I returned on Saturday, they failed to check it in, and called me on Thursday wondering where the truck was. They found it, but charged me for extra days. I finally got them to credit the money back. Poor customer service, multiple phone calls.
Joy BWe had to wait an extra 15 hours to get our uhaul, but no discount was offered. Then, when we picked it up, it seemed like we were a burden. The gentleman didn't show us anything about the truck or where it is was parked. We had to find it on our own, and this was the owner of Lanning. The truck smelled of cigarettes and it was a rough ride. This was the worst experience we have EVER had with uhaul and refuse to use you all again. We would rather carry the stuff on our backs than deal with this madness again.

CJ RWas charged an additional $15+ for fuel. I put fuel in truck and it was the same place on gauge as when I picked it up. Also charged a $25 cleaning fee which I feel is incorrect. Truck was swept. Contacted U-Haul customer service and told it will be 3 days before I get a response. That is unacceptable.
Greg BI dropped of at this location early in the morning, however, later in the day I received a bill for $165!!!!! OUTRAGEOUS! I called and asked for why I was charged $100 for the “cleaning” and they said it was because there were foot prints in the U-Haul. Footprints?!?! It was dark out so I didn’t see any footprints, but apparently they said there were. That is ridiculous to be charged $100 for FOOTPRINTS! We are moving in snow, rain, and ice….there are going to be a couple footprints in the end of the U-Haul! But what’s worse is I was also charged a $30 fuel fee and for 3 gallons of gas. I filled the gas tank with 9 gallons of gas before returning it. There were 88 miles left on the range. The gas station was 5 miles away from the U-Haul drop of….I wasn’t even given a quarter of a tank when I picked it up. The person who I spoke with on the phone about all these charges was not helpful in the slightest. They gave me no discount and just said j had to take it up with the Indianapolis U-Haul not them and tried to pas the buck. I will be continually filing complaints and giving poor ratings to these locations from now on. I will never recommend u-haul to anyone else. It was an awful experience from the mobile check in process to the final bill. U-Haul only cares about how much they can nickel and dime you and not the customer. Shame on you for taking advantage of people moving during times of stress.

GREGORY HOn the unit i rented, i don't know if it was my brake controller in my truck or the trailer, but i didn't have any brakes on the trailer. Just wanted you to know, but as i said it could have been the controller in my truck not working. thanks

JACK FThe two men that were working when I dropped the truck off were rude, and didn’t give me a chance to speak. So I took the rest of my business elsewhere (storage unit through a different company).
LENZY HThe devices are good, the location is excellent. Customer service is not the best, when I went to deliver the trailer, I had to wait a long time before someone helped me. I even had to go into the workshop to ask for someone to help me. That would be something that would improve.
Anderson GWent to pick up U-Haul that was reserved over a week in advance. Wasn’t there. Waited for 45 minutes. No show. Had to settle for smaller truck.

russell bEverything went very well. They were extremely accommodating in working with me when I needed to make a couple of changes. I did have trouble using the app on my iPhone 8. Thinking the issue was the older phone.

Glenn MTrailer had a serious safety issue. Trailer slammed forward and backward on acceleration or braking. Appears the brake fluid leaked out and there were no trailer brakes. I called the regional UHaul person shown at the desk at Lannings and left a message but he never called back. I called 1-800-Uhaul on Monday and was told someone would call me in 3 days. I haven't heard anything from anyone. I rent a car hauler at least 4 times per year and am expecting better service than this.
John MThis was a convenient place to drop off. The only glitch was the uhaul website was not working for check-in, but Lanning took care of check-in for me in the morning...
Gene MThe truck ran a bit rough and someone had left cigarette package in truck. We didn’t use all the mileage we were charged. Forgot to get gas and that’s fine we were charged but $40 is excessive I feel like especially when we didn’t get out mileage we didn’t use up back. Will not rent U-Haul again. To move in town it should be so much.
Katrina AUnfortunately we were charged for a appliance dolly ($10), utility dolly ($3) and furniture pads ($5). We assumed they were inside the trailer but they were not. So we were charged for equipment that we never received.
David PThere was some trouble with the transmission at the start of the rental - truck reluctant to move out of 1st gear, however, it seemed to go away once warmed up. Otherwise, everything went well.

Luis AI returned the truck clean. Sweep the truck out well. When I asked to see the photo I was told someone higher up would have to send it to me. I requested to be contacted. I was scammed. I would like to check the photo's metadata to see when and where it was taken. I could not recommend U-Haul.
Robin CHave someone with you to check if it is clean before you leave. I was charged cleaning fee of $25. I rented the truck for about an hour to bring new carpet from menards to my home, less than 15 miles. It was sunny day and I was the only driving it. There were few mud dots under passenger seat before I took it, they charged me for that dirts which was not my fault
SURYA TPerson who rang my purchase at the site was hostile and not the best in customer service. I used this site since it was closer to my new home but will definitely not be returning and go to my regular site a bit further from my home.

Michael GI was surprised to learn there was a $20 after hours service fee when I returned the trailer on a Sunday when they were closed. I don’t mind paying it. It would be helpful to know that I would be charged extra.
Willard DI was charged for a cleaning fee when the truck was dirty the day I rented it. I told the cs rep (on the phone) how dirty the truck was. But was still charged a cleaning fee.

Paul WThe door was not a tight fit making a lot of wind noise, dash was cracked and vibrating, the head liner was cut, torn and hanging down, truck would vibrate and highway speeds, drivers seat was badly torn.
