This is no reflection on the staff at either end of the trip, but information about the vehicle. The cargo area of the truck was well designed and excellent. The driving portion of the truck is awful. The steering has a frightening amount of play in the wheel before a turn actually starts and no cruise control. I know this is by design to keep drivers attentive, however on a long trip I’d causes painful driver fatigue and stress. The cabin noise is also quite unpleasant on a long trip. For these reasons I would never rent another U Haul for anything longer than 100 miles.
