehicle the app asks me if the vehicle is clean for the next person to rent it. If I select no I am charged for the previous persons disgusting puke. I was forced to select yes as clean so I was not charged to the previous persons mess. This section should have a comment box where I could have explained how gross this vehicle was to me previously renting. I would like to hear back so I know you have read how poorly my experience was ThanksKYLE M.

U-Haul should close down this as as U-haul location! They don't follow recommended Co-Vid precautions or show respect to their customers. We were berated throughout our interactions and after several problems created by this location, we had to speak with several U-Haul reps over the phone. Based on those phone conservations, this location definitely does not follow U-haul's customer service and co-vid safety protocols.Scott S.

Rented us a car hauler with back lights not working... price was quoted us over the phone at 25 per day... went to rent it and found out it was 75... took forever to get paper work done....LYNNE T.

Actually, the rental experience was frustrating. I was to pick up a 10 foot truck on Friday evening. On Thursday I received an email telling me my 26 foot truck would be available mid afternoon on Saturday. Not good. I called the 905 number provided but was told repeatedly that nothing could be done about the size of the truck. I was also given the address for the pickup but no phone number so I drove to the address Friday morning just to confirm the 4:30 pickup. The woman I spoke to knew nothing about the rental. I returned at 4:30 and the young man at the location also knew nothing about the rental. He made several phone calls to local people and eventually called the 905 number and forty five minutes after my arrival at the location, I received keys. The employees of the trucking company were not informed or trained on Uhaul protocol. This should not have happened. I gave the details here of this experience so that the situation can be rectified and future customers don't experience the same frustrations. I would appreciate a response from you.karen S.

My fuel was less than half a tank and returned less than half a tank and got billed 137$ for less than an 8thJeese P.
The woman that was processing my pick-up was horrible. She was not helpful at all. She yelled at me because she got confused about which rental contract I want to pick-up. Eventually, she gave me the keys and left for lunch. I went outside and realized the truck is stuck in snow. So I had to find some help to bring it out because it was her 'lunch' time and she wanted nothing to do with work. This type of personnel are really bad for your business. I definitely recommend you look into this.Kaveh M.
Trailer exterior was extremely dirty and area where I had to get it wasn't cleared of snow. WISH I COULD POST MY PICTURES TO PROVE IT!! I asked if they could spray wash it.. RESPONSE: We don't do that!!!! So I had to pay and get it done so I wouldn't get dirty when I was to load it. NOT IMPRESSED!!!!Michael P.

Well when I got there they said they did not have a truck for me. I had already reserved one. Then they said yes they had one. It took me 45 minutes to do the paper work as system kept failing. Lakeway trucking is a truckers part and hauling site. The owner and its workers not the uhaul lady used the f bomb several times and were yelling g at each other for truck hauling issues unrelated to uhaul. I felt like I was a bother. Maybe the uhaul needs to be in another area away from the hub of the trucker service part. Just sayingLaurie I.
It's a uhaul, and some idiot at the HQ over booked. i booked a truck a month in advance. and they gave my truck to someone that booked AFTER me. luckily i called a few days prior tp my pickup dates and found this out because no one called me. the problem was resolved by giving me a larger truck. In the end I ended up spending a lot more in gas than the discounted rate i was given. TLDR; Location GOOD, Corporate BADWILL T.
Training. Treat customer with respect. Explain the time of return. Very dirty place to go into. Trucks are very old no ammenities for example crank windows. No cruise control. I am going to be moving across Canada in the spring I will not ever rent from u haul againSusan R.

It took me 2 hours to get my rental, and I was first in line. Was told to pickup at 8AM, when I got to the location they said the person doesn't start until 8:30. At 8:30 no one was there and didn't show up until almost 9. Then after fumbling trying to figure out the computer and system for another hour, they finally gave me the keys to a truck and told me to leave without signing anything. My father had to sit back for another half hour and sign things. My dolly's Weren't in the truck nor were the furniture pads. My dad grabbed them, but they only gave 10 pads, not the requested 24. And when I got all done apparently they gave me the wrong truck and they couldn't complete the transaction until mine was returned at another depot. VERY Dissatisfied with Lakeway Truck Center location! I want a discount for my time wasted and for not even getting the equipment I paid for.Jordan D.

Charged twice for my rental because the agent "couldn't remember" if they did the return. When I went in to ask about it they had the wrong truck, wrong milage, and wrong fuel level entered. Then they tried saying I returned it yesterday (July 25th) but I returned it on July 20th. I called uhaul and they said the charge has been reversed but we will see...AARON H.

The doors had plenty of wind coming throw so bad it hurt your ears by the end of the trip . Was lied to about the price and they didn't even ask for a drivers license. Had to wait a half hour for someone to get off break told by the person I was directed to. Then was told I should have said something as clearly the message I was waiting wasn't passed forward. Once the processes started, it didn't take long. The truck wasn't dirty but was covered in snow and almost got stuck getting out of its parking lot.Kasey V.

Very disappointed with uhaul on the availability of the booked and guaranteed truck that we wanted. Two days before rental date I was told that I would not be able to get that truck. A hard date that has to be met puts me in a situation that was very stressful. I think if a contract is made it should be honoured. On my part if I don't fulfill the agreement of the contract I would be charged extra. If I need to rent again I would not use uhaul as my first choice.DAN R.

Check your bill, see if you are owed a refund if you paid cash... almost left without mine. Great location though, right off the TCH and for me, I had business across the road so it was perfect. Nice staff, no problems there, the person who does the rental stuff was away so the other person had to figure it all out but no big deal.jeremie G.

It was pouring rain when we arrived to drop off the car trailer. Went inside to inform them and ask for some help. 3 men just stood there and laughed! I was very insulted! Took another turn of coming in to ask for help before anyone bothered to come out. Will not use this location again if I have the need to rent a truck.Angela K.
this whole uhaul experience was trash, the only reason i went through the company was because it was the only rental service that offered one-way transportation. i had to remake a contract from scratch with someone who had no idea what he was doing because my previous contract was booked for the wrong country and instead of telling me there was an issue with my credit card, they were very vague as to why i had to wait until the next day to book a truck that i had already reserved, i spent so much time on the damn phone, i coulda opened my own call centerJOSH M.

Was very impressed with how they handled the situation we ran into . My trailor didn't make it on time to the pick up site from the previous renter, so I was made aware and told they will find another one in the city for me. I was contacted by the location that didn't have the trailer saying they would fix the problem,I was contacted by head office saying they were aware of the problem and will do anything to fix it as well, and then I was contacted by the location that did indeed have the correct trailer. As well was offered a free month storage. Was very pleased with the whole situation.Nicole L.
Your customer representative was nice. Your U-Haul system (program) is terrible! It took him about two hours to fill out the contract to give me the truck.. even with phone support is was terrible. Get the poor guy a system that works.. for nearly 1300.00 this was not exceptable.. cannot recommend uHaul at this time...Mitch H.

Our drop off destination changed last minute to this location, the customer service was excellent and although the system was trying to charge us a significant amount of over mileage (when we were still in the limit allowed) the person helping was able to get it waived and the return went good overall! I would definitely recommend this location to a friend for a uhaul!Alex K.
Worst experience ever! U-Haul representatives over promise and under deliver. It's no fault of Lakeway Truck Centre rather the agent from Propane Plus Dawna Dauphinais who essentially lied! Moving kids back to university is tough enough, dealing with your company and those you allow to represent you is a disgrace.AL S.

this is a new rental agency the computer system was not working well, the clerk did not have much of a background with this system. it took 1.5 hrs to finally get to where | had the paper work for the trailer They sent me out to hook up. after hooking up and I did my circle check I was missing tail light on right side, so back to office. this took another hour to correct from the rental shop to the vehicle was approx. 40 km, I would have to transport said vehicle 7km and then return trailer to rental agency once arriving at vehicle I discovered it would not fit on trailer, this was a surprise as it was with a U-Haul trailer that I took it there in the first place one month before (I assumed all trailers were the same width) over all it was a wasted afternoon in time and money bottom line , don,t be hard on the folks at the rental agency, give them some quality training and education on the equipment they are renting so the next customer has a better experienceERNIST M.
