I pick up Saturday and return Sunday to the same location,give the key to the same person but two days later uhaul company calling me and asking me when will I return the truck. I reserved a 10 foot u-haul on Sat. for the entire day starting at 11AM. I arrived only a couple of minutes before someone else who also reserved the same truck. It's unethical that two people should a confirmed rental for the same truck.The owner argued and blamed me for arriving at 1PM, which is shocking and completely irrelevant. I reserved the truck for the day from 11AM and I had a receipt showing I paid for it. In the end, I did get the truck; it was probably because the owner made more money with me. I used it to move my things from Queens to NJ, while the other person needed it between Queens and the Bronx. For me it would have been terrible not to get it, since I hired help to move my belongings and planned things days in advance with the expectation of getting the truck. It was only sheer luck that I arrived a couple of minutes before the other person. It's completely inappropriate to run a business like that since everything is contingent on having the truck.Frederick R.

The initial place I rented in ozone park NY said that the uhaul I reservered was stolen and not available. Then they sent me here, the guy didn't show up till 25 mins late after 9am. Then when I drove off with he vehicle the steering wheel was so tight and low ok fuel. Horrible experience when my initial booking should have been gaurenteed and then I was sent further away and had to choose a smaller vehicle adding more time and miles to my booking with zero apologies and given a dangerous truck with little steering fluid. The place I got the truck from on 149th st had bad parking and was a mess. Terrible uhaul experice that day. I ended up loosing money that day trying to do a moving job.abdus S.

Because there is no parking available. I had to look and find parking on the street which is not a reliable return process. I would not recommend it to a friend because the renter becomes liable of the truck.JEAN D.

Uhaul needs to ensure that trucks are in stock. I reserved a truck well in advance for a move, & upon arrival I was told that the truck was not there. I was also sent â€œup the blockâ€ to another location, only to be told that there was also no truck available. After returning, we did not receive a truck until 3 hours after my reservation was set to begin, which caused so many delays in my day. In addition, we had to wait longer because staff was not on sight & ended up having to cancel the reservation & begin a new one for no reason (as instructed by the staff member who did not seem very knowledgeable. I will definitely not be using this location again. I would instruct others to pick up from an actual uhaul place where there are a plethora of trucks in stock.Lamond L.

The man who helped me was very nice. Helped me very promptly and I was on my way. I think maybe have some more U-Haul signage. I went to Liberty Auto Parts first because their signage was bigger and said Uhauls are across the st. The only U-Haul sign I saw was the key drop which is pretty small. I just want sure if I was in the right place until I asked somebody who was busy working on a car, I didn't wanna bother anyone.Robert H.

He made things go very smoothly in a stressful time to help expedite things, since I was initially having a issue getting verified and cleared with Uhaul to drive. I rented uhaul December 4th 2020. The charge was pending for a month then was reversed and sent back to my card. I called the location and was told they did not know what I was talking about. Today February 6th 2021 my card was attempted to be charged $245. The charge includes fuel even though I made certain I refilled the tank. I have photo proof of thisShanell D.

Very bad first I returned the truck on Saturday night and they put I returned it to today,I have the video where I packed it the time and the day on the 26 the same day I only use the truck for 10 hrs,he charged me for assurance I didn't asked him never sign for it,very bad experience,I need a refund, I got charged to much,just for one day about 40 something miles.Max F.
Firstly, you have to go around the corner to the Auto Glass Shop so you can complete the transaction and then go back around the corner to pick up the rental. The inside of the cab was disgustingly filthy and hasn't been cleaned since the truck was new. Then the Heat Did NOT work at all, no fan blower or heat at all Make sure that you take pics of the Before and final Mileage along with the Fuel Gauge reading before and after so they won't try to overcharge you. And finally, the Final invoice comes 3 days after you return it and that is Not AcceptableAnthony F.

Simply Terrible Location. I rented using the 24hr truck share/rent with a cell phone. I arrived to find the truck but not the key. I asked in the Auto shop where to find the key, and was told that the person with the key was out, and I would have to go the main branch in Jamaica, about a mile a way. I had no ride, since I was expecting to be driving a truck, so I had to walk 15 min to the main branch. I wait in line 25 minutes, to be told that the key was not there, I had to return to the auto body shop. I walked another 15 minutes back to the body shop and finally the owner shows Up and gives me the key to an old, beat up truck with the check engine light on. Wastes an hour and 20 minutes of my time and a completely needless walk to the main uhaul branch. Suffice it to say I will never be going here again, nor will I be renting with uhaul.DANIEL D M.

When the clerk informs you that you'll be getting credit for taking the truck with a little less than 1/4 of a tank & you return it with more than 1/4 of a tank and you don't even get the credit that you were promised, I found it insulting when my bill was over $100.00. To think that I only drove it 29.4 miles and was billed for 70 miles was a little ridiculous. But I'll just leave this review out here so others can be well aware of the deceptive practices that went on with MY rental!!!Darwin G. F.

I made reservation a week before to prevent surprises, that day I went to the location following the GPS but the address was not the same for the local, I call the local and the information for the real address was denied, he ask about my reservation and say â€œyou need to go to different u-haul, your car is not hereâ€ and hang the phone I was asking until I came to the local, the attendant ask about the reservation and repeat to me: â€œI told you that I don't have your truck, you need to go to another u-haulâ€ -I'm walking I have not a car here do I can not go walking â€” I can drive you â€” At the different local I explain the case and they call the office and send me back to the first local so I went walking, after 2 hr I get the same truck that was in the first parking, 2 hr that the 3 moving guys was not working without truck but charging just to be there so, my experience was .... incredibly disasterCarlos G.

Uhaul trucks are safely locked behind a gate but were unable to be accessed until the location manager arrived an hour and a half after the start of the reservation. Vehicle key lockbox did not contain key, which must be retrieved from the manager. Gas station is nearby to fill up tank as needed. Drop-off was conducted around the corner at intersection rather than at gated parking area.Jae Yong E.

Every time I ask him a question he answers and follows it by â€œ I don't fucking care.â€ The location is hard to find, The adddess is different. it's an auto glass that sells mattresses and beds and had a tiny u haul sign on the glass? the man attending was nice, but there were somethings I did not like. He didn't give me a paper contract, it came as an email, and there was no clear evidence of a registration or insurance for the truck I rented, but he said it was ok. I returned the truck yesterday and did not get a a receipt. He told me that the system was down and that he would email me the receipt in about 30 min. He never did. I called him this morning and he told me again that I would get the receipt in 30 min. I never got it. I need the receipt.alex R.
