Trailer lights were non functioning/burned out. Trailer was beat to hell. Trailer was missing flat 4 pin connector. I had to go buy a new connector to even use the trailer. Parking space for the trailers is a joke and really small. Not an easy place to hook up or unload.Michael H.

I have rented from UHaul and this was not a good experience.. I was unable to get into either of the 15' trucks sitting at the location and thanks to the help of Kevin at the Wilmington location, I was able to contact a DM for assistance and get my truck. Very disappointing because I still had to pay my 4 movers $150 each while they sat and waited at my home for the 90 minutes it took to get this resolved. Won't be doing the 24/7 route ever again, it wasn't a good experience at all.Janet L.

No one present in the office when I arrived to pickup my trailer. Had to phone a rep and waited 15mins. There was no assistance hooking up or unhooking the trailer. I had to do it myself. Have rented UHauls many times and this was a first. Not an awful experience but certainly not optimal customer service.Wayne C.

I had the worse experience trying to rent a truck from the main uhaul line. I was transferred several times to different departments and no one was still able to help me. It took me almost 3 hours to rent a truck which is just unacceptableAndrea R.
The issue with my past rental was the uhaul app. It would not load my pictures after trying so many times. I finally tried the website on my phone and it worked. There were loading issues on the app at drop off and pick up which was very frustrating.Janelle D.

Our truck was available when promised and worked flawlessly. We checked the truck in a day early while the location was closed using the online process. Do that before you drop off the keys because they ask for a picture of the odometer - oops, I didn't do that. Nonetheless, the process was easy and without issues. I would definitely recommend this U-Haul location.Robin F.

The employees at the Leland Storage helped us out with what could have been a dangerous situation. We picked up our 15' truck from Front Street Market in Wilmington, NC. They didn't have the car dolly we needed, so we were sent to the Leland location for that. While hooking up the car dolly, we noticed that one of the back tires was actually slashed and totally flat, but was being held up by the other tire, which is why we didn't notice it at Market Street. The Leland employees worked to help us get a replacement truck, worried for our safety. I am thrilled with the customer service at the Leland location, but will be writing a Google review about the second location. The employee at the Front Street location not only gave us a dangerous vehicle, he didn't even have the courtesy to get off of a phone call (on speaker so we could hear the other party) in which he was talking about a woman. So, how can Uhaul improve the situation? Send in a person acting as a customer and get a true view of how the employees are treating customers. Some locations should NOT be allowed to represent Uhaul, much less rent out equipment to people that could be dangerous.Shawn S.

Doors were locked and had to ask the guy where to park it. No information given on anything or truck verified immediately and then 2 days later I get charged 50$ for fuel service charge but since I didn't take pictures I can't do anything about it.Elliott G.

I had a small move with a trailer which only took an hour to load or less, it would b helpful to have " by the hour" costs. It is unfair to customers to pay 2 hours labor when it was only 1 hour. If u work 1 hour at work, r u expected to b paid for 2. Per hour is needed.KAREN D.

The location I rented from was great. My problems are with UHAUL. I am dissatisfied with the reservation process and no being able to secure a vehicle from my preferred location which created additional mileage for me. The UHAUL app that I downloaded never worked and the three cust srvc reps admitted this is normal for UHAUL. Totally disappointed in the process. The actual location was GREAT!CHRISTINE G.

To Whom Is Accepting This For Review: I am communicating to you to express my disappointment, as well as my major concern for future customers, based on my dreadful experience with U-Haul serviceâ€¦NOT the product (4x8 cargo trailerâ€¦the trailer was great!) The receptionist at the desk was fineâ€¦Kind & Courteous. HOWEVER, the person who was SUPPOSED to have connected the trailer to my vehicle was totally INCOMPETENT! Why do I say that?..., you might ask. Here is indisputably why: -He didn't know what a Cotter pin is. -He didn't know it had to be removed to release the slide bolt in the hitch. -He didn't know how to remove the cotter pin. -He didn't know the slide bolt had to be removed in order to insert the hitch into the hitch assembly -He didn't know the chains had to be shortened. -He didn't know how to shorten the chains. -He didn't know how to securely hook the trailer onto the hitch ball!...as a result, -I hadn't gotten more than 50 feet out of the parking lot when I observed that the trailerâ€¦CAME COMPLETELY OFF the ball, and started DRAGGING on the road! I had to fight the jerky tugging forces and carefully brake to a stop on the road! Then, I had to walk back to the office and report the calamity that had just happened! The receptionist called for help, and got the same Incompetent person to assist in attempting to RE-hook the trailer. The receptionist attempted to assist him. When I got home, I asked a strong, robust neighbor to check the hookup, because I didn't trust it. My neighbor did a magnificent job of Re-hooking and manually testing it. He then assured me it was hooked securely! I was able to successfully use the trailer, and return it ahead of scheduled time. PLEASE investigate this! This whole disgusting experience could have had a disastrous outcome for everybody!!!NOEL B.

When I tried to drop-off the trailer at 4:55pm there was no one there and the door was locked. Sign says they're open till 5:30, but the attendant stepped away and I had no way to return the trailer except to wait 20mins for her return.Stephen L.
You made it to where even tho I returned the trailer early, I was still charged for it cause it was booked together. That is not very customer friendly. I feel.as if you stole my money. I have used uhaul about 6 times in the past 2-3 years, but I suppose I'll give Ryder or Penske a shot. This experience put a sour taste in my mouth.Justin B.
