Uhaul trucks are safely locked behind a gate but were unable to be accessed until the location manager arrived an hour and a half after the start of the reservation. Vehicle key lockbox did not contain key, which must be retrieved from the manager. Gas station is nearby to fill up tank as needed. Drop-off was conducted around the corner at intersection rather than at gated parking area.

Why was I charged a cleaning fee for a unit that was not even cleaned to begin with. Bad customer service. I live 2 blocks away and only drove 3 miles I did not say yes to the safe move. But was charged to my credit card. This U-Haul location is no good. I will never go back to 149-12 97th ave.

The guy said a lot of nonsense. Told me if I don’t like you, you don’t get a fucking truck. Every time I ask him a question he answers and follows it by “ I don’t fucking care.” The location is hard to find, The adddess is different. it’s an auto glass that sells mattresses and beds and had a tiny u haul sign on the glass? If didn’t feel like a place if business at all.

the man attending was nice, but there were somethings I did not like. He didn't give me a paper contract, it came as an email, and there was no clear evidence of a registration or insurance for the truck I rented, but he said it was ok. I returned the truck yesterday and did not get a a receipt. He told me that the system was down and that he would email me the receipt in about 30 min. He never did. I called him this morning and he told me again that I would get the receipt in 30 min. I never got it. I need the receipt.

Danny and team are dependable, fair and friendly. The equipment is well maintained which is no surprise as they run an auto shop. U-Haul drove smooth and we didn’t have to wait in any lines etc making for an easy pick up and return. Will go to this location again.

I reserved a 15ft truck online, however, it was not available when I arrived. I had to get a 20ft and paid more money. The $50 money guarantee for the truck was a lie. I did not receive the $50.

we dropped the vehicle 1day early and 300 miles less and asked for a refund for unused miles and insurance and was denied.

I arrived for my scheduled pickup and was told that my pickup location was changed. In New York City commuting takes time and money. It was very upsetting to hear that I would have to travel another hour to get to the available truck. I made my reservation at the beginning of the week and my conformation was given to me through several reminder phone calls. There was no call for the pickup change. Then when I spoke with customer service i was told there was nothing they could do. I was then passed to the scheduling manager who was short with me then abruptly fixed my problem. She then hung up in my face. Customer service was very poor.

The person we spoke to on the phone was the nastiest person and had terrible customer service. He hung up on me twice after just asking simple questions of "what time do you open?" and "is my specific car there?" I will be writing a formal complaint and posts reviews on various websites

The owner ‘Spiritual Adviser’ was terrific. Very friendly and made my experience at U-Haul a great one. I’ve been to other U-Haul locations and the service wasn’t great. This tome although smaller and not a typical U-Haul site it was great

When you say that you only need a phone in order to unlock the van during off hours PLEASE also say: you’ll also need two friends who are free to answer the phone and vouch for you, and a camera phone in order to take photos, and it takes at least 20 minutes to do all of this. It isn’t just “scan and go”. Thank you.

I had to spend more than an hour finding the location and getting help from the customer care service. The self pick up was a disaster. It asked me to go inside and speak to a personnel when the location was closed.

I kept the truck for one extra day but I changed the reservation by calling the guy in charge. When I went to return tje truck he took cash for both days and told me I will get my refund for credit card within 3 days. Its been a month and I still didn't get my refund!

I will not be recommending this location to anyone. This location made an already stressful situation (MOVING) way more stressful. I reserved a 15' truck w/ utility dolly, appliance dolly, and blankets. A hour after I was due to pick up the truck ( which was totally my fault I was late I went to the wrong location) I get a call from a may saying "you know I have no dollys or blankets" Uh no how would I know that when I reserved that along w/ the truck when I paid in full. he then says oh just come get the truck and I'll tell you where you can get the dollys and blankets. Now the location is a seedy hole in the wall that is beyond disgustingly filthy- The truck however was spotless. I go to the facility where I was directed (on my mileage that I am paying for) to go to pick up dollys and blankets and lo and behold I get to the register and was told that they did not have any dollys available but they had blankets. so immediately I am beyond pissed and the people at that location ( The huge Jamaica location that used to be the wonder bread factory) really helped out. they did not have any utility dollys but they did have two appliance dollys that we made work. I am so grateful for all of their assistance. They really helped me out when I was on the verge of just saying forget it all. I am sorry I did not get their names but they were there around 12pm on Saturday 7/2/2017. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

When I rented the van couple of years ago from the UHAUL the UHAUL also contacted me if I wish to contract the movers to upload or download the boxes and furniture. I wish this feature will be restored. Hiring the people out of the street is jeopardy. In addition they want the cash, they do not accept the credit card. It is difficult to find the professional movers. If the bill is over $100 then I wish I have receipt. They are plenty of temporary visa holders and they could do this job.
