Stuart MNot a huge issue, but I needed pads and they had none. Called a 2nd location- they had none. Finally found a location in Indy that had what I needed. Easy check in; newer truck, very clean.

ERICK FThis location bills erroneous charges- charging for fuel upon return when there was more fuel on return than was in the vehicle upon start of trip. 2 same size vehicles rented went the same distance & interestingly enough- billed for 2 different fuel charges. This is the second time this same location charged for erroneous charges on rentals . I will NEVER recommend this location. Clerk did not check the vehicle in on return, just took my keys & said you are good, vehicle not checked in for 1hour 30 minutes + later. Poor customer service. U-Haul this is disgraceful to treat your customers like this- something needs to be done.
STELLA JThe clerk took my keys , did not look at the vehicle, charged me for fuel erroneously. Vehicles were returned with more fuel than I started with. 2 vehicles rented, filled up at start of trip, went the same exact distance, yet charged for fuel & 2 different amounts. Someone needs to explain that to me! This is the second time this same location charged me for charges that were false. Someone needs to investigate this place. I would NEVER recommend this location to anyone! I want the charges erroneously charged refunded. Time to contact my attorney.

Dustin HWhen I returned the truck on 02/21/25, Lanning Auto & Tire was closed, so I did not have a chance to look at their operation.
CHARLES HTeam was very helpful and the scheduling process on line was very good.
Paul WShowed up at the scheduled time to pickup 20’ reserved truck. Was told to go to different location from previous reservation, an abandoned building with trucks around but nobody to issue keys etc. After being on hold over 30 minutes with corporate they tried putting me in 10’ truck that was too small. Nothing was prepped, snow and ice covering windows with no ice scraper available. Just given set of keys to go find the truck on my own in big lot with numerous trucks. What you could improve: Have employee retrieve correct truck, inspect it for any issues, and have it staged. Then bring the truck to the customer on time and ready to go
MATTHEW HThis location never have the equipment that I ask for and I never get an email or call ahead of time. I was charge a hold of 100 and was not warned about this until afterwards
AIMEE PMy elderly mother ordered this as a one way online for me and somehow we ended up with an in town rental and we're charged over 2k when I dropped it off. Terrible will never rent from U-Haul again. Also had safemove insurance and that should've covered it but didn't.

JOSEPH BI need to review the APP but I was struggling with an unattended pickup. If the Location owner hadn't arrived early on a Saturday morning I wouldn't have been able to get my truck. Big thanks to him!
RANDALL NThe trailer wasn’t swept out & clean when I picked it up so I had to sweep it out when I got home before I could load it. The man was nice and loaned me a dolly from their place since they were out of the U-Haul Dollies.

TIMOTHY TArrange the rental for the trailer here and they were very helpful and answered all the questions I needed answered. When I drop the trailer off the mechanic even solved a dash light problem I had. We'll go to them again
WILLIAM CI picked up the truck it looked clean when I went to load it the entire floor and ramp where covered in oil I called your customer service and no one called me back I had to clean it up myself because all the locations where closed so I ended up putting more miles on it and having to pay extra
JAMES FI had to use the app to verify drop off of my trailer, but the app froze before I could upload my photos to verify drop off and when I restarted it, it said I'd finished the process and wouldn't let me add the photos.
ALEXANDER GMobile pick up did not work through app. I waited more than 40min over the phone to get drop box code and truck key.

MICHAEL ORented a 10 ft truck. The only thing that would make it better is a pull out loading ramp. I was moving some heavy furniture, and a loading ramp would have made the process easier. Other than that, the truck was great.

Chris WThis is a very unfriendly and unorganized place to rent a U-Haul. They may do wonderful auto service work (I do not know), but I would not recommend using Lanning Automotive for U-Haul rentals. The owner seemed like he was in a foul mood from the moment I stepped into the small and dark service counter area. I have rented from U-Haul (other locations) 10 times since 2019 and have always been treated with courtesy and appreciation. It seems like the U-Haul part of this guy's business is an irritant to him. When I returned the truck, he asked for my keys and said, "That's it. We'll check it in later." Two days later I received a $25.00 cleaning fee from him. This is unacceptable. Had he looked at the truck and pointed out a problem to me, I would have corrected it. I have never been charged an extra fee by U-Haul. My advice: If you need to rent from U-Haul, find another location.
Joe BEmployee Ethan left me waiting for 30 min before another person decided to help. Ethan had zero enthusiasm to be at work and assist customers.

MICHAEL DI had rented the wrong type of trailer initially, upon return the guys offered to swap out and correct the paperwork. It was really easy and the employees were very helpful.

Pam SBuy newer trucks. The truck we rented had a broken seat which left the driver sitting in hole and uncomfortable to drive. The gages on dash were hard to read during the day and night. It needs new shocks. The ride in general was piss poor.
Larry LNothing, with this location. Took me probably 10-15 minutes total time in and out. At other locations it has taken me up to 30+ minutes.
Charles KI returned on Saturday, they failed to check it in, and called me on Thursday wondering where the truck was. They found it, but charged me for extra days. I finally got them to credit the money back. Poor customer service, multiple phone calls.
