Advertisement says you will get 1 month free storage, signs are posted in the cab and in the back of the Uhaul but this storage location does not participate in that once you already select it from Uhaul site. This is why I choose this storage location because the uhaul website tells you which ones participate. But when you get to location, the manager tells you no they don't participate so it is full months pay. No one was there on Monday when we dropped off the Uhaul. I was able to reach the manager by phone and found out how to return the uhaul. The app did not work to check in the uhaul, you have to take pictures through the app or possibly pay damages. I explained the situation we could not check in and hoped the app worked to check out. Manager at this location said if I couldn't use the app, there would be a 20 dollar convenience fee for her to check it in. Convenience for who? The app not working is not the customers fault and they should not be threatened with more fees. The manager at this store said she would waive the 20 dollar fee if the app didn't work. Thankfully, the app worked and we completed our 1300 mile trip. It is stressful to use the app that doesn't work off and on. Customers also need dumpsters that customers can use. This location only has dumpsters for company use only.

Rented a 9 ft Van. Drove less than 6 miles for a local move and was charged for 2 gallons of gas. It appears the van gets less than 3 miles to the gallon. Spoke to the agent at location. She stated that she understood and would work to refund the gas charges but this required her field managers approval. No response on the refund.

The bed of the truck was filthy, lots of dirt and didn’t seem like there was any attempt to clean it. The bed of the truck looked like it was recently vandalized and the bed smelt strongly of weed.

Truck was great. However, my experience at your vendor Layton storage was terrible. That woman should not represent your company. I can tell you this, I will never deal with that establishment again. Additionally, I would never recommend any to deal with them as well. If I had any time time to find an alternative I would not have even rented the truck .. you have a problem there.

Have the equipment I ordered actually be in the truck at my pickup time and when you don’t have the equipment refund me my money instead of doing absolutely nothing.

Transmission slipped the whole way. Storage shed didn't lock when I got here. I refused to leave my belongings in an open storage unit. I'm disabled. This move almost killed me. Tried to return truck to the place I rented it but they wanted full price so I was without my vehicle for 3 days because they didn't have the equipment for me to tow it. It took all of my social security so I'm out in the cold and when I got here my truck was damaged so I can't move on to where I'm going. It was not supposed to be like this. Happy homeless Christmas to me.

Being open7 days a week would be great. Not the drop-off locations fault but U-Haul's. It's not right to pay a $20 drop off fee when a location isn't open 7 days a week. Most apartment complexs don't let you leave a trailer sitting nor does a customer what to be responsible for an empty trailer!

My problem was not with the location, but my app based check out experience was not good. The servers kept timing me out, and making me start over when trying to upload photos. What should have taken 5 minutes, took nearly 45 min in total. I actually had to leave the truck for another appointment and come back to try checking out again, until it finally worked. I would have been checked out by 6:00 had I been able to the first 5 tries, and I think I may have been charged an extra day for doing so. Anyhow, the truck was fine, the lady at the location was awesome, just left a bad taste in my mouth in regards to the checkout delays. It wasn’t a problem with my signal either.

no parking for large trucks! Dropped keys off after hours and they did not check the truck in until 2 days later and charged me an extra day!

We were scheduled to pick up the truck after hours, with mobile pickup. The keys were not in the lock box they were supposed to be in. Had to wait over an hour for the location to open, & when it did, the employee acted like it was no big deal, even though it caused our entire move to be off schedule, & we didn’t have help as long as we would have if we would’ve been able to pick the truck up at the time we had reserved it for. She had the key hanging behind the counter & seemed clueless to the fact that she was supposed to have put it in the lock box. The truck also only had half a tank in it, which made it more difficult to figure out how much to put back in, rather than filling it up completely to make up for what we had used. Will never use this location again.
