Place was great and the customer service, there was a mix up on the time the U-Haul was needed which caused extra charges I wasn’t expecting. The U-Haul itself was bad, the trucks steering was horrible (not because of wind), the drivers door let air in going down the road even when shut fully. Brakes absolutely need to be changed, basically non existent. Truck also almost overheated on a 5 minute drive.
KEVIN CI feel like the gas gauges, unless the tank is full, are really difficult to read. I picked my truck up and the agreement said 1/2 a tank, yet less than a mile down the road the gauge moved down quite a bit. I only went 24 miles so when I brought it back I made sure the tank was actually filled to 1/2. Otherwise the experience was great
Janet LMy experience was wonderful--easy to rent, easy to pick up and return, just what I needed for the job. Shana was very helpful and pleasant to work with. If you'd looking for the most perfect of experiences: The truck looked really clean but would have benefited from a sweeping out. I should carry a broom with me. There was enough sand or grit on the bed of the truck that those of my magazine bundles that touched the floor had to be cleaned off.

TERRI YEasy pickup of U-Haul equipment. Only recommendation is that the U-Haul personnel go over the inspection of the equipment with the party that is picking it up, This would alleviate the requirement for the renting party to have to do it via a link. We missed the text message requesting info and by the time we saw it, the link had expired.
JON MReally bad oil leak with this truck. Leaked oil all over both the driveway that I was moving from and the driveway I was moving too. Returned truck early due to fear it would break down with a full load. Very disappointed in the maintenance. Overall experience with the location was great. I called to let them know about the leak and they offered another truck, unfortunately, the truck was all packed and we didn't want to have to unload it and reload it. The only truck they had was a 20' truck which was way too big.

ROYAL STruck was not cleaned before we picked up- called the location and was transferred to uhaul because the location said they could not make notes on the reservation or do anything to help. Medication on the floor, soda or something else sticky in the cup holders, no ac on a 96 degree day, gas was lower than we were told at pickup, we returned it with extra. We took it because we had no choice and had to make our pickup appointment for furniture. Overall not thrilled but the truck still worked for what we needed it for.

ROSALIND SThe administrators at Leland Storage are excellent; friendly and professional. My complaint is with the U-Haul procedure of picking up a truck. If I hadn't called the number on the reservation, I would not have known that my place of pickup was changed without notice to me. I wanted to pick up the truck in the Leland location because that is where my storage unit is and they rent U-Haul trucks. The location I was switched by U-Haul was an extra 10 miles round trip from the Leland storage. Makes no sense for me to do U-Hauls work in moving their trucks to the location I originally wanted. U-Haul has a poor system not only in communicating to the customer there is a change, but to add an extra expense to the customer, or as U-Haul might see it at as extra revenue. I have nothing but good things to say about the people at Leland Storage for their help in correcting the situation and getting a truck for me to use that day.

DAVID TThere was no one there. I had a reservation for a 9 am pickup, as did another gentleman. He was told the location opened at 9. No one ever showed. I went through phone app pickup process and got out of there at 9:35. The default photos they showed of the truck did not match the truck’s condition and I had to take my own. Very disconnected customer service.
JOE GMy reservation was set weeks in advance for 8am. When I arrived the keys were not ready for my departure. I had to wait until 9am for the storage place to open. This impacted the movers I had available and lost packing time. The lady at the desk was rude. Then I had to wait again for her to remove the last renters blankets. The cab was not cleaned at all.
Andrew WNo appliance dolly that I ordered. Only six furniture pads available, ordered 2 dozen. Air conditioning in truck did not work.

KATHERINE SThe app was really difficult and tedious to utilize- should be clearer regarding how long it will take to get your vehicle and return. Lots of pictures need to be taken and lots to be filled out. Had difficulty getting lockbox open also. We were there about 1/2 hour before we actually got in the truck. Wouldn’t recommend getting truck via app- would have the building open and go through that way.

Stephanie HThis was the WORST experience. While the storage facility staff were SO friendly, our 26’ U-Haul was infested (under the cab) with ANTS. We were not made aware of the ants, as the staff were also unaware of them. We rented 2 U-Hauls for this move, requesting both from this location. U-Haul cancelled the second truck, and rescheduled it for another location. (So much for that $50 guarantee they advertise- we weren’t offered that, just told they cancelled our reservation & moved it across town, adding significantly more (unwanted) mileage to our trip.) Anyhow- below the seat/ under the cup holder; there’s ants. THOUSANDS of them. We discovered this as we unloaded one perfectly normal truck, and then began this truck. About 1/2 way through this truck, the ants were found & they were ALL OVER our boxes, crawling IN THE BOX HANDLES, biting and taking over all the things. They were everywhere, and I sobbed, as we couldn’t move our otherwise immaculately packed and stored boxes (in a spotless, pest free storage facility) into our brand new home. Instead, we had to go to war against the ants in the driveway as we moved the boxes in, causing us to lose a significant amount of time & productivity with our paid for U-Haul contracted movers. We spent quite a bit of money on our movers & now an additional pest control bill to make sure these ants don’t wreck havoc in our home, etc. On top of this fun- when I contacted U-Haul to ask about the ants / share my concern, the first response I received was that I would be charged a cleaning fee because of their infestation problem. The second representative I spoke to was much more understanding & helpful, now we are waiting on U-Haul to respond to our inquiry with them. All that to say, I know that trucks travel around from location to location, and it’s not the fault of the storage facility, but overall, U-Haul failed big time on this one.

Thomas SApp does not work and everytime you need an update or have a question and call, the answer is download app and you can do everything from the app. Very irritating when app doesn't work. Uninstaller and reinstalled 3 times, when moving nobody has time to deal with app issues. Terrible for U Haul!

Juanicka WOffice hours indicate they open at 9:00 am But office was closed. 1st day waited til 9:35 until clerk showed up to open. Then following day when I returned uhaul again the office was still closed st 10am and no one to assist with return so I frantically tried to do return online. This was the worst service I ever had with uhaul.
